Loch Rannoch Highland Club
The Club lies on the traditional main route north to the west coast of Scotland, known famously as the Road to the Isles. However, major road construction in the 19th century has bypassed it leaving the area unspoiled and unchanged.

The property was perfect.

There was a fantastic balcony that overlooked the Loch. The Hotel next door provided our meals as this is a very isolated location.
We had to carry suitcases up 3 flights of very steep steps. The room did not have any coffee or tea, which was provided in other self catering facilities. The room had too much furniture and was a bit cramped. We also had a list of instructions on how the room should be left including putting dishes in the dishwasher. There was no dishwasher! No cloths for wiping surfaces, nothing really to wipe or clean. If you stay here, take EVERYTHING you might need and then be prepared to carry it up some very steep steps.

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet établissement et nous avons choisi de le quitter très tôt le matin (avant 6h) car une course cycliste avait lieu ce jour là et les routes fermaient entre 6h et 11h (après le check out). Le personnel ne nous a pas pris au dépourvu en nous prévenant plus d'une semaine avant notre arrivée.
L'apaprtement était bien équipé pour 4, mais un peu vieillissant.
Le cadre est magnifique et nous avons eu un très beau coucher de soleil sur le Loch Rannock
Literie un peu molle, et nous préférons les matelas plus fermes.

It was really beautiful - the view from the room was stunning. I did not expect that! Also the sauna was very nice. Pretty sure we will return in the future!

The view
Beds were very uncomfortable we slept very uncomfortably for the 2 nights going home with a sore back due to both beds. parked in our private parking space then left a notice on our car for parking else where when your vans were parked in our space that was meant to be private. Shower pressure was very weak. The room was very clammy and stuffy, Had to leave both patio doors open and windows just to try clear it and breathe a bit better.

Perfect for a January break - surrounding scenery is stunning, especially when clear and frosty. Went on a couple of lovely local dog walks (MacGregor's cave - sheep around so keep dogs on lead, and Loch Rannoch woodland walk). Our lodge (two bedrooms with a pull-down bed in the living area) was very spacious for two couples and a dog and the enclosed balcony/conservatory area was useable even in freezing outdoor temperatures.
Quite a few steps up to some of the lodges (but worth it for the views).

Seemed a disconnect between the Loch Rannoch staff and hotel staff, understandably they are separate organization but some info could be shared amongst both to give guests a better understanding on how the facilities cross over each other

we loved the view, the property had everything we needed, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and also checked to see if we settled in okay. there was also a sauna which was so nice after a long cold day outside. our stay was amazing we can’t fault anything, we will definitely book again.
we liked everything about the property we can’t fault anything, the beds we’re comfortable we had soap and enough towels and toilet roll for our stay everything was listed clearly in a welcome book.

apartment was comfortable and warm with lovely view of the loch and mountains
10.00am check out was not good. Since you were required to strip beds and bag used linen as well as remove all rubbish from apartment it meant leaving by 10.00am was quite a rush and did not allow for a relaxed breakfast. A later check out eg 11.00 am would have made the stay much more enjoyable.

big minus for swimming pool , only guests from hotel or lodges/apartments owners can use it we were stay for two nights in apartment so I think we should be treat same as guests from hotel . I even as for pay for swimming pool but staff person said it’s not possible, mi child was very disappointed 😔
