I booked Aqua Village as a birthday surprise for my husband and the amazing staff went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. They upgraded us to a room with river view and a hot tub, made a delicious chocolate birthday cake and decorated the bed with rose petals. Two baby cots for our son and daughter were provided without any additional charges and they even got their own little bathrobes! The Petit Prince shampoo was also a hit with our 2y old son. He also loved the swimming pools and hot tub and really didn’t want to leave when the time came to check out. Breakfast was delicious, the view was great and the staff was so kind and accommodating. A highly recommended place to stay.

Due to COVID-19 the sauna and steam room were closed (understandable but still a pity)

We stayed for 3 nights and everything was great. The only issue was the noise of the construction of the parking lot cover to have it built with solar panels for the hotel to be even more sustainable, but everything was immediately handled by the hotel manager to reduce the impact on the guest's stay. The location is great, you are 15m away from the supermarket and from 20/30m from fantastic river beaches with waterfalls, we recommend "Poço da Broca"+Lunch at restaurant Guarda Rios. Fraga da Pena is big waterfall that you can visit and enjoy nature, but not the best place to spend the afternoon, we did Fraga da Pena in the morning and went from there to Coja River Beach which is quite big and very beautiful, where we had also a great lunch at the Restaurant D'aqui & D'acolá...Sandomil River Beach is also quite beautiful. The breakfast, even with all the restriction...is very good & the service was always 5*. The apartments are great & equipped with everything you need to cook a meal, the extra bathtub in the balcony is a great idea with a great view.

In the family rooms, TV in the room is a plus. I think the prices of the SUP & Kayaks are a little bit overrated.
