Everything was very good! Nice and spacious apartment with everything you need. Super cozy private terrace with both sofa group and dining table, which was well sheltered. Fantastic olivegarden and a vegetable and fruitgarden where you could taste the organic harvest. The pool was nice, clean and big. Plenty of space and sunbeds. 2-3 km to a nice beach. The host was extremely helpful and pleasant. Thank you very much for a successful stay!

we had a perfect stay with super hosts

we had an amazing time. we chose Casale di gio for our first family holiday with our baby. we wanted somewhere to just relax and that was exactly what we got. it was quiet, and had all we needed within the house; the ceiling fans and aircon were a life saver with the baby. The swimming pool was every bit as inviting as the pictures show. Giusi and Gioacchino are perfect hosts, genuinely so nice and welcoming. we had lovely organic fruit from their garden and tasted their delicious olive oil. we absolutely recommend this property

Everything about our visit in Giusi's Home was perfect. The host and her family are the most friendly and kind people we met in Sicily! They are great hosts, always ready to give you tips or help you with anything you need. The week we stayed in their place was a bless and if I would be back on the island I would for sure stay in this place again. By the way, next to the house there is a huuuuuge garden full of fresh fruits and veggies - organic, and the host are more than welcome the share it with you :) Awesome! Grazie e Ciao Giusi! It was perfect, so don't look for negatives over here :)

The property was amazing, enviromental and pet friendly, which wasn't something we requested but that was very nice to find. But what really made the difference were Giusi and Gioacchino, the hosts. They were incredibly nice and helpful with everything. They gave us fresh fruits and vegetables from their garden everyday, advises and directions on secret spots and things to see and where to park in order to reach the places, the sunscreen we had forgotten and, in general, everything we needed. Thanks to them we found an amazing boat tour of the Riserva and never had to worry about not finding somewhere to eat. They made us feel like we were family, so much that we are sure we will go back to visit them in the future. Absolutely recommended!

Giusi and Gio are unique : they really take care of you (they will give you lot of local advices) The vacancy mansion is magic : very clean and very well equiped (washing machine, air conditioning, 3 roof fans, completely blackout shutters). It is located in the middle of an olive grove and a vegetable garden from which we had the chance to taste tomatoes, peppers, small pears and succulent watermelon (100% organic) The swimming pool is incredible (see photos). Giusi and Gio are also wine producers (several hectares) and they produce a local white wine "Zibibbo" that you will have to taste :)

Giusa and Giocchino are warm genuine hosts, very very helpful. The apartment was spacious with comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen was perfectly adequate for our needs. Outside there is a large covered terrace. The farm is organic and you are welcome to use whatever fruit and veg which are in season and they all taste fantastic. It was wonderful to pick a fresh peach from its tree or collect some basil for an evening meal. Even just looking at the lemon and olive trees at the edge of your terrace is lovely. The pool is great, large and lightly sea salted as opposed to chlorinated which is super. It's a good location to get to to all the highlights of Sicily's Northwest and there are several very nice beaches, closer than we had imagined.

We really cannot fault Casale di Giò in any way. The nearby town of Portinico is not very appealing, we did eat there one evening however and regularly supermarket shopped there, and the people, as we found wherever we had been on the island, were friendly and helpful. If Casa di Gio is your first stop from the airport, you may be surprised at the amount of indiscriminate littering by the roadside, it is in fact a regrettable reality all over the island which we could not reconcile, considering the scores of beautiful villages and magnificent scenery - what we are saying is, do not allow it to make an immediate negative impression on what is a superb island, one just hopes that it is something the municipal authorities will address sooner that later.
