One heater was off on the first night, so it was a bit cold in one of the bedrooms - however our host fixed it straight up after I messaged him. Great response time!

Excellent location and very spacious

Obviously a very central location. The flat itself was nice and spacious and comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Very clean.

Windows are badly-fitting single-pane sashes facing onto the Royal Mile - despite being third floor we were woken up throughout every night by drunks shouting/screaming/fighting literally until daylight... this was Dec, Sun to Weds so not even a weekend, and not exactly summer peak season either! Also businesses were tipping glass bottles into bins throughout the night, then at 5am the lorries started delivering with reverse alarms etc... you were lucky to get 1 or 2 hours consecutive sleep. The only place I can think of that was noisier was downtown NY but at least there it's continual noise with traffic too, not what is effectively a residential street with drunks shouting and screaming. Oh and when the wind was in a certain direction something was continually knocking and banging on the roof above the bedrooms...! I found the bed far too hard, my wife thought it was OK. Bath was very slippery, should really be cleaned better (?) or have non-slip pads in it for safety. Guy who met us with keys was reasonably friendly but too interested in rushing away as quickly as possible, he literally rushed us round and ran out the door...!
