The room and washroom was very clean

The owner was very kind and the place was clean and tidy

I stayed in a small double room with ensuite bathroom that had a great shower. The room was clean, comfortable and cool. Although there was no breakfast available (reflected in the booking) there was a microwave and fridge available for guests aswell as daily cleaning and fresh towels. I met Mike the owner who was helpful from the start and both the owners were contactable if required. The property is perfect for bus links to the town centre and Chester Zoo. I felt safe as a single, female traveller.

great price, the decor was original maybe 1930’s even the paint! The mattress was firm, everything worked & the shower had decent water pressure. Our host was great, welcoming & friendly.

The towels were a little ‘washboard’, past use by date.

This was a generous well proportioned room with comfortable seating and attractive bow window area. Hoole is a great little neighbourhood with good communications and some lovely shops and cafes. Parking is easy and Chester Cross is just a mile away as the crow flies. Our host was very friendly and the room was serviced regularly which we had not expected. Beds were very comfortable. Chester itself is still a great city and everyone should visit it.

Not much, although the television might be good to upgrade a little.

Location to wedding we were attending

Booked as attending nearby wedding. Owner seemed surprised we were a couple - wanted £10 surcharge(for 2 people staying in a double bed rather than 1???) Completely unnecessary. Room cold with no way of putting heating on, shower lukewarm and no breakfast available? so not really a B and B . Avoid at all costs.

Comfortable room, good location, plenty of parking and helpful staff.
