Loved the charming, hostel vibe. Rooms are large and beds very comfortable. Onsite parking is good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The gave great advice on what to do in Monteverde and helped make reservations. Hotel is basic, but comfortable and great for families. Several rooms accommodate five people. No A/C, but not needed as it gets very cool at night. The location is close to city center and walkable to several restaurants and shops, but it’s also not on a main road so stays fairly quiet. We felt very safe here. Breakfast is included, and the only meal the hotel serves. Fruit, eggs, toast/pancakes/rice and beans are the options, along with coffee and juice. Rooms have kitchenettes with a microwave and fridge.

We stayed in room #3, which had three beds. It was spacious, clean, and cozy, with a nice mural (pictured on website) that added to the ambiance. The refrigerator was larger than expected, and the microwave came in handy. The breakfast was tasty and very filling, consisting of a fresh fruit assortment and a variety of made-to-order breakfast plates, including mini-pancakes, or traditional gallo pinto. The service was great! Everyone was very friendly and helpful! This property was much cheaper than many others in the area so we would definitely stay again!!!

We experienced no issues during our 1 night stay.

Stayed two nights (3 adults) and found it to be reasonably priced. The room was clean and spacious. The property looked well maintained. There's free parking on site. The property is quiet at night. The hotel desk staff were friendly and helpful. They showed us the activities available and prices. Once we selected the activities, they went ahead and booked the activities with third party vendors. They were accommodating with requests made. The free wifi had excellent connectivity (except during brief moments when it was raining heavily). The breakfast was delicious. They had for breakfast American style (eggs and pancakes) and the traditional Costa Rican (pinto, eggs, and plantains) along with fresh fruit.

I didn't see any fans or AC in the room. However, it was not an issue for our party since the weather was cool during our stay and we kept the windows open. The beds had plenty of warm blankets for cold nights.

Staff extremely nice and friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The rooms were clean and parking space was good. It is in a quiet area of town which is nice. The outdor area was lovely

washroom a bit dated. room was very hot and no airconditioning available. if you open door for airflow bugs get in so pick your poison.

Simple accommodation but all what you need for a short stay

Warm and welcoming, friendly staff. Cozy villa close to town. Hot showers and clean rooms. The lady working the front spoke great English and helped us book our activities. Answered all of our questions. Breakfast was hot and delicious.

there were a lot of bugs in our room, but with the door opening out to the rainforest, that’s to be expected!
