Very quiet. Breakfast was good. It was exactly what we needed.
Nothing was wrong with the guesthouse. But coming from Cape Town, I was shocked by the state of JHB and its surroundings. Most streetlights not working. Most robots not working. No more paint on the middle lines of roads. Lots of general decay everywhere.

Very good location with comfortiable rooms and bed. Load shedding was handled very well with all lights and some electric points that was still working. Good breakfast with very friendly and helpfull hosts.
We struggled abit with showers as the water is warmed through gas geyser and hot water flow as a bit up and down. This is not enough discomfort to bring the rating down.

Breakfast was dry for me only had bread with bacon wish they would have add something to substitute the egg but besides that fruits were fresh. Room was very comfortable and neat as well.
For a 1 night accommodation it's very difficult to excualy pick was you didn't like . Everything was well worth it besides the breakfast no options

The breakfast was really good. Enjoyed the coffee, but with cold milk it got cold really quickly. Would have loved to be offered a second cup.
Location was good, and really comfortable. Being a winter's night, electric blanket was on on arrival:) Thank you!!

Gas shower was a bit tricky to navigate, but I guess because we're not used to it. Water was lovely and warm though.

I felt like a queen in that gorgeous room!
The bed was super comfy and there was NO LOADSHEDDING due to them having solar.
The breakfast was perfect - my eggs and bacon was better made than at most restaurants.
Will definitely be returning in the future!

We liked the pool but they only let us use it as a favor. It is no longer part of the facilities contrary to the website
Uncomfortable bed, weak wifi, shower heat can't be adjusted, the breakfast was bland.

Super friendly host and willing to assist. Breakfast was good. Even got a breakfast parcel on the days I had had to leave early. You are not aware of loadshedding as they have a generator running the whole facility.

Gold Crest Guest House is clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.

The breakfast was great and tasted really good. However, due to health reasons I do not eat the muesli, something which I explained during the first day of breakfast but there was no alternative cereal provided. I was truly disappointed about that. The location is convenient and quiet for my liking. I will definitely visit the place again.
There was no electric blanket nor a heater yet it was cold, just after experiencing some snow in the mountains. Also, the bathroom to our room did not have a window that opens which I find important having used the toilet.
