We stayed here for three nights. Everything was a described and the condo had everything we needed. It was very clean and in the perfect location for the Bacon and Bourbon festival! Small grocery store within the village and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants. Check in was easy just remember you stop at a separate place for you cards and instructions:)

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented Unit 8384 at Buffalo Lodge for 4 days. The power went out at 8:45pm on the 4th night. I called the maintenace number and was told that someone would chech the problem. A worker came to the unit and said there was an electrical problem in the basment that would not be fixed until morning. I called Summit County Mountain Retreats to request a move to a unit with power, but was told that was not possible. I then requested a partial refund and was told he would check with managment in the morning and contact me. After waiting 3 days, I called and was offered $20 for the lost of power. We has no lights, no stove, the food in the fridge started to warm, we showered in the dark and could not prepare breakfast in the morning. And they feel that $20 is adequate compensation! They don't care about fairness, they only want your money! We will never book with Summit County Mountain Retreats again.

Charming condo in a beautiful ski town. It would have been helpful if the rental office provided better instruction to the actual building and mentioned that the parking garage elevator was out of order. The unit itself was comfortable.

Great little place in the heart of river run. The kind of place you can tell the owners considered what all one would desire to use the space for (i.e. kitchen implements etc.). The owners' consideration aside, the property management company could improve. 1st. While I'll admit it's possible I overlooked it in the litany of contracts and check in informational files (that are so large you could spend your stay reading them), it would have been nice if someone had mentioned the construction going on this summer as it was a bit of a challenge to arrive in the middle of the night and hit a dead end after dead end trying to approach buffalo lodge. 2nd. There was the very obvious (i.e. the individual/s cleaning the toilet btwn stays didn't feel it worth the time to mention/address) danger of a toilet seat that is missing one of its two retaining bolts, which, as it wasn't readily apparent upon ones' 1st use of the facilities, resulted in a near tumble/injury; and 3rd. A maintenance technician randomly attempted to address an apparent issue with the blinds while we were there (an occupied status, on a Saturday, which he informed us, he was not at all aware of) which was in tune with the general lack of comprehensiveness I'd allocate to reviewing Summit County Mountain Retreats as a property management company.

This way the perfect summer getaway ! We had a very relaxing time in the mountains . Thanks for everything

The bed in the bedroom could use an upgrade, but otherwise all of the amenities were in very good condition. The pullout couch is what you'd expect.

Due to common heating, the unit became hot and extremely dry at night leading to a lack of good sleep. Another problem we had was that the property has only one elevator functioning, and we had to wait for long times to find space in the elevator especially during the rush hours.

First, SCMR’s (listing agent/VRBO ‘host’) housekeeping fees are ridiculous; when we got here (we weren’t an early checkin), there was still a towel from the last guest behind the bathroom door (gross). The couch cushions were all backwards and upside down, you could write in the layer of dust under the coffee table and on the blinds, there’s a beer can on the balcony, a floss pick in the bedroom trash can, and as per the last time, the fitted sheet and mattress pad don’t fit the bed. Very frustrating when you consider how much they charge for ‘housekeeping’. As for the condo/building itself, there’s always parking, and it’s centrally located, so it does the job. HOWEVER, we were here in early December and at that time one of the two elevators didn’t work. It’s the end of February and it’s still down. On our third day here BOTH elevators were down. The convenient location of this condo is a waste if after a long day you have to slog up 4 flights. If I were the owners, I’d not be happy given the cost of HOA fees to have an elevator down for months on end (the building management even has a laminated sign up about the elevator, so it doesn’t appear they’re confident it’ll be fixed anytime soon). The stopper in the bathroom sink seems to be broken as it doesn’t raise enough to drain the water behind a trickle, so even just a quick hand wash creates a large, slow draining pool. Also, bring a headlamp or turn on your phone flashlight when you use the ski lockers, the lighting is awful in there. And while you’re preparing for the ski lockers, brace yourself for the smell. The carpet is constantly wet, with no air flow, so it smells like a sweaty, musty, locker room. It just isn’t on par with others we’ve used. Easy access. The only complaint I have is check in is at 4:30, originally was supposed to be 4, it was changed to 5 until I questioned it and check out is at 10. Very expensive for 18 hours. I’d think it would be cleaned faster/earlier based on the cost of the cleaning fee.

Pros: You can’t beat this location. A short walk to the gondola and steps from multiple shops and restaurants. The building itself had great amenities as well. Being about to park in an attached garage was so nice. The unit was very clean and perfect for the two of us. I would say it’s best suited for two people, three max. The kitchen was updated and fully stocked with everything and anything. There were plenty of board games and a humidifier available as well. Cons: The bed is the WORST. Neither of us had a good nights sleep our entire trip bc of how terrible the mattress is. Also, be aware of the door to the balcony. We went on the balcony one evening and closed the door behind us and somehow got locked out… in the cold. When we called we were told it would take 30-45 mins for someone to get to us to let us back in. So my advice would be to not close the sliding door all the way.

The apartment has everything that you need to cook and store your things. Hot tub is really good and the building has ski storage, parking garage, and is well located.
