Dealing directly with Ruth was a pleasure and a big advantage. She was very responsive and went above and beyond what was expected to be sure we were satisfied. The house is in a section of Pensacola Beach that is not crowded. We had the entire beach in front of the house to ourselves all week. The house is well kept and very functional. The ground floor / outside area was also very functional. No complaints! Thanks Ruth.

This house is beautiful and the location was absolutely perfect for us! The house is located further down Pensacola Beach from the main action and high rise condos and hotels. The house is located right on the beach and it felt like we had a private beach to ourselves. The bedrooms were spacious and spotless. The view from the main living area was incredible! The kitchen and pantry were well stocked with everything our family of six adults and two children would need for a week's stay. Our host, Ms. Ruth, was very attentive and responsive. We had a couple of minor house issues that were handled quickly and with little to no interruption to our activities. I would highly recommend this house for families who would like an awesome beach view, beach access, and lots of space to breathe.

My family and I stayed at Sol LaRu in June 2023. The pros - The house is on a fantastic, quiet spot on the beach. We rarely had anyone within 50' of us at any time. The elevator was great for bringing luggage/groceries in and out of the house. All four of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the main level which was great for our elderly family members. The A/C systems worked great and kept the entire house comfortable day and night. The owners are very approachable easy to contact. The cons - The mattresses in both the master and 2nd gulf front bedroom were not comfortable and are worn out in our opinion. It felt like sleeping in a hole. We reached out to the owners who said they would look into our feedback about the mattresses. Also, while the sofa and chairs in the den look stylish, they were not very comfortable, especially for our older family members. In addition, there was not enough seating in the den for all 8 of our family members at the same time. The bedding and den furniture is why we gave it 4 versus 5 stars. Otherwise, the house is great. We would recommend the house to others.

Everything was lovely. The only thing we were not happy with was the bed in the master bedroom. Everything was so high end, but the bed in the masfer was a double! The .mattreas was not good, and thhe head of it tipped downwards. Did not make for a good night's rest.

Such a beautiful home and gracious hosts! Our second time staying at this property. The privacy and seclusion is 2nd to none. Location is absolutely breathtaking!! We can’t imagine staying anywhere else!! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family!

The house was very nice with an open floor plan, which was perfect for our accommodations. The elevator was a life saver. Location and walk to beach was great. The property owner was very helpful and available anytime we had questions. Made for a great visit/vacation.

Ruth was an excellent host. The house and the furnishings were just as described. This home had a very short walk to the beach. No boardwalk to cross dunes. Saw so many dolphins most days! Very enjoyable week!

Lovely home with a Beautiful Beach!

The house was in an excellent location a short distance from the restaurants and shops. The beach was a lot less crowded which was perfect since we had 3 small children. The house itself was very clean and up to date. It was well stocked with cooking accessories and towels and linens. Of most important the air conditioning kept the house cool and comfortable all week. There were also plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys available to take to the beach. Dealing with Ruth thru the reservation process and checking in and out was very efficient. She was a delight to work with. Everything went very smooth. The house is better than advertised.

It is a great house and wonderful location! We had 4 families with 11 people, 8 adults and 3 children. The 2 oldest had the entire loft to themselves with the bunks beds and sofa. The house sits directly on the beach allowing for easy access. The 2 refrigerators and ice makers make all the difference with a large group of southerners that like to cook! The owner manages the home, and she is very involved remotely. There is no property manager on-site or local as you have at other VRBO homes, which could be a plus or minus depending on preference. The only big issue for our group seemed to be the set AC temperatures. We like a cold house at night and bumping the AC unit up so high during the day did not allow time for the house to cool enough at night. We found it to be overly warm the majority of the time. Although we love the house and location, unfortunately we will not return. There is a strict 11 person limit and my children are now of an age where they want to bring a friend on our family trips. If you have a smaller group, I would highly recommend!

The home is beautiful and is only a few steps to a private beach. The host is most gracious and she made sure that we’re comfortable and enjoying our stay. The kitchen is fully stocked. Beach towels, umbrellas, tents, chairs and all beach toys for the kids are available. It’s perfect!!

This was an absolutely beautiful vacation spot-all the luxuries of home and within footsteps to the beach. Being in a less busy area of the beach was nice and the house had all the amenities to hang out on the beach. The views were breathtaking from the balcony and what a beautiful place to take early morning walks with the family! We were a large group so going out to eat wasn’t much of an option so the open kitchen/dining area was perfect-we had great cooks! Shopping and groceries were easily accessible. We had 4 generations together… made great memories! Oh, the beach was also a beautiful backdrop for a marriage proposal - congratulations to my daughter and our future son-in-law. Thank you for sharing your home and for all the precious memories for my family. ❤️

The house was perfect for our family. We had all that we needed in the house and the location is on a nice quiet area of Pensacola. Perfect for large families or couples.

We had an amazing time staying at this location. The house was well maintained and provided everything you could want in a rental house. The inclusion of multiple beach items ( chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, etc) just made it that much better. Ruth was great to work with and very timely and thoughtful with her communication. We had a wonderful stay at Sol LaRu! Our family has been staying at vacation rental homes along the gulf coast of Florida since 2009. All of the homes we have rented have been lovely but this was by far the most elegant! The kitchen and main living area are to die for. High end appliances, two refrigerators, two freezers, two dishwashers, massive kitchen island with multiple swivel stools, 60" round dining table that easily seats 8, enormous curved Samsung television, wet bar with built in ice maker, and so much room! The pantry was well stocked and we had plenty of supplies to get us through our time there. We ate most of our meals at the house and it was so functional. We used the grill on the deck to cook our fish from Joe Patti's too. There are 4 large bedrooms on the main floor, each with their own lovely bathroom (two w/gorgeous showers), and a large room on the third floor with its own bathroom, bunk beds (full on bottom), sofa w/sitting area, and a large table and chairs. My husband and college kids had to work and do online school during the day quite a bit and they set up their own office space up there. The wifi worked really well and easily handled multiple computers running simultaneously. There are gorgeous decks on all three floors. We found the seating on the main deck super comfortable and more than enough space for the 8 of us. Ruth is delightful and so accommodating. She checked in with us often and was very helpful. The house manager came by the first day to introduce himself and was very nice. We met the cleaning crew on our last day and they were great too. The house is absolutely gorgeous but the views are even better. The main floor has floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the beach and three of the bedrooms have the same lovely view. All five bedrooms have a deck off of them, 3 with ocean front views and two with bay views. My teenage children enjoyed sitting out on their bay view balconies at night. The location of the house on Pensacola Beach is fantastic. The pier is wonderful but that end of the beach is very congested. The Portofino condos at the other end of the beach are also very congested. This area is between those two so it is on the quietest part of the island.
