My friend and I stayed here and thought it was absolutely perfect! We went ahead and booked for next year. Very clean and super cute space!! Also, had everything we needed.

My husband and I stayed Saturday- Monday. We really loved our stay. We stayed in the top floor and we felt like we had full privacy. I would love to rent out the whole unit for our family in the future. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I would 100% stay here again. The location is really close to downtown Gruene. Very easy to go back and forth. Very much enjoyed our stay!

This accommodation is located in a neighborhood very near Gruene, TX. Although not a riverfront property, it is very close to both Gruene and New Braunfels for easy access to tubing, restaurants, shopping and excellent dining. It is so well designed and decorated it provides an upscale but comfortable stay. Kathleen and Greg are excellent hosts and have thought of everything. The house is in their backyard (a beautiful setting!) has ample well marked parking and both the upstairs and downstairs are connected by an interior door should you need the space of both rentals. There is nice, shady outdoor space to enjoy with a firepit, beautiful plants and a small dining area. There are bbq pits should you want to grill and a kitchenette with hotplate and small refrigerator. We enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning watching the hummers zoom by! We will be back for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Haven Guest House! The house was perfect for the three of us and the little town of Gruene was a memorable setting for our Texas cousin trip. Thank you for your hospitality and we look forward to visiting again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay - just a few mins from downtown Gruene & New Braunfels. Kathleen was very responsive & accommodating to our needs. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

The apartments are cozy, clean and well cared for. Kathy and Greg add special touches like cold water in the icebox and snacks. The outside of the property was the perfect place to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning with the deer and Hummingbirds and relax in the evening with a glass of wine.
Very good location, we walked to Gruene Hall (however it is country road so use caution) and was a short drive anywhere we wanted to go. We will stay here again!

Wonderful property, if it was possible to give it 6 stars I would. The hosts are gracious and really go out of their way to make you feel at home. If you want to see deer, they are everywhere.

Hill Country Gem!
The owners were very sweet and nice to work with. Check-in and out process was very simple. We arrived to a basket of snacks that was a pleasant surprise after a delayed flight and drive. The space is beautifully decorated and updated. We felt very at home there. It’s tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful surroundings.

Amazing stay
Greg and Kathleen are THE best! We had the most relaxing, and comfortable stay. We were nestled among the trees and deer, yet so close to town and all the fun things Gruene has to offer. We will be back! Thanks again, Greg and Kathleen for hosting us. :)

This is a beautiful little cottage with all the amenities of home. The host was very accomodating. I wished it was a little closer to Gruene but the price was very good and we had a great time.

The home is located approx 8 min from the Gruene Estate Venue and 7 min to downtown Gruene. A short drive to get to everywhere yet this home is tucked in and surrounded by beautiful tall trees and a quiet neighborhood. We felt taken care of and thought of when we arrived. Kathleen is such a sweetheart and really made sure we had everything we needed! It is a place we’re really excited to come back to for a weekend getaway!
