Clean spacious rooms looking over a lovely swimming pool. The kids loved playing in the pool, and the hotel was really well situated for exploring Montezuma (especially if you don’t have a car with you). The staff were very helpful and friendly, we felt very well looked after. It was good value for money.

Lage des Hotels ist gut, allerdings Steilhanglage, d.h. Koffer- bzw.Taschenschleppen über Treppen oder steile Auffahrten stehen am Anfang und am Ende auf dem Programm, aber bei Bedarf wird einem auch geholfen.
Alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten/Restaurants sind in unmittelnare Nähe. Wir hatten ein Terrassenzimmer mit Ausblick auf den kleinen Ort Montezuma. Der Charakter des Hotels und unserer Zimmer entsprach dem des Ortes, etwas Hippiehaft, kultig
und sehr entspannt. Außenanlage des Hotels sehr schön gestaltet mit 2 Pools.
Der Parkplatz für die Autos liegt etwas abseits vom Hotel; Parkflächen teilweise auf sehr steilen Flächen.

This is the best hotel (under £500 a night) in Montezuma. You have everything you need, including a beautiful pool and amazing staff. I will be back!

- Preis-Leistung ist nicht gut, eher sehr schlecht
- wir hatten Kakerlaken, einen Skorpion und sehr viele Ameisen im Zimmer
- sauber fanden wir es auch nicht

We stayed in the bungalow which was really fun. The bungalow is the only unit with a little kitchen, which was very convenient. It also had a little porch with a hammock where we could hang out and watch the monkeys in the trees. The unit was clean and comfortable. There is no AC in the bungalow because of it's size, but with the windows open and the fans on, it was fine. The pool was very clean and refreshing after a day in the sun. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly and always available. We had a little medical incident while staying there and the front desk staff went above and beyond to help us communicate with a nearby clinic. This is our second time staying and we will definitely return to El Jardin!

Right next to the beach, the staff were very helpful with great recommendations, the pool was lovely and you could see monkeys from it. AC was so nice to have, and the room was clean. Great stay all around.

There’s a really nice pool & jacuzzi that’s perfect for cooling off on a hot day. Perfectly located in Montezuma town just a short walk to the beach and the shops. We were even provided with cutlery and dishes for cutting up fruit. Special mention to our host Gabriel for being so accommodating during our stay.
Just that you need to be open to friendly visits from geckos, igunas and the occasional mosquito.

The sewer smell that emanated from the shower when the water is turned on.
I was in a cabina without a/c. I was told about wonderful ocean breezes which didn't happen and we were eaten alive by bugs.

We had a really good time at Hotel El Jardin. Great location in the centre of Montezuma but still cozy and private. Walking distance to all nice restaurants ane the beach. The pool is very nice. Also, staff was great, especially Gabriel from the reception.
A few minor things were not great, but I guess that's normal in Costa Rica - for example, our toilet flush didn't really work and we had to manually repair it many times (took 10 seconds). Also, it's a bit weird that lights are completely shut off in the late evening.

Great location with awesome staff! Beautiful outdoor pools/gardens. Central location where we could walk to where we wanted. Nice big room that was clean. Enjoyed the patio area too.

They made a lot of effort in prepping our room and making it look so lovely and romantic. (Even included chocolates).
Apart from that the room itself was lovely, with a very comfy bed, large windows with good views, hammocks outside and a nice bathroom as well.
The pool was relaxing and the overall setting and look of the hotel was gorgeous.
The location is perfect and near everything. During the day the area is calm and relaxing and at night it’s very vibrant.
The staff were so kind and helpful (particularly in helping finding transport for us a day before, to San Jose.)

Rooms were not very soundproof, heard the neighbours too easily. Outside street noises cars, music, motorcycles, trucks were disruptive to sleep. A/C positioned over our heads while sleeping so we slept with heads at the foot of the bed.

We loved how central yet private the Hotel was. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The Pool area was really nice and clean and you were at the beach within minutes.
The hotel doesn’t have restaurant, but they offer coffee, bananas and biscuits in the morning. An actual breakfast option would be nice, but if you want to make your own breakfast, you can get a bowl and cutlery from the reception, so it’s not a problem :)

I felt like the queen, sitting on the porch from our cottage in the middle of the complex, on the hill! Our cottage was beautiful and airy to open up in all directions. It’s almost outside living, when all the blinds and doors are open. A monkey even found his way in and stole cookies from the kitchen counter while we were on the porch.
