Location was great for me. Lovely big room. Receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful and really made my stay.

As per the description the property is ‘atmospheric and creaky’ and the we cistern in my room wasn’t firmly fixed to the wall!

Comfy, cosy rustic room. The fire in the bar was fabulous and the food was lovely. The staff worked so hard to deliver a perfect service.

Wish we could stay longer and use the outside area which looked lovely

Lovely cute hotel. The staff were excellent. Ricky the barman was outstanding. Excellent service .. he even made us a cocktail that wasn’t on the list … a Villa cocktail for us Aston Villa supporters. Our meal in the Orangery was very good and again the service was excellent.

The only downside was not being able to go into the Orangery for breakfast. We had cereal and croissants in a basket in our room but it would be much nicer to go into the restaurant for a proper breakfast.

Sent me an email saying live music Friday and Saturday nights. But when we booked in nothing was planned. Staff just said sorry. Was looking forward to the night dancing away as it was my wife birthday. There was nothing on local within the area. So just another boring night. Was no point going away really

The continental breakfast was poor for the price of the room,no fresh warm pastries meats or cheese,which was a shame as the food in the restaurant was lovely,overcharged for chips,there was a big leak in the bathroom so couldn’t use sink or shower,and silicone perished joining bath to tiles,coffee ring marks not cleaned on draws stains on sofa,no one was about in the morning to inform of leak, I have sent a few messages and have received no apology for the bathroom being unusable of thanks for informing them,which is a shame as staff when there were really nice

What a beautiful place, loved every minute. The staff were very friendly, the food was amazing and the rooms were lovely. There was a continental breakfast waiting in your room too which was an added bonus.

The location and presentation of the house

We had been warned that there may be noise from their outside dining, however this was not the problem. The house itself has no soundproofing so you can hear everything from the room above!!.. we had very limited sleep because of this. Also the continental breakfast was extremely poor for the price paid for the room.

Lovely old quirky little property with a lot character.

Rooms had everything you need but beds were a bit hard and room was pretty noisy- you could hear everything in hallway- outside and upstairs. Not ideal if you want a lay in. Shower wasn’t great- also had carpet in bathroom? When we booked they stay, it said breakfast was included, but later we found out only as a complimentary continental breakfast in the room. Which was fine - but as we’re both vegans I emailed the hotel and asked if they could offer a vegan option in the room (as in a dairy free milk- very easy to replace!) but our answer back was that was something they couldn’t do?

The location was lovely, the staff were pleasant

The room was dirty had cob webs in the shower? The walls in the en-suite were shabby , the water was warm not hot. The room was cold. As no the radiator was cold. The mattres was very uncomfortable as were the pillows. The rooms above when people walked there was a great deal of squeeking which was annoying ! My husband had to boil the kettle yo get hot water to shave, the continental breakfast wasn’t great one apple and one tangerine no jam for croissants

Location to the event we were attending. Quiet , secluded location

Cobwebs around the bathroom and sleeping area. Marble top drink making table not clean. Maybe be due to COVID but breakfast in the room not up to much. Choice of 3 cereals, an apple, an orange, 2 yoghurts and 2 plain croissants with no butter/jam and a little milk.
