The boat itself and ride was beautiful. The food was phenomenal and the whole experience was very relaxing. The bedrooms themselves have AC which was such a relief!
Unfortunately, in the morning, the motor had some issues. We would've liked to be aware of issues, but we were not told. We ended up missing the morning sail from 8-9am due to the difficulties. While the technical problems were not alarming or a big deal, we would have liked to be communicated with.

The crew was very kind and helpful!
We loved the matresses just behind the captain, where we relaxed a lot.
The food was good and just being on the boat on the water was something really relaxing.
We just stayed for one night and still we think it was sufficient, because:
Unfortunately we did not stop like some other guests that mentioned it here by a sea shop to buy fish. Also when we were asked for the meal preferences we mentioned that we would like to have non veg and kerala rice which was not fulfilled. The food was good (but I personally do not like the indian way of cooking the vegetable so this is why i prefered non veg) but we had almost the same food for dinner that we ate for lunch. We really would have liked to try some fish or different varieties of typical kerala food. My bedlinen had some stains that propably did not go away even through washing and we also saw 2 cockroaches in the room. Also in the evening there was a mechanic problem with the boat that the crew had to take care of, it took quite some time so that we felt a little left alone. I think the price is a little to expensive for what we have experienced...

We had a great time. The staff were the best - they were extremely pleasant and kind and cooked amazing food. great hospitality which made our stay a one to remember.

- twin beds for a couple who reserved the full boat !!
- the welcome at the pier before embarking.
- very low stock of beers ( 1 bottle ) for 2 meals and 2 persons !
- the night was supposed to be spent at the pier in between off all other boat close by the roads . we did everything possible to convince the crew to find a nice and quiet place remote

Absolutely amazing, relaxing stay. Rajesh looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed. The cruise was beautiful and so peaceful. Food was great too. We wish we could have stayed longer!

moored for night back at place where we started, close to road/flyover… would have been nice to have moored further out in the backwaters..

The boat looked newly renovated, it was clean and the staff was friendly, helpful and very punctual. The food was delicious.
Mosquito nets over the beds would have been really helpful.

The view the location.
The cruise is beautiful and recommended, I gave a low score because I got food poisoning from the food served to me in the boathouse, probably the fish, and I had diarrhea all night, a nightmare, the air conditioner remote stopped working and I couldn't adjust the temperature in the room, there was no hot water in the shower, I recommend a cruise of a few hours It's enough, you don't have to sleep. I think I deserve a refund for the nightmare I went through.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was extraordinary, all freshly cooked on the boat. We bought some extra fish from a seafood Market inside the backwater area which was also delicious!
The boat would need a deep cleaning in both, the common area as well as the rooms. Also some renovations are needed especially in the bathroom. No hot water in the shower. Although we know a houseboat is not a hotel, 200€ per night set some expectations which were not fulfilled.

The experience was amazing and the staff were fantastic. It was great that marvel park up away from other boats. it was next to a small road because they needed to hook up to power for the night (e.g to make the AC work), however, we didn’t hear anything during the night.

amazing 2 night cruise, beautiful landscape, delish food, lovely traditional houseboat with great facilities. particular highlights were the ‘celebration’ style keralan lunch and the kind staff telling us about all the bird species around us
when we arrived there was no introductions, no sharing of the plan for our trip or intros to the staff: we were left a little confused and awkward for the start of the trip, but once we settled in it was lovely. we were offered to be dropped off for a massage (they said it would cost 500/1000 Rs), however the place was very basic and we got a very simple head/shoulder massage for Rs1200 which was quite expensive, the rooms were not atmospheric and the lack of english from the massuse meant there were a couple of uncomfortable moments when trying to communicate undressing etc.

The staff on the cruise were absolutely wonderful. The food was simple and tasty, featuring local Kerala specialties. Our route was quiet, and we docked across a beautiful rice paddy on the first night. The facilities are basic, but clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this relaxing experience!

We had an amazing night with Marvel Cruise.
- Crew was friendly and attentive
- Boat was clean - bed was comfortable, good bathroom with flushing power (esp for a boat!)
- Chef cooked delicious food (it was some of our best meals in India) that was fresh and not overly oily/buttery, even got served refreshments like lemonade as a welcome drink and battered fried Kerala bananas which I still dream about
- Boat stopped so we could get fresh seafood at a market and stopped at an Ayurveda massage center
- Great trip to relax and the boat was so smooth

The experience of navigating the Backwaters is incredible. We had the boat to ourselves and were accompanied by the captain, a mechanic and a cook. Everyone was nice to us but the one who cared the most about us was the cook.
We stopped for the night next to a small road where motorbikes and cars passed by. We were hoping that the overnight stopping point would be somewhat more private and away from the noise. The food that they offered us was very abundant but it was not very good. They should adapt the food to all types of customers, not just Indians. In addition to the boat ride, they could offer an activity such as kayaking or visiting a town or village in the Backwaters.

This was a very romantic and pleasant experience. We had the whole boat to ourselves. The boat crew were both very expert and very courteous, always very friendly with the best manners. We felt very safe and well attended to. We are vegetarians and the cook surprised us with a big selection of preparations of non-spicy traditional Kerala food for each meal. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner. All 3 meals were sumptuous and cooked with the best fresh ingredients. The boat was very comfortable and inviting, AC in the bedroom and a lounging area on the deck. We docked for the night in a very peaceful and quiet area. The ride was very scenic. The whole experience is worth more than the value of the money.
The bedroom could have been aired for a while before the guest enters.

The route taken through the backwaters was not scenic and private. Lot of big boats around.
The place we stayed for the night was not nice at all: noisy with an ugly view…pity!

Location very good... Breakfast ok...all staff Members were very polite... mr. Leuju needs special mention...however cooking should be done in mustard oil for North Indian tourist...
Cooking shd be preferred in mustard oil nd shd be discussed with the tourist first prior cooking... menu shd be put in a paper format....

We had a great experience at Marvel Cruise. The houseboat was sparkly clean, very helpful and humble staff, amazing food and extremely punctual. Overall loved the stay!
It would be better to have a parking space near the boarding point. We had to keep the car on the road, which wasn't very safe.
