Confortable bed, large and clean room, efficient and clean badroom, very friendly and helpful staf, nice and efficient bar. Tastefull design: nice combination of old building and modern interieur in the hall, bar, restaurant area.

Problems with flushing of te toilet: difficult to get a flush and if it did flush it kept on running way too long. It is not hygienic that people are allowed to walk with shoes near the pool. It was not clean there and the shower and changing room not either. Probably because of that: sand on the floor :-( the smell of the gym was not nice either…

Not our first visit so can confirm it’s still a great convenient location for Eurotunnel travelers. Friendly welcoming team. Cosier than other hotels in the area and good bar food options depending on arrival time. Still haven’t discovered pool but next time.

Still get annoyed about having to pay £5 extra for parking when clearly loads of spaces and no helipad haha. Shouldn’t be an extra for hotel guests in my opinion. Particularly when we paid for TWO double rooms and we were charged for two cars even if only three of us in one! Thankfully the bill was rectified instantly so thank you for dealing with that small 5 pound refund despite the fire alarm going off at 8am so no lie in!!!!

We loved the extra facilities on site and the helpful staff at the desk. Rooms clean and tidy.

Not being able to get in the room earlier after travelling nearly 3 hours and then rushing to get changed with no plug to do hair etc.

Pool full of swim club and locals - not relaxing spa experience at all. Was one of main reasons for choosing hotel and impossible to enjoy. Noisy garden strimming by outside seating area early evening ruined relaxing drink pre-dinner. Impossible to talk to each other due to noise. Bedroom furniture tired and tatty.

Given wrong room to start with. Overall impression was slightly tired overall. Carpets scruffy. Restricted choice of breakfast. No pastries and the marmalade very disappointing.

Evening meal was very nice and hot. Breakfast standard hotel variety (buffet style ) offering something for everyone and was ok. Limited hot vegan option. But good for meat eaters. Room was not nice, very dark, damp carpet musty smell, noisy next to laundry service area with noisy lorries, talking and trolley collections immediately next to the room outside of window (sleep disturbance).Lack of privacy having to keep curtains closed with staff gathering outside of my window. Room not well cleaned well -dusty spots, cobweb and large spider in web at floor level in corner of the room. Bath and bin and flooring very worn. Shaver socket dated could not plug in electric tooth brush. An unhappy room. Toiletries and fridge would be nice. Also a sheet during the summer months to accompany the quilt if preferred. A refurb in the longer term might be a good option and a lift for upper floors especially for families with small children.

As it was near to our venue, we booked for ten families. Thinking “Holiday Inn” oh well! We were surprised how good it was. Reception was open airy and comfortable. Staff a delight and 10/10 for the receptionist. Our family room had good bedding and was great value

our room was dated and in need of a makeover. bathroom sink leaked and number of lights didn’t work. very few breakfast and dinner choices for people with coeliacs disease, like my wife and I.

Furniture old and shabby, very cold in room with heating option switch off - turned to air con only. Had to get my own heat blower as provided electrical heating was not sufficient.

Room had all necessary requirements, quiet nights sleep, decent breakfast choices, we only stayed one night, but it was a comfortable stay and decent price.

The rooms are rundown, the swimming pool area needed updating, had a meal at the hotel wasn’t very nice and it was quite expensive. My son didn’t eat his meal. staff weren’t very nice. Also the key didn’t work every time I try to open the room door.
