The outdoor pool/spa is top-notch with great temperature options and spectacular views. Our deluxe twin room, while a bit dated, was comfortable and had a huge hotspring tub connecting to the bathroom and the balcony. The balcony view of the river valley was lovely. We also liked how we could have our dog stay in the basement pet hotel. The staff were very friendly for the most part, and check-in/check-out were very quick and uncomplicated. The location is super quiet, offering a perfect setting to clear your mind.

There aren't many food options either in the hotel or in the nearby town of Luye. You really have to drive the 30 minutes to Taitung city to get a proper meal. The breakfast buffet, while good enough, does not have any western options. The price of this hotel was too high for what it is. We've stayed at fancy 5-star hotels for the same price or cheaper in Taiwan. The staff gave us strange information about the pool hours; they repeatedly said it was closed for cleaning when it was clearly open with people using it. We ignored their information and just used the pool. But this was strange that on both days they would discourage us from using it, since the pool is by far the hotel's greatest asset. Lastly, the pet hotel could have had personal customer access. To see your pet for walks/feeding you had to first find a staff to take you down to the basement through the various locked staff doors, which was a bit tiresome.

Many play areas for kids. Great pools.

The view from the bathtub is great. The bed and the breakfast are good.

It’s a little noisy because the room is near the pool and at night and in the morning kids are so excited playing in the pool.
