We loved the house and especially the location.
My only complaint was that due to ongoing window repairs some of the windows would not stay wide open and we had some very hot weather. I guess that will be fixed in due course.

We have stayed quite a few times at this bach over the last 10 years. It is in a marvellous location. It has a beautiful atmosphere and since we were last there (precovid) it has a new kitchen and bathroom. Highly recommend this for families who like to bike and swim.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 5 Mile Bay
The view from the house and access to the lake is great and the house is really well set up with a great kitchen and it had everything we needed
We had great communication from the property managers which we appreciated when we had a problem

Lovely kiwi bach in a great spot
Fantastic family holiday right on the lakefront. Great bunk room for the kids. So nice to watch the sun set over the mountains after a relaxing day. Hope to be back again soon.

Great spot for a family catch up
We loved our stay at Waitahanui. The bunk room was perfect for the kids and there was a lot of room for all the adults. We found the house very clean and cosy, with everything we needed. The lake front setting was gorgeous. Already planning our next trip back.

We love staying here! This was our second time and certainly not the last! Heaps of character as well as that is has all the comfordes and right by the lake.

Stunning location .
Stunning location ... so close to Taupo and so quiet and right at the lake! Love it! House fantastic - comfy beds, lots of separate spaces to hang out in, lots of neat outdoor spaces, great functional kitchen ... just an awesome place to spend time in :-)

This property was perfect for our needs, very comfortable beds and well equipped. The location is amazing, the kids enjoyed swimming & riding their bikes. Out the front of the property was especially great for cricket!

The location was perfect, right on the lake.
The location was perfect, right on the lake. Plenty of room. More than enough crockery especially with the use of the dishwasher. Everything there that you needed for a relaxing holiday. From our point of view it would have been good to have been made pet friendly. Also if there were some kayaks etc made available. It also brought back lovely memories as my parent s rented it for many years 30 years ago as a holiday place once a year.

Had a great time, loved having the bike path and the beach right outside the door!! Did get caught out by the bedrooms being so seperate though, as we had children too young to sleep in the bunk room. Would be fantastic for older kids though.
