Everything was perfect.
The highlight is definitely the private onsen.
Nice community space and very delicious breakfast. It is closed to the bus station and to hiking trails. I highly recommend this place!

Lovely traditional Japanese inn. Beautiful garden. Had an onsen and nice to have yukata and tatami mats with futons. Lovely views. Staff were great. Nice free shuttle to town.
The right onsen is small and just ok. The left side is much better. The toilet is shared which is to be expected for ryokans. Food was simple and ok.

Quiet area, you need to access by bus (25mins around) from train station with 10mins walk.
However, it is very close to the start point for your sightseeing at Onsen with mountain train and cable car.
The hotel provide the shuttle to the train station, which is very nice. They also provide breakfast/dinner.
You can book your private session for hot spring once during your stay.

Room is comfortable and looks like the pics. Well kept and beautiful landscaping. Has really hood food service for breakfast and dinner as well as a bar. Shuttle service in the mornings. 1 set of laundry machines but helped us out. Staff is over the top friendly.

We had an exceptional stay. This inn is a great fit for those looking for a little escape from busy city life. The lounge which directly overlooks the inn's Japanese garden is an excellent fit for quiet conversation, simple board games, or for chatting with fellow travellers. The two options for onsite onsens are appreciated. You have the full 40 minutes for your own group with a minimal 150 yen fee. The inn attracts a variety of traveller groups, from families, to couples of all ages. It's an energetic but respectful environment. Our double room was clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and overlooked the garden. Tea, kettle, and water glasses (for the communal water dispenser) are provided. The staff are so lovely, from the kind front desk folks to the diligent workers at the canteen. Try the "omelet noodle" for a hearty meal. There is a free shuttle to Gora station in the mornings (9am, 10am, or 11am) if you sign up on site. The breakfast is hearty and great value to opt into. Thank you for the kindness!
Just be mindful of bus timings so that you don't wait for too long. Or take an inexpensive taxi from the hotel to the station or local attractions.

The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I walked from the station to the hotel although it is just a 15 mins walk. I will not suggest others to do so because there are many steep stairs up and down and definitely not suitable for children or elders. Better take the bus or taxi to the hotel.

Tout. L’établissement est beau, propre, chaleureux et le personnel parfait. Ils ont même préparé une surprise pour l’anniversaire de mon copain. Il y a un petit restaurant en bas de la montée ou on a pu manger le soir et le matin le déjeuner était très bon aussi. Le onsen est superbe et nous avons passé la meilleure nuit de notre vie. Merci au personnel pour cette magnifique expérience !

Un rapport qualité/prix excellent. Le cadre est superbe et l'ambiance de l'auberge très paisible. Sur place on peut diner et avoir un petit déjeuner copieux pour commencer une nouvelle journée. Il y a même un onsen privé, c'est un régale !
À une quinzaine de minute à pied de la station Gora, le chemin pour aller à pied à l'auberge est dur d'accès la nuit (peu éclairé avec des marches) ou alors il faut longer la route. La nuit tombant rapidement et tôt, c'est bien d'anticiper.

it was really beautiful and atmospheric, the room was cozy and clean with lots of amenities and the onsen was amazing
it’s a small hike up the hill so maybe not easy for everyone to reach, just as a tip, but for us it was manageable even with two heavy suitcases.

Great private I send that you can book. Lovely traditional style Japanese rooms. Pretty little garden lit up at night.
The bedrooms with bathrooms don’t even have sinks so you have to brush your teeth in the public bathroom.
Western breakfasts were a little disappointing, stick to Japanese.

nice room and garden. pirate onsen was great. u can book for 40mins at night, and you can use it again in the morning if no one is using it.

We really loved the private onsen (hot water spring) inside the hotel, the traditional breakfast served and the serene location of the hotel. Its also a good location to stay before or after exploring the active volcano and have a good view of Mt Fuji and the lake.

You can watch the Zen Garden from their lobby and use their lovely private onsen in the evening. They hand out amenities like toothbrush, Yukatta, etc. They store your luggage. Friendly staff! It's just a couple of minutes' walk from a bus stop. Would definitely book this accommodation again.
It's a steep hill up from the bus stop to the guesthouse. Be aware of that if you have heavy luggage 😬

Nice clean rooms, top class Onsen. They also have dinner facilities with really good veg option. They made really good Japanese veg curry for us. The price was very reasonable too.

The staff, facilities, food were all amazing. The view was incredible too! Everyone was so friendly and it was easy to use their onsen and other facilities.
It was a bit further away than I expected, definitely made more sense to go for those with access to a car as it is still 40-50min away by bus after you get off the main station.

Extremely clean and comfortable bed with a nice Japanese garden in front. The staff is super nice. They provide free shuttle service to the Gora station in the morning. Definitely will recommend to everyone in know.

They offer two types of breakfast; Japanese and Western. We got the Japanese traditional breakfast and loved it. It was good value for the money. The common area lounge was very comfortable with lots of mangas to read and board games to play. We also liked how they have an indoor restaurant that opens every night. As most places in Hakone close early and with Asante Inn's location being a bit far from the main area, having the option to eat in your hotel definitely helps!
The place smelled very old but was only primarily noticeable when you were outside your room. It was great that you could book private time for the onsen, but the water was flowing between the bath and a garden, which I thought was unsanitary. You will have to walk uphill for 5-8 minutes to get to the location which can be tiring for people with big luggage. The closest bus stop is also at the bottom of the hill so you'll have to take the walk back uphill every time you go somewhere else. However, they do offer a shuttle ride to Gora station every morning until 11 am.

What an amazing accommodation! Beautiful traditional room. A place to relax and recharge. Futon beds were super comfortable, probably the best sleep I’ve got in a while. The Japanese garden was absolutely stunning. You can see that there is a lot of thought and attention put into the interior and exterior design. We opted for the Japanese breakfast and it was incredible. Delicious and well presented meal that can be enjoyed while looking at the beautiful garden. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a recommendation from us 10/10.

The most memorable stay while vacationing in Japan! That simply sums up Asante Inn to me. Me and my family was having a great time here. The garden is so well kept and beautiful. The lounging area next to the kitchen feels so comfortable and homey. I can sit there for hours while gazing at the garden outside. The room is large, with comfortable thick futons. And don't get me started with the private onsen, that's the star of Asante Inn. I'm getting nostalgic while typing these :') The walk uphill to the accommodation is a bit strenuous, but other than that, Asante Inn is marvelous! Wish to go there again in the near future!!

Beatiful garden with nice and comfortable terrace. Very nice view from the "family room" - also garden-like. Free massage chair in the hotel common area. Hotel offers free shuttle to Gora station. All staff members were very kind and we felt like at home.

it is such a beautiful hotel. i had no idea I would enjoy it this much. The staff were really nice and welcoming. I wish i could have stayed an extra night. the onsen was perfect, the best part its you go in by yourself. you can book the time to go in. the view from the hotel it was mind blowing. great location. the room was really comfortable.
the hotel its uphill from bus stop hence if you have big luggage take taxi up or push the luggage up. if you are tired from previous activities, it can be a little harsh to go up the hill with them.
