We booked the place one week in advance and paid in full to make sure our accommodation is confirmed as we are coming from a different city with the whole fsmily and when we arrived we couldn’t believe what awaited us! The staff told us that they did not receive confirmation from booking.com even after showing them our reservation and confirmation details! Then told us they don’t have available rooms anymore!!!!!! Imagine being exhausted and all after a long travel with the whole family with kids and senior member…then the staff later on told us that they’ll just try to find a way to accommodate us, with their other rooms with limited to no options. Room was dirty with cocroaches!!!!! Staff is too incompetent to handle situations like this and totally ignorant about the accommodation process, specially with booking apps. We asked for the manager but the staff was too hesitant, the company needs help from professional accommodation consultants, seriously. WE WILL NEVER BOOK THIS PLACE AGAIN! ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!! THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING THIS PLACE!!!

Great location, easy to get in and out of the city. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is well maintained. Will definitely come again!

Breakfast was fine. A man murdered the hell out of a Nespresso.

There were lights in the ceiling that didn’t fully turn off so the room wasn’t dark enough. There was a machine adjacent to the room that made a regular noise. These are not good for sleeping.

Conveniently located in downtown Daet. Room size is small but ok, great shower. Staff very professional and courteous

Lobby is 2nd floor steep stairs may not be convenient for older customers

Cleanliness

24hour room service was on booking. None. Food was from 7am-9am. No choice for breakfast. Had to contest for 4 breakfasts only 3 “supplied” with room. 4 guests booked. Cleaning with scrubber started at 1030 pm. Room was adjacent to reception. Unwanted early wake up due to phone in reception ringing and people talking.

It’ s clean!

Very friendly staff who did their best to make us feel comfortable. Room was cleaned and towels, etc, replaced every day, at a time when we requested it. Great location on a main road near major supermarkets and shops.

Plumbing issues with the toilet meant that we needed to place used tissues in a separate bin. Some unpleasant sewage odours in the bathroom and on entering the cafe area from ground level.

Friendly and helpful staff. Close to city centre. Good protection measures against Coronavirus, e.g. forehead thermal scanning on arrival.

No fridge in the room. Has electric kettle for boiling water but no coffee, tea or sugar. Included breakfast choices are very limited.

I was in town to visit my friend and she suggested that I stay in Hotel Formosa because according to her, it’s the best hotel to stay at in Daet. I booked it last minute as I was still deciding, and based on the reviews and photos of the rooms I went with Hotel Formosa, and I’m so happy I made this decision! Even though it was a last minute booking, I was welcomed warmly by the staff and shown to my room immediately. Check-in was a breeze and I really had a wonderful sleep. Beds and pillows were soft, and sheets and towels were white and clean, just how I like it. Honestly, I was not expecting this quality since I’m in the province but I’m so glad I discovered this hotel. Breakfast was also good in their cozy breakfast nook and it was nice to gaze at the greenery outside as I ate my breakfast. They also offer Nespresso coffee which is a nice touch as I am a coffee lover myself. Wifi is excellent too, I was able to do my usual browsing without any interruptions. Location is superb as it is within the city center and is next to the hospital, pharmacy, and the local shopping mall and supermarket. Plenty of dining options nearby. Tricycles are also very accessible as the hotel is along the road, so it’s easy to get anywhere. Staff were very courteous, polite, and always smiled and greeted me whenever I passed by. Overall, I had a terrific stay and I really got my money’s worth! Thank you Hotel Formosa! Now I know where to stay whenever I visit Daet!
