This property is beautiful and welcoming. Where ever you are in the house, you feel like you are in a park. I enjoyed listening to the waves at night, and early morning; along with the howler monkeys. Watching the parrots fly overhead throughout the day, or the iguanas basking in the sun. The property was a sanctuary for me. Chris was available, and always responded quickly to any of my questions. His recommendations for restaurants and/or beaches were always what I was looking for. There is a unique trail below the house along the creek and through the trees to walk to the beach. (Use bug spray) I’m looking forward to my next trip! Thank you Chris, for everything!

We had an amazing time at the property. The pool is awesome, we spent a lot of time in it! The property is centrally located and close Jaco, Manuel Antonio park and a bunch of beaches. Chris was super helpful with local recommendations and setting us up with catering.

Look no further for the perfect place to stay in CR. This home is it. From the incredible pool to the huge windowed doors that open up completely to allow the cross breezes through - our stay here was pure magic. Oh and I can't forget the outside shower, pure heaven. This home is modern and clean and truly breath taking in it's design and function. Christopher, our host, was literally just a text away for literally everything we needed - esp grateful for the local doctor recommendation when my husband had some stomach issues. The location is minutes from Jaco - which has everything, views, sunsets, swimming and incredible restaurants. We have stayed in many Vrbo's over the years but this one is by far our favorite.

Was the house perfect? No, could the pool been a bit cleaner? Yes, did the house had a few kinks that needs fixing? Perhaps. But overall, amazing house, in a great setting, in the perfect location. But what really made the difference is Chris, the owner. You don’t need to reach him. He proactively reaches out to you, provides you with all the info you need, checks in on you to ensure if all is ok or if he can do anything else to make your trip incredible. At some point, I was almost embarrassed of taking advantage of his very generous offers to help. Thanks a millions Chris, see you soon!

This was such a beautiful property to relax and unwind - surrounded by beautiful forest and amazing birds and butterflies- the pool was perfection especially on a starry night - chris was brilliant at helping us find things to do in the area and identifying all the plants and trees!!! Chef Bruno was amazing and we had the most delicious food. The area was so nice and relaxed there were many paths to follow next to the house to see the birds, waterfalls and the evasive monkeys!!! The local coffee shop and restaurants were great and the sunsets were amazing! We had the best time and can’t wait to get back

The house was very clean, in a great neighborhood... close enough to Jaco to go throughout the day of needed but far enough away from the busy traffic and people.Chris was very nice and helpful, the guards at the gate were nice. The house was beautiful.

This is a 5 star property for the house, deck and pool and Chris was always prompt in his replies. At this time, however, I do not feel it can be a 5 star property as there is ongoing construction in the area. We specifically asked about construction noise when we booked in August and Chris said the construction of the house next door would be finished by the time we came at the end of January. For two of the three days we were there, there were two dump trucks moving dirt along the road at the bottom of the deck and then grinding up and down the hill next to the house. This went on all day, both days. From the house construction site next door tools like rock hammers, grinders and chop saws were being used throughout the work day. The crew and equipment start arriving at 6:30 am and go until 5. if I spoke Spanish I could have told you what the house crew was discussing in their normal conversations, the sound travels that well. This makes for a very small window of opportunity for a quiet morning cup of coffee on the deck. Obviously Chris has no control over this construction but had we been made aware that construction, something we had specifically asked about, was in fact ingoing, we could have had the option to make alternate plans for our Jaco stay. We were quite disappointed to arrive into this din of noise when we were anticipating enjoying the remainder of the afternoon poolside. If this sort of annoyance would not bother you, then I would absolutely recommend this property for you stay in the Jaco area.

The house is gorgeous and is conveniently located. Having the pool was an excellent benefit and we used it daily. The communication with Chris was awesome and he provided a lot of info for us, very responsive. If I were to return I would stay here again simply for the fact of the pool and communication with Chris.

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights and it was pure paradise! The pictures on the listing are accurate, but I would say it's even nicer in person. The house was clean and inviting and the pool was pristine. While we did leave a few times for brief outings, we couldn't wait to get back to the house! Be sure to follow suggestions from Chris. They're all spot on! And if you do nothing else, be sure to stop at Cafe Bohio for the best coffee you'll find in Costa Rica. I will definitely be back!

Chris, the host of the property was absolutely great! He was attentive and made many wonderful suggestions from places to eat, things to do and even arranged for us to hire a private chef for an evening. The house itself is comfortable with a sort of minimalist decor. The beds were comfortable but very low to the ground. A couple of things to be aware of, the AC worked extremely well but is only located in the two bedrooms. The living room/kitchen got very warm but nothing that a quick dip in the pool couldn't take care of. Also, no washer or dryer, although Chris was able to work out a solution for us. Overall, a very nice stay.

If you are looking for a quite get away in a neat little surf village this is the house for you. Cant say enough about Chris the house owner, he made our trip a breeze from setting up a rental car for us that met us at the door of the airport to recommendations about what to do in the area to helping set up excisions. He was great.

My husband and I spent a week at Playa Hermosa. The property owner, Chris, was very responsive throughout our entire stay. He made recommendations of places to eat and things to check out. If you're looking for good coffee, check out Cafe Bohio (per Chris' recommendation). Very good! Unfortunately the pool had to be cleaned right before our arrival and they had to put a bunch of stuff in there to treat it. Chris communicated this information to me and let me know it wasn't safe to get into the pool that first day. I'm sad we missed that first day but appreciate him sharing this information so that we didn't get sick or anything! Once the pool was treated, it was fine and the pool guys came a couple more times to check on it and clean things up. There is construction going on close to the house so pretty regularly throughout the week we heard bulldozers and people driving by the house. It is a beautiful setting but just know there is construction going on around you so you may not always have that "peace and quiet." There is a store about 2-3 minutes away from the house that's open 24/7 which is super convenient. There's a pizza place located right next to it and both places will deliver. There is A/C in the house but only in the two bedrooms. The main living room area just has a fan. We could keep the doors to the bedrooms closed so they would stay cool and then opened up the sliding glass doors in the living room for fresh air. One of my favorite features of the house were the sliding glass doors. It made the space feel so open! Prepare to see animals around the house! There is an iguana that would frequent the porch (harmless) and geckos on the ceilings (also harmless). We also happened to see a snake one day that slithered up through the slats on the patio and made its way over to the outdoor workout area. We didn't see it again after that, thankfully! I do suggest keeping the master bathroom door closed when you aren't using it because critters (spiders) can show up in there and you don't want them in your bedroom! It was fun seeing all the different animals throughout our time there! Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed our time at Playa Hermosa in Costa Rica!

The house is beautiful and it’s in a very good location. The pool was the highlight for our kids who spend 6+ hours a day in it! Chris was able to help us schedule a catamaran tour, crocodile tour and a private chef. It made our trip unforgettable!

This property was amazing! It was beyond our expectations. The property was very beautiful and clean. The host Chris had a bottle of my favorite liquor waiting for us. The communication between Chris and my boyfriend was impeccable! Chris felt like family. Anything you needed to know for your trip or about the country Chris knows or can get done for you. He was amazing and the house was even better. The security for the neighborhood made us feel very safe and the food suggestions made us feel right at home. Thank Chris for having us and all of your help for making our stay wonderful. We will back!

Let me start by saying the house and property surrounding house is gorgeous. It is in a small gated community with monitored guard 24/7. The guards were really cool and they always had a watchful eye on who was coming in and out so I always felt secure. Chris the property owner was on point mapping out the trip and explaining the process before the trip. All questions and concerns I had were answered promptly. He plugged me in directly with all the contact information to everyone I would need to know doctor, chef, maid etc... Which was awesome since it was my first time going so it cut out me having to search all this out while I was there. Especially since these new restrictions require people entering US have a negative COVID test to renter. Like I mentioned he already had me plugged in with local doctor. I sent a message to doctor and came in two days before my flight. Took the test and they had it in the labs the next day with my results in my email the next afternoon. You will show that to airlines as your check in before departing. Whole process made easy by property owner Chris and the Doctor. I even forgot my sleep medication and Doctor was able to square me away on that the second day after arriving. Which is nice to know just in case you happen to forget anything at home. Now lets talk about my boy the local Chef Jared that helped put the icing on the cake. One of the nicest, professional, down to earth guys I have ever met. He is a hidden gem and good friend of Chris. DO NOT sleep on him as he is untapped source of information and direct plug to everything you will need to know about the area. Plus he can cook some amazing food. I had him prepare 3 breakfasts and 2 lunch's for me. The food was delicious and he was very clean and prompt on his time with amazing presentation. His breakfast spreads rivaled any top tier hotel/resorts that I have stayed at around the world. One of the lunch's he cooked for me was outside in the wood fired pizza oven. Awesome for families since kids love pizza. Relaxing by the pool while he made fresh pizza and garlic bread. He is very clean throughout process and washes dishes of everything he used before leaving. Chris can also get the maid over to freshen up the house if needed 30 bucks. Which was nice as she can swing by and make the place look like new while your visiting the town or on tours. Jared also does personal tours and airport transfers. Just know you wont be disappointed. Chris is on point!!!

My wife and I stayed here with our kids (aged 12-18) and it was a great house in a great location. Chris (the owner) was super helpful and responsive to questions I had, but really didn't need anything significant. The indoor/outdoor nature of this house is really unique and creates a great experience for a family looking to experience a mix of beach and jungle life. It's less than 5 minutes to the beach and about 10 minutes to Jaco. I highly recommend this option for a family or group of 5-6 people looking for a great and comfortable place to stay in Playa Hermosa!

The property exceeds expectations in every way. We enjoyed the pool and open concept of the indoor outdoor living. The master bathroom outdoor shower was fantastic. Chris made sure all of our needs were taken care of, including greeting us with a bottle of wine. The only thing that could have enhanced the experience more would have been lounge chairs around the pool. Overall I can't say enough good things about the property or Chris as an owner. Five star experience.

My wife and I had the opportunity to rent this wonderful home from Chris for five nights in February. The house is a modern gem nestled into the hillside complete with all the luxuries of home. Chris met us at the house, showed us around and set us up with good advice on area for shopping, restaurants, etc. We have rented vacation homes several times over the past years and have enjoyed or selections, but this vacation rental by far was our best experience. The house is gorgeous, it has views of nature and an incredible pool, a good spot to see the stars at night (if you are lucky and it's clear). The place was clean, with the necessary amenities and good internet! After our stay in Costa Rica, we realized that it's hard to find places with good internet, fast and with good signal ... haha So we are very happy to have chosen this house for our holidays!! 100% if we return to Costa Rica, we will go back to this wonderful place. By the way, they have a super cute kitty !! we fall in love!!!

We stayed in this beautiful Villa and I fell in love with it! It’s quite, has a beautiful swimming pool, the house has everything you need, very safe and clean. Christopher, the owner, was very kind and helped us know the are. Our stay was very short but definitely we will come back

Just finished a quick holiday at this amazing house and just re booked for next year! The house set up is incredible with a deck floating in the trees, whilst sitting in the pool you can see the toucans, lapas and monkeys in the surrounding trees. The waves which are just a quick run to the beach were incredible. It is an incredible base to explore the area, we rafted, hiked, surfed and sailed all within 30 mins from the house. Chris was an awesome host and helperd set it all up. See you next year!
