Staff were fantastic, evening meal in the bar was delicious and catered for vegans so made me very happy. Breakfast was served cold, so they very kindly deducted the cost, although that was a slight downside, I would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend.

Large well equipped room. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom had been refurbished. There was a good selection of teas and coffe in the room. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good with a varied menu and served until 11am. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We didn't think the breakfast drinks were good. The coffee was much too strong and the tea wasn't hot.

Bed very firm. Pillows firm. Noise from corridor sounded like a key pad entrance? Lots of lights but not bright enough for makeup etc… toilet angled uncomfortably.

Only 1. bath towel for 2 people? Asked for another one but didn’t get it!

Very comfortable room. Spacious and clean. Large bathroom with good supply of towels. The breakfasts were very good . Staff in all areas were very pleasant and helpful.

Breakfast was fine. Service was good. Location was excellent for my onward travel.

Room 19 in no way can be called quiet. Traffic noise was unbearable but considering the age of the building not much could be done about that. Very small bath and poor shower let the bathroom down.

Location in centre of town and free parking available. The building is full of character.

Loved the room decor and its old fixtures tied in with the new. Rooms are lovely size and very clean.

Friday afternoon had to go and track down some one in the bar to check in. No one answered the phone and office was empty.

was goid but felt something missing..ambience,? bathroom a little outdated very small basin, no biscuits with the tea tray, very hard pillows. we treated ourselves to this hotel bit dearer than we normally pay so expected touch more. had good time though

love the characters and older features of this hotel.

The building was beautiful, the staff were very welcome and helpful. The room was lovely and perfect for our stay. The pub was great with good quality food.

Location was good , arrived early in the morning for a wedding, staff got the room ready with in half an hour of us arriving, excellent turn around by all , thankyou
