A super hotel right in the middle of the city. Very comfortable with a good breakfast. I would stay here again.
The room I had (111) had a slight damp smell in the bathroom, and I couldn't get the A/c to work. Not a problem in may, but might be an issue later in the year.

goede ligging, dicht bij centrum
- veel te warm op de kamer, en de airco kon je niet op koelen zetten enkel verwarmen. De venster was stuk waardoor je ze enkel op kip kon zetten. er plakte letterlijk een stikker op: venster stuk, niet openen.
- het ontbijt was heel hectisch en slecht georganiseerd. het personeel kon niet volgen. Er wordt op voorhand gevraagd welke shift je wilt ontbijten om zogezegd de drukte te beperken maar het wordt gewoon niet toegepast, ze kijken niet na of je nu in die shift komt of niet. bijgevolg dat niemand zich er aan houdt en iedereen gelijk komt. Het was ook niet uitgebreid; geen pistolees, eitjes waren op, geen kommetjes,…
- tv had de hele tijd storingen, waardoor het beeld onduidelijk werd

Original room had a really bad smell (smoking). The room they gave me after that had really old furniture. Definitely not the quality you'd expect for the money they charge.

The location is excellent. Comfortable bed and excellent rest thanks to the silence even though it is in a very central location. Excellent shower. No bathrobe, no slippers. No bathroom accessories.
The services are not four-star. In a real four-star hotel there is always staff available on arrival to take you to your room and take care of your luggage, especially if the room is in another building. There is no telephone, some small (harmless) insects in the room and some kind of smell in the room during the stay (from the drains or something like that) I didn't complain but in general the staff in a four-star hotel should make sure of the quality of the services without the customer having to complain. Dark room. Minimal breakfast without a la carte options. I do not understand where the concept of a boutique hotel applies. It is just a hotel not in a chain.

New building has very nice rooms. Very comfortable and spacious. Great location right in the center of town.

really nice, large room, cleanliness of the room and bathroom. staff went out of their way to be helpful. good location to the old downtown and easy walk to many of the important site.
although there is a sitting area, there needs to be a reading lamp.

Room was neat and tidy and the location is great. All the major attractions are within walking distance.

central location
noisiest hotel we ever slept in. we specifically asked for a quiet room but were put below the attic rooms which creak like an old horror film when anybody moves about (which they did often, late & early!). After complaining staff suggested we book out 11am & then book back in after 3pm. Not really possible as we had excursions booked for days 2+3. Night porter could not get answer from idiots above. No reply from polite email complaint to management. A return visit will not be happening.

Breakfast was delicious. The location of the hotel is very close to the centre. Hotel staff were very helpful. The room and bed were comfortable. Towels and sheets were clean. The room was cleaned every day. If I was to travel to Ghent again, I would definitely choose this hotel.

The hotel was very centrally located and it was very easy to walk to all the main tourist areas of Ghent. The rate was very favourable compared to other similar hotels in Ghent. The breakfast was very good - lots of choice - continental plus bacon and eggs - and excellent bread and pastries. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious with an excellent shower.
The beds were comfortable but very soft - if you like a firm mattress this would be an issue. Also there was not enough space in the breakfast room for all guests to eat at once - so you had to choose a time slot. This worked well on two of the three mornings we were there but on the Saturday there were too many people [perhaps some were not adhering to their time slot?] and it was difficult to find a table. Also the staff were struggling to replenish the breakfast items.

Superb location near all the attractions in Ghent. I would highly recommend this hotel, my room (which I upgraded to a suite) was outstanding and, as a bonus, the breakfast was great.

Amazing location. Good staff
Better cleaning and better beds are needed. The dust gave us an allergic skin reaction. The carpet on the floor should be replaced. Not sure if it was the dust or mattress or pillows but we had a poor night's sleep

Our room was on the front and it was very noisy in the early hours.

- it was very hot in the room, we asked to turn the heater off but apparently all the rooms are connected and they couldn’t turn it off/down. Even opening the window was not enough
