Wir sind sehr dankbar diese Unterkunft außerhalb Kandys gefunden zu haben. Ruhe und Entspannung, welche wir in der Stadt sicherlich vergebens gesucht hätten. Das Haus und die Ausstattung sind zwar schon in die Jahre gekommen, aber der Ausblick über den Fluss Mahaweli, die Bepflanzung und die familiäre Gastfreundschaft sind grandios. Die Jungs (z.B. Asanka), die sich liebevoll und offen um unsere Bedürfnisse bemühten waren sehr sympathisch. Das Essen, welches im Nebenhaus gekocht und im Esszimmer serviert wurde, war exzellent. Es wurde auf unsere Essenwünsche, sowie etwaige Nahrungsmittelallergien respektvoll eingegangen. Auch für unseren Fahrer wurde bestens gesorgt. Überaus sympathisch sind auch die Besitzer der Unterkunft (Mutter und Sohn). Der Sohn, der sich noch per Videoschalte am Abreisetag bei uns vorstellte, scheint die gleiche Naturverbundenheit zu haben, wie wir. Die Familie pflanzte damals wohl über 10.000 Bäume und schaffte dadurch ein Paradies für viele Vogelarten und andere Lebewesen. Toll!! Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und sind dankbar dieses Haus für kurze Zeit, als unser „Zuhause“ bezeichnen zu können.

Wir würden zusätzlich zu den großen Handtüchern noch kleinere empfehlen, da diese noch mehr für Nachhaltigkeit sorgen könnten. Mehr Haken für Kleidung und Handtücher wären auch gut.

The villa is truly amazing, and together with the kind and helpful staff, it makes you wonder why you didn't book this place any longer. The view on the river and waterfall redefines "relaxation"

We loved the location, it's on a hill and you can see the river below. There is plenty of space inside and outside the villa. We had an amazing tour of the land surrounding the villa and it was nice to see how people work and live there. The team took very good care of us and made sure we had the best time there. The food was truly amazing, a great expiriance of Sri Lankan national dishes. We will definitely be coming back.

Loved the setting, the house itself is beautiful and the location is amazing for the views and the river. The staff were so helpful always there if you needed anyone. We didn't expect to have a staff member work so closely, we could call him and he'd be there, he would cook and clean. We had Dylan and did his job so well! Everyone was so friendly and they looked after our driver well. They took us on a jungle trek down to the river making sure everyone was safe. There was building work happening but it did not bother us one bit and the place will be absolutely incredible once it's finished.

The oven appeared to have not been cooked in before but my partner is a chef and loved to cook. The wooden panel by the oven melted and came off. Not that it was a problem but would be good to fix! Nothing else, the stay was incredible!

This is an amazing villa with breathtaking views. We really liked the architecture of the villa with the sliding doors and windows so you can really feel outside while inside. Both Sanjeet and Sujith were very helpful, friendly and priovided excellent services and cooking.

Although it certainly adds to the adventure it is a disadvantage that you can't reach the villa with a normal car. The need for the jeep or a Tuktuk reduces the mobility and makes it more difficult to quickly go to the town or get some groceries.

The most beautiful views. The hosts were so amazing and looked after us so well. They really tried their best to see to all our needs. They also made the most delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner. You can hear the waterfall while you sleep and the pool is dreamy. Honestly, the best way to end off our trip. Would definitely return. The only thing to be aware of is that the house is located up on a hill and you cannot walk to any shops etc from the house but the manager organized us a tuc tuc when we wanted to go explore in the day. But be prepared for this extra cost.
