This property is outstanding. Beautifully decorated and furnished. The house is spacious. Has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The view towards the river was gorgeous Loved looking out first thing every morning. Help was readily available for a few minor issues. As stated it is a 1950s house with some limitations ie small bath rooms narrow halls etc. However these issue are minor compared to the overall quality of the experience. Enjoyed the quiet Most days could only hear the birds- with an occasional jet Overall our 10 days there was terrific

Pinckney Homeplace is a unique property. Its located in a quiet waterfront neighborhood. The interior has vintage charm dating to the 1950s. Its well equipped for cooking. There is a Mr Coffee drip machine as well as a Keurig coffeemaker. Plenty of dishes and seating. The main bedroom and twin bedroom with crib share a small bath. 2 other bedrooms share a hall bath. There's a cozy den with TV. The long dock and gazebo look over the marsh and waterway. Seating in the gazebo is a great way to spend an afternoon, watching the ducks, egrets and boats. Our family enjoyed a holiday gathering here. The owners had even provided some Christmas decor and a beautiful Nativity scene in the large living room. Thank you, Pinckney family

We really enjoyed our stay at Pinckney Place again this year. Love spending time on the dock and the house provided everything we needed.

Beautiful setting, house is old but in good shape with lots of 1950's - 1960's vibes. Five old friends gathered for an annual trip of golf and other indulgences. Everyone of us recommended renting the same place next year.

We have stayed here many times before. It is a great property for comfort, peace and quiet, awesome view of the Intercoastal out back, the Beaufort River. And the air shows from across the river are a bonus. We never get tired of seeing the military jets fly from the training base. Such a great place to stay! Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful place! The Host was magnificent!! The dock amazing!! I always try to come here at least once a year. The house reminds me of home! Plenty of provisions in the house as well!

Loved this place so much. And the pictures don’t do it justice. We didn’t think the place had a tv bc there is no picture of one but there is a den with a tv not shown in their photos. The view is outstanding! The dock is awesome! The neighborhood is awesome! And super great proximity to everything! We are currently planning our next trip back now.

That this property is a true find! If you love to fish or crab or sit out on a dock or under a gazebo this place is for you. The house is very large and full of character. The kitchen is probably the best stocked of any place we have stayed!

*****May 18 - May 21.2023***** I did not go up to house this time, my friends reported these things to me. Just thought you may want to know. 1) Lock box was very difficult to open 2) Electrical plug broken off in the outlet in one bedroom with single beds not one with crib. Noticed when plugging in extension cord because no outlets in bathrooms. 3) Ceiling fan appeared to be very loose Overall my five college friends (80/81yrs. young) were very pleased with the accommodations. They enjoyed walking on the dock in the mornings and once again they were very satisfied with "The Pinckney Place" just as they were in October 2022. The house is very spacious, very clean, and met their needs by having a comfortable bed available for each one. The group was very appreciative of the friendly gift of a box of chocolates from "The Chocolate Tree".

This is a very large home, despite what the photos indicate. With three bathrooms, den, living room, kitchen, porch, dock, and four bedrooms, you will not feel cramped. The view off the porch and dock are wonderful! The house is a little stuck in time....in a good way. It is well appointed and very comfortable. The neighborhood is good for walking with multiple parks and a boat ramp. The owner is responsive and very helpful. In short, this has been one of my best VRBO stays; and, I hope to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our month in Beaufort at this home full of family memories! We arrived to a spotless well equipped home, in a quiet peaceful and friendly neighborhood. Location was perfect for exploring the local area, and a large dock was available for watching the tides, crabbing or fishing. Mike next door was available for any questions and local recommendations. This is a very special place and we watched many sunsets with gratitude.

Three of my friends stayed in the Pinckney House and were very satisfied with the accommodations. The beds were very comfortable. The group enjoyed the dock and watching a school of dolphins swimming in the river. It was a positive experience for a small group of 80 year olds from different cities attending a small gathering of close college friends on Pigeon Point Road.

A comfortable roomy home near downtown with an awesome view of the Beaufort River We return to this home as much as we can to fish for redfish and trout and just plain relax! Highly recommended!

It felt like home to us. And the sunsets were beautiful. It was just a short drive to Paris Island to be with our grandson.

Loved the home, loved the view, it had plenty of room to entertain a few friends once we got there. There were plenty of stuff to do in the area. Can’t wait to return.

The dock is our sanctuary.

There were 10 of us, 4 adults and 6 kids (my husband and I, our sons family and grandkids). The house and location were perfect. We all loved the water views. loved walking in the safe neighborhood and to the local coffee shop. The dock held the boat we rented from the Marine Base, so there was fishing and sandbar swimming and dolphins galore. We could ride the boat into town and dock at the city dock and get ice cream or dinner. The boat launch was about 5 houses away. There is a great shady town park for our little grandkids to play maybe 6 blocks away. I grew up in a home similar to this large lovely, comfortable home so it was a treat for me. With our group, we didn't need a fancy house with white couches and expensive furnishing. I love a home with history and this one hit all our needs. Great large house and great location for us. Owner answered all our questions within minutes. Cell service and wifi were perfect.

What can I say, our family was able to make some wonderful memories here. We loved the dock, we had a blast out there fishing, and crabbing at night. Hope to be able to come back again sometime.

Property is clean and well-maintained. Like stepping back in time, but with amenities needed for today. Our entire group had a great time...those who wanted to relax, relaxed, who wanted to fish, fished, and who wanted to explore beautiful Beaufort walked to the waterfront via the historic district. Awesome!

As usual a delightful vacation. A classic mid 20th century home on the Beaufort river from which we viewed sunsets in the evening and boat traffic in the morning. The manager was available when needed and quickly responded to any questions that we had.

Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay at this ‘slice of Heaven’ for our son’s wedding weekend! Truly the best out of town stay we have ever had. The pictures do not do the property justice and the owners are the most hospitable, gracious people possible. Do yourself a favor and book this property today! Best decision you will ever make!

We had a nice weekend stay. House has a lot of little extras that we appreciated. Enjoyed walking the dog in the nearby park. The home nicely honors their mother.

We had such a wonderful 3 day stay here! The house is so nice and has so much character and history. The view is exactly as pictured and provides peace and tranquillity from early morning to late evening. The location is close to downtown and the neighborhood is so quiet. The owners were so friendly and easy to book with and provided everything needed for a perfect stay! We are looking forward to staying here again soon and would recommend this property to anyone visiting Beaufort.

Very clean. House was full of history. Location was great. Lots of dishes. All appliances worked and were clean. Maybe need a few more pots and pans. We cooked every meal because of how many we had staying there (about 8).
