I would highly recommend this property! The location is perfect near Palm beach, near convenient stores, restaurants, bars etc. Enjoyed the big kitchen, outside grill and very spacious back yard area and common areas. The owners were very communicative and very helpful. Five stars!

The home was laid out great, clean, well stocked and had a beautiful pool. HOWEVER, the neighbor’s dogs were relentlessly barking. It would begin early in the morning and go one and on all day. We had several days and nights of trying to relax around the pool but barking absolutely ruined any peaceful atmosphere. We took a peak over the concrete wall, seeing emaciated dogs tied up, living in absolute filthy pens. It was sickening to see such abuse. Police were notified but we saw no changes. Hopefully the owners of this rental can find a resolution to the problem that ruins peace and tranquility of their rental.

Best vacation ever! Home had everything we could possibly need. Clean and serene. Extremely comfortable beds. It seemed like everywhere we wanted to go was within 10 minute drive. We will be back again!

We had a wonderful time! We spent plenty of time in the pool. Love the kitchen, made breakfast every morning, took our lunch to the beach and we also made dinner a couple of nights. Easy access to the beach, and other locations. We enjoyed staying there and will be back sometime. fyi…some of the beach chairs need to be replaced

This property had everything you could need. Separate bedrooms with their own bathroom and each had access to the pool area. The property management team and owners were very responsive and made sure we were welcomed and knew how to operate everything and how to get in touch with them at anytime we needed them. Although this property did not have a front access, we got use to it within a day or two. Would recommended this house to anyone wanting the comforts of home.

Loved my stay at this property. One of my best ever! The house was well equipped with everything you need and the property manager (Julie) was very attentive and accommodating and she made the experience so much better. The way the house is designed was thought out well. Much attention to detail; props to the owners!! Thank you 😊 🙏. Would definitely come back and stay again.

A wonderful experience. We were greeted right on time, shown around and settled right in. Everything is close by, great restaurants, convenient shopping. The private pool was great after a day of roaming around the island. 5+ stars all around. Aruba is awesome and this gem of a home base was icing on the cake. We highly recommend.

Our stayed was wonderful. The house had everything we needed and more. The location was excellent, we never walked to the beach because it was just way too hot but you could definitively walk not only to the beach but to the night life area in town. Beds were very comfortable and the house had plenty of room with a nice large kitchen/dinning room area and plenty of closet space.

House was perfectly suited for 3 couples in a prime location in walking distance to Palm Beach area and hundreds of places for eating and entertainment. House was well stocked with all the essentials, was clean and pool was perfect as well. There were some roosters in the neighborhood, but who wants to sleep in when you're in paradise! Look forward to coming back and staying here again.

Great vacation with family

This property was an amazing choice for our first trip to the island. It is in a wonderful location and is central to so much of what the island has to offer. The property was clean, comfortable and well appointed.

This was our 4th stay at the property.. Julie the property manager is always so helpful with any of our needs.. and the location for us is perfect.. close enough to walk to the beach or downtown.. we love the local restaurant right on the corner The Old Canucu House.. The accommodations are perfect for us with 3bedrooms with on suites .. kitchen is great plus the outdoor grill and laundry.. We enjoy relaxing by the pool in the evenings with cocktails.. The owners Helen and David are wonderful to work with.. outstanding hosts.. Already looking forward to our trip next year.. This home location was perfect especially after a busy day of shopping it was nice to not have to drive far and come back to a space away from people.. the owners were nice and even stocked the house for us when we first arrived.

This property served our needs very well. It had a private pool, external enternce to each ensiute bedroom, covered patio and was easy walking distance to Palm Beach. The property manager Julie was tremendously helpful.

This was are 5th time starting in Aruba. This was the best rental we had. Great location. Less then 5 minute walk to Palm Beach and short drive to other beaches. Short drive to grocery stores. Property manager Julie was the best. When we checked out i left my wallet at the house. Julie went back and checked and then brought it to me at the airport. THANK YOU JULIE. Great communication with the owners. I would recommend this place. Only downside was neighbors down barked all the time. Julie said they are working on getting that problem taken care of. We will look to stay here again next year.

While I can't say all was smooth, we still give this an overall excellent rating. The pre-arrival communication was excellent. The check in was flawless and Julie was awesome. She explained things well and the property was as advertised. We were three couples consisting of brothers, sisters, and in-laws. It was great having three separate bedrooms with their own baths. The pool was clean and refreshing to congregate around when not on an adventure or at the beach! The kitchen is well appointed with anything you need to make your own meals and enjoy the company of family and friends. Short 10-15 minute walk to Palm Beach and the excitement of the North End dining and entertainment. The little things that popped up that could have led to a lower review were the following. We got locked out when the tumbler in the gate lock failed. We called Julie and she called a locksmith out to fix. We were out for about 1.5 hrs. We also experienced few days without the TV's in the individual bedrooms working. The TV in the main living area worked, but with 6 people there were times in the evening when we all did not want to watch the same thing. Again, we called Julie. She responded quickly. She called out a repair person and found out it was the cable providers issue and they came out the next day. All told we were without service for three days. Not a big deal, but still something to note. The third issue we had was the presence of mice in the property. We called Julie upon seeing the mouse on one of the beds, the night of our arrival which was a Saturday. She immediately brought out traps and stated that she would call pest control on Monday. We told her we would try trapping the mice for the first couple of days. We successfully trapped two mice. Pest control came out and took preventative measures outside the property. We felt that even though we had some reasons to offer up a slightly less than 5 star review, the prompt attention paid by the on-site property manager was the decision to still give them an excellent review. We do believe that this could a premier property if a little more attention was paid to some preventative maintenance. We would stay at this property again.

Helen and David’s Villa Monplaisir was clean and very well equipped in a great location. I’m a slow walker and it took me 14 minutes from the door to the sand. There are tons of great restaurants steps away (Wacky Wahoo, Piqa, Cunucu House, Linda’s Dutch pancakes). And we especially loved the food at the Local Store. We used the gift certificates from the owners on the first night and went back for more another night. The chicken wings are incredible! The accommodations were great, the pool was great, the outdoor living area was great, the laundry facilities were great. The one thing that was an annoyance were the barking dogs right behind the house. We understand this is beyond the control of the owners, and it impacted us maybe once a day for 10-20 minutes at a time, (at very random times of day and night) but even with this, the house was a great value and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

We had a nice stay. The property manager addressed small issues immediately. Walk to night life and short drive to best beaches.

We were warmly greeted by Julie that gave us all condo info and made herself available if needed. Beautifully furnished kitchen had many extra amenities. The outdoor area around the pool included a very large lounging area, much of it under the roof for shade if desired, with a mural behind pool that gave the feeling of being in the islands. 3 roomy bedrooms with their own showers was so helpful. We felt safe and cared for but had the opportunity to experience local fireworks and the neighborhood animals. We would definitely stay at this destination again when visiting Aruba.

Had a wonderful stay with our family and would happily return next time we go to Aruba. We found that the place was exactly as we expected from the photos. The kids (5 and 8) loved the pool and everyone appreciated having a comfortable home base instead of a hotel room. The kitchen was fully equipped (note that there is a toaster oven and IR oven, but no full sized oven), and there were several good places to eat in close walking distance. The walk to the beach is about 15 minutes — easy enough for adults, but might be a bit of a hassle with beach stuff and kids in tow. We ended up driving to more easy going beaches than Palm Beach most of the time.

We came to Aruba to celebrate a 50th birthday. What a great decision! The Villa did not disappoint. Pictures accurately reflect what you get. Having our own pool was great after a long day. Helen (the owner) always responded promptly to any questions I had. I can't say enough about our experience. We would definitely come back to the Villa.

This was a wonderful choice for our family of 5. The property was spotless and the communication with the owner Helen and property manager Julie was great. The airline caused us a lot of grief with delays, and both Helen and Julie had a lot of flexibility in accommodating us which honestly saved our trip! The pool was great for our kids, there were plenty of towels, beach chairs, etc. The layout does involve walking through one bedroom to access another (the listing has a floor plan) but it was no issue for us. With adults in all rooms you could choose to access rooms from the outdoor living space instead to remove the need to walk through the other room. Palm Beach is walkable and you can access at any point where there is a pier. It was a 15+ minute walk for us with smaller kids but would be 10 for adults. Very safe route, Google maps made it look like you cross a major roadway but there was plenty of pedestrian crossing areas. Lots of nearby restaurants and shops. We sampled the Local Store, Old Cunucu, Linda's Dutch Pancakes from the close by options and all were great. The kitchen was very well equipped for the basic cooking and reheating that we do on vacation. Fridge has an ice maker and the blender was great to have for afternoon drinks by the pool. Everything about this location made our vacation so enjoyable and easy! Would absolutely recommend!

What a great location! The correspondence with the check in and the stay could not have been any better. This place was very well stocked with everything you might need, pots, pans, utensils, grill, pool floats, and about anything you could imagine. Very close to many places to eat and not a bad walk to the high rise area The only downfalls were minimal. There is one bedroom that can only access the kitchen from through another bedroom or a door to the pool area, not a big problem. The villa was very clean but could use some minor maintenance. Upgrading the bed linens and the minor repairs would put this place over the top. Thank you David and Julie for a wonderful stay.

This was a great place to stay! Everything was just as descibed and having a private pool to swim in after a long day at the beach is such a luxury. The owners are great, they left us some gift certificates to a nice restaurant down the street called The Local Place. The burgers there are delicious and the staff is so friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for a great stay! We enjoyed every minute in Aruba visiting the surrounding beaches, the nearby lighthouse, the shoping mall and restaurant strip, snorkeling and exploring sea turtles and beautiful fishes. People were very nice and welcoming! The hosts provided us with gift cards to eat at the Local store (thank you!!) which was excellent and we wished we used those gift cards sooner. The house was clean and safe. Other than the occasional iguana or lizard visitors we did not have any intruders. I would recommend the house and wouldn't mind staying there again. Thank you!

Everything was wonderful as always.. loved the tea box for breakfast.. everything was clean on arrival.. and Julie is a great property manager..a couple recommendations would be beach towels and new bath mats for the shower area.. and cushions for the pool loungers would be awesome..we just enjoy every day we stay at your place..we look forward to booking again.. thank you … Danki..Girls trip 2022..
