Amazing view from the property, exactly as advertised. We had the junior suite and it was spotlessly clean and spacious, including a full kitchen. The host was extremely helpful and kind.

We stayed at Ripa Medici at the end of January. It really is a lovely place. What you can expect is a charming room with a spectacular view from the walls of Orvieto. In front of the window there is a small table with two chairs. This is not a hotel so there is no front desk but the owner lives just across the alley. The weather was quite cold but the excellent heat made the room cozy. The bathroom was of ample size, scrupulously clean with a shower and a washing machine and a refrigerator. The fridge had a complimentary bottle of Orvieto Classico. What can't be said enough about is the view. The room was on the second floor and has a completely unobstructed view of the hills to the southwest. Absolutely gorgeous. Below the window is the walk that goes along the edge of the precipice. The location is wonderful as well. Easy walks to any part of Orvieto. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Duomo and a 3 minute walk to Piazza della Repubblica. Restaurants everywhere. And if you are staying there, go to the nearby Blue Bar and say hello to Antony. Finally, I want to thank Sabrina. She went out of her way to be helpful to us. She was easy to contact - very responsive. As we were there in January, quite a few restaurants were closed and Sabrina not only made great recommendations but she called and made reservations for us. Sabrina made our visit to Orvieto smooth and effortless.

SUCH an amazing and perfect room for Orvieto! The beautiful views, kind staff, and central location with private parking made THE PERFECT STAY! The owner was so kind and also communicated with us in perfect English as well!

We liked everything about this room, and the owner was super helpful and kind. She even helped us with laundry. We were able to leave our bags for pick up later, they couldn’t have been kinder. We would definitely go back!

It's was magical

Situated in an ancient castle nested in the beautiful Val d'Orcia region, this lovely place is a big surprise. The room is spacious and spotlessly clean, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast is delicious. The hostess Christina and her daughter Bernadetta are extremely warm and friendly, they even helped to get us an air pump for our rental car. We had a great stay here.

Very clean, tasteful room with hardwood floors and a spectacular view! Very kind host arranged parking and recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch. Quiet street in close walking distance to all town highlights.

Ripa Medici has a great location on the North side of Orvieto. The parking is easy and convenient- not a small thing where most of the parking is limited to midnight. Orvieto is easy to explore from the hotel and there are many good restaurants. Obviously from the presentation, rooms all have a great view of the valley. We drove across some quiet back roads to Civita for a morning and really recommend getting out in the wine hills around Orvieto- so beautiful!

No breakfast; admittedly we were spoiled from the many nice B and Bs where we had this , but it’s so nice to have a croissant/ cornetto, boiled egg and a freshly brewed cappuccino

Parking was a a long distance away. This should be expected though in city center.

Nice, bright and clean appartment, beautiful old furniture, quiet and with a nice view to the countryside, but only a few steps from the centre. Nice and helpful host. Everything there you might need. We did not use the kitchen, but it looked very well equipped. Parking is well organized in the parking house quite near to appartment. Easy arrival since everything was explained very well by the host.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Ripa Medici B&B. Every detail has been chosen carefully and with great taste, from the furniture, to the bed linen to the toileteries. We felt very relaxed immediately also because the host gave us a warm welcome and explained all the attractations of Orvieto. Last but not least: The view from the rooms is one of a kind!

Check out at 10h was a bit early but there was a possibility to leave the luggage so it was actually fine. Other than that there is absolutely nothing to complain about!

Our communication with Sabrina was seamless. She was a welcoming hostess and provided us breakfast vouchers for staying 3 nights. The room was clean, charming and comfortable. The location was close enough to several excellent restaurants, and the view from the room was fantastic. Upon accidentally leaving my jewelry on the last day, Sabrina went above and beyond to keep it secure until I could collect it from her. I was incredibly grateful for her willingness to return it however possible. I would definitely return to Ripa Medici!

The air-conditioner was a bit noisy

The owner reached out to me via text and email and provided very precise directions which were extremely helpful. And there was a reserved parking space close to the property which was a HUGE bonus. Everything was very convenient.

There really wasn't anything we disliked. It really had everything we were looking for during our stay.
