We had a week in February at this Tarpon Cove house. The 2 bedroom 3 bathroom house is fully updated and a Luxurious retreat for our family. The island is remote with access only by ferry but if you want a few days off the grid this one is for you. Andrey and Lana are great hosts with a well stocked well organized home.

Our family visited North Captiva for the first time over the holidays and New Year. This enchanting island is an eco-enthusiasts dream come true! Our hosts, Lana and Andrey, own and privately manage Tarpon Cove and it shows. The house is immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and stocked with essentials and many extras you might need during a vacation is paradise! Navigating the details on travel arrangements, groceries and rentals was no small task, but the Gera’s provided a thorough welcome packet and Lana patiently answered my many questions and gave great advice, which eased the task of preparation and planning. The Geras were both communicative and accommodating prior to and during our stay.. We were a group of 6 (3 adults and 3 older teenagers) and booked Pine Island Taxi for our airport transfer to the marina, a private water taxi through Boats and Fun and opted to have our groceries delivered to the house prior to our arrival and I am so glad we did! Our flights were cancelled and rerouted at the last minute, pushing back our arrival time by 4 hours, but our transports were able to adjust their pick-up times AND, although we arrived after dark, our heroic host, Andrey, was waiting for us at the dock. Boats and Fun was closed when we arrived, but our captain was prepared with the paperwork for the additional Golf Cart we rented. Thank you all for your help! Advice from a 1st timer… Book your transportation, rentals and activities well in advance of your trip. Buy more groceries than you think you need, including beverages. The island is casual so pack lightly. The evenings were cool so pack a sweater. Bring plenty of sun block and bug spray. Prepare to Relax!

Tarpon Cove is the perfect location for a relaxing experience with a touch of adventure in North Captiva. The home is beautiful, clean and comfortable. It is very serene with the perfect combination of adventure! Being able to access the personal dock and kayak with dolphins was amazing! We experienced all types of wildlife exposure! The golf cart was great too! Bikes were very nice and the owners have everything you need for the beach including towels and chairs. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and the space is very clean and comfortable. Beds were all very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed every minute and definitely will return to Tarpon Cove and we hope to stay longer on our next visit!

Our large group needed 2 homes while on vacation this year. This home was exceptional! All of the photos and descriptions helped prepare us for the beauty of the house, and we were still surprised and impressed. This home has everything you need and plenty of space to spread out. The bathrooms are unbelievable and immaculate! The kitchen is a dream but was under utilized for us since our meals were prepared in our other rental. The “extras” under the house were a great bonus for all of us. We kayaked to the airstrip one evening and sat while 30 dolphins swam and jumped around us. What a treat! The kayak was a highlight and not expected! All of the screened porches and deck space were wonderful and the home felt so welcoming. I had great communication with our hosts, who are wonderful people! I spend hours reading reviews and browsing rentals for the best spot for my family...this is a home I would love to visit again.

Tarpon Cove is very clean, nicely decorated,and comfortable. The owners are beyond helpful we needed to ship somethings home and the owner went to get us boxes. The property and home were perfect for my family. Making the final arrangements was simple with the help of Lana and Andrey. I would definitely recommend staying with them and exploring what North Captiva has to offer.

This was SUCH A GREAT vacation! We LOVED our stay! On the Hosts: Lana and Andrey are wonderful and detail orientated hosts! They are BEYOND helpful to ensure they create a fantastic guest experience. Pre-planning is a priority. Lana was so patient yet diligent with communication. Had she not been, I'd have missed our first day on the island as we grabbed the last few seats available for a ferry just in time. On Transportation to and around the Island: Reserve your Ferry/Water Taxi right away, especially if you are arriving on a weekend during peak. Golf Carts: One SUPER FUN golf cart for four is offered with the property. Lana suggested renting a second and to reserve it early. I opted to spare the expense and make it work with one. Even with the wonderful bikes that are available, we quickly realized that error. All carts were reserved for weeks by time I inquired. Andrey and Lana were heros and saved the day, but that was luck. Reserve a cart at least a month ahead of time! On the House: The home is as GORGEOUS and clean as shown. Every detail for a great stay is well thought out. The beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are luxurious. Outdoor shower for sand removal. Kitchen: As a busy career Mom with older kids and a family scattered at dinner time, I actually look forward to cooking while on vacation. The stove/oven and kitchen tools are usually a low priority in vacation homes. NOT in this case. Everything I needed and more was there and very high quality. The porch swing was my favorite place to spend time in the evening. Just SO QUIET and BEAUTIFUL! On activities: I didn't realize how intense the sun is so close to the equator. The house had LOTS of great beach gear, umbrellas and chairs and two small sun shelters. I recommend packing a pop-up 10x10 canopy for the beach for shade to build castles and break from the sun. The Island: ITS STUNNING!!! Kayak, nature walks, shelling, beach, pools and bar time. Going to the beach at pitch dark to star gaze, WOW! I would recommend renting a boat (Boats and fun) for up to two days as Island hopping was so much fun! Shopping on Captiva, lunching on Cabbage key and much easier than scheduling charters and not much more cost and freedom from schedules to boot! Food: Budget A LOT for groceries. Costs are 40-60% higher on the mainland groceries plus 35% service fee with grocery service (WORTH IT!!!) Pack as many dry goods in totes as you can and bring them with you!

This home was one of the best rentals we've had. It was updated, beautifully decorated, and very clean. The private dock and little bay beach across the street made our stay. It was aslso totally equipped (beach gear, toys, fishing poles, cast net, beach bikes, sand cart, floats, and more!). Additionally, the owners were always just a text away. Highly recommend.

Tarpon Cove us by far the best property we have ever stayed in. Andrey and Lana truly think of everything. The small, personal touches really make you feel like you are family. We will definitely be back!

Tarpon Cove deserves more than five stars. Awesome house on an awesome island. Lana and Andrey were a pleasure to work with and responded quickly with any question I had. I had a small issue with our luggage at no fault of Tarpon Cove. Lana and Andrey offered to make a grocery run and help out any way they could. The house was very clean decorated beautifully. I have been to the island four times and Tarpon Cove was definitely the cleanest and most comfortable. If the dates you want are available at Tarpon Cove, book it!!!

This was our first time to North Captiva and thanks to our hosts, the island, and the house it was perfect! I really appreciated all the help and information Lana provided before we arrived. We arranged airport transportation with them and Andrey met us at the dock to bring us and our bags to the house. Everything was as described. All the floaties, bikes, kayak, and fishing gear were such a bonus. Access to the pool and courts was great. It met all of our needs from a kid, teenager, and tired parents! I hope we get back their soon!

We have been coming to North Captiva for 6 years. This property was one of our favorites, beautiful and well taken care of. It actually looks even better that the pictures if that is possible. The pier is a huge bonus and a must for us on the island. Lana and Andrey were responsive and welcoming. Cannot recommend this property more.

This is a beautiful house on a gorgeous island. We arrived by water taxi, took a golf cart to the house, walked up the stairs and said “wow”! We loved all the porches and tree top views! The kitchen is amazing and stocked with everything you could need, plus extras. There is a comfy sofa for tv at night. During the day, you can bicycle all around the island, fish, kayak, bird watch, dolphin watch, and eat out at 3 restaurants. It’s a natural paradise. A hawk landed in the palm tree right outside the kitchen window and there are hundreds of osprey nesting in January. The kids caught snook and Jack’s.The bedrooms were super comfy too. Hope to be back. Oh, one minor thing, the WiFi is not especially strong due to the island location, so bring a hotspot if possible.

We just got home from our stay at Tarpon Cove and I already want to go back! This was our family's first visit to North Captiva island and I had no idea how to navigate all of the details. The Geras gave us advice on ferry times and providers, transported us to and from the airport, and even had our groceries waiting for us in the house upon arrival. The home was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated We had everything we needed and then some. Our family loved spending the mornings fishing on the dock and then spending the afternoons at the state park beach. Absolute paradise. Lana was only a text away and gave very detailed check-in and check-out instructions which was heaven for this travel planner (aka Mom). Our family has had plenty of amazing vacation rental experiences, but we have never felt as completely cared for as we did at Tarpon Cove. Thank you Gera family for an unforgettable experience saying "good riddance" to 2020 and "thank goodness" to 2021.

Lana and her family were the bests of hosts. She very actively and effectively communicated before and during our stay to help make sure we had everything we needed. Her husband, father-in-law and brother-in-law all assisted with the logistics of checking in and transporting to and from the island which made it all very smooth and easy. Tarpon Cove is a lovely house and maybe the best equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in. Overall and wonderful experience.

No shortcuts here! No detail too small to ensure everything about our stay and the property were phenomenal. Every comfort you would imagine you need is provided for you and then those you didn't even anticipate! The property is spotless in every way, modern, and very high quality. This is not a "vacation rental", it is a home away from home. ALL you need to bring is your personal clothing. You can even pre-order groceries and have them delivered. I cannot recommend this property or Lana and Andrey highly enough! Book early though because we will be back!

This my families first time visiting North Captiva Island & this place made our stay even more welcoming. Lana had great communication from the second we booked to even after our stay! We traveled to the island on our personal boats for the week and Lana put us in contact with the right people which all went very smoothly. The house alone was beautiful, clean & very up to date. Everything you needed for your stay minus food was included! The bright lighting and ocean inspired decor really complimented the stay. The golf carts (we rented an additional one since we had 6 guests) were very reliable & sturdy, this was a great addition to travel around the island. Everything we expected + more was included in this stay. Tarpoon Cove was a easy going, relaxing, modern, beautiful stay & we have already expressed our excitement to family + friends about it! We look forward to staying here again in the very near future & HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property- the owners were great to work with and the rental was very well appointed. They thought of everything which allowed us to focus on enjoying the island. The private dock was a huge bonus.

Lana and Andre (sp) have created a wonderful oasis they share with visiting guests. The home is decorated like a magazine, but you can feel the love and emotion they put into it. The island is a great experience that everyone should experience at least once in their lives.

I can’t say enough great things about the property and the people we rented from. They were so accommodating with every question or need we had. The dock was amazing for fishing and the walks to the beach were nice and short. Good location without a lot of golf cart traffic was a plus too! Do yourself a favor and stay here!

We had an amazing time staying at Tarpon Cove. The house is beautiful! Very clean, updated and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The house is owned by the most lovely people, Andrey and Lana. They were very helpful in planning all of the details of our trip. When booking Tarpon Cove you talk directly to the owners, we really appreciated the personal connection that Lana and Andrey provided. During our stay we used the kayak and private dock to enjoy the dolphin and manatee that were swimming right around the dock. We all had fun looking for shells and enjoying the calm ocean water. We had an amazing week at Tarpon Cove! Lana and Andrey made our vacation experience top notch from the moment we were picked up from the airport. It was so nice to arrive at the beautiful property and have our groceries already neatly put away. And house was also stocked with all comforts of home.. sunscreen, bug spray, Shampoo/ conditioner, huge beach towels, and most anything that you might have forgotten. They go way over the top for their guests! The house is even better than described, if you can imagine that! And the island is so quaint and beautiful. You’ll never want to leave! We just got home and we’re ready to go back.

Andrey & Lana should be considered as the perfect hosts. The property is even better than the pictures. Everything in their beautiful home is top shelf. The linens were from Restoration Hardware and the kitchen had every tool imaginable. The island is the perfect place to go during COVID-19. We felt very safe. The dock was an added plus for fishing. I highly recommend Tarpon Cove for your next vacation!!!

The property was very well decorated, convenient, clean and well thought out. The amenities such as water toys and beach chairs were greatly appreciated and the golf cart was great. The owners met us at the water taxi, helped bring our luggage to the home and walked us through the ins and outs of the property. They also picked up groceries for us, made referrals for who to contact for various activities as well as rushed over some bottles of water when we ran out. All along the way they were very communicative and we are sure to go back soon.

Andrey and Lana are tremendous hosts. The house is exceptional and is even better than the listing would suggest. We were worried about figuring out groceries but Lana made all of that so easy as well! The house is very clean and well appointed. You won’t be missing a thing!
