This home was perfect for our yearly gathering because of the following: its rustic charm, peaceful ambiance, size (so many areas for reflective thinking, reading, playing games, reading, and just general talking), and all of the amenities (blankets for those chilly mornings, outside furniture and bbq, games, puzzles, too many really to name). Our time went by way too quickly!

You can’t beat the river house for a special get away with family. Lots of things to do for the whole gathering. I also appreciate how well and organize the kitchen is, everything we could need. We celebrated our son’s 18th birthday and were able to bake cakes, barbecue, play games, and take in the amazing outdoors. We love this house and hope to be able to stay again in the future.

Gorgeous views, well-equipped kitchen and plenty of space (and a hot tub!) for grandparents, children and grandchildren to enjoy a get away. Skiing at Stevens Pass kept the younger ones busy and grandparents enjoyed the views and walks. Master bedroom on second floor has truly knock-out views.

The property and house were perfect. Beautiful setting on the river. Everything was very clean and had everything we needed. The bedrooms are huge and beds were very comfortable. We will definitely return to this amazing retreat! We highly recommend this property!

We rented the house with three other couples to go Nordic skiing in the area during one of the coldest weekends of the year. Skiing was great. The place was well appointed and very cozy. We loved the hot tub overlooking the river.

Such a beautiful home and property that had everything we could want and more. The house was fully stocked and there were games and movies to enjoy during the stay. The view was unmatched! Really lovely and a perfect place for family or friends to gather!

One of my favorite homes we’ve ever stayed in! Truly an incredible space with all the amenities that you could want. Comfortable beds, large couches, tons of games and ping pong, hot tub was clean and close to the home. Beautiful view of the river and great communication from the hosts. Easy access to Leavenworth and plenty of space for the whole family. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to any friends and family.

Three generations together to celebrate a 66th birthday and to also visit the Christmas lighting in Leavenworth! A wonderful cabin, host, and great time had by all!!

5 of us had a lovely time spending several nights here. Great setup with separate bedrooms for all and plenty of room to spread out or get together, depending on what you wanted to do.

This property is beautiful! The large house is roomy and comfy. The place is well stocked including games and hot tub. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with family or friends. Plenty of beautiful areas to hike, boat and fish. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating.

Lovely location on a bend in the river, perfect for relaxing with your feet in the water while watching to birds and clouds go by. Best outfitted kitchen of any house we have rented! There is a place for everyone in the house, and the game room is a major bonus. We loved our time here!

This is a wonderful house and property. We stayed with our kids and grandkids and it was great. Right on the river. We would definitely go back.

Our moms group have stayed here many times! We absolutely love it! It’s our favorite place! Bring your own tubes and just enjoy the river! We made an error in our booking and the owners we very gracious in helping us! Highly recommend!

I can only say wonderful things about this vacation home. It’s in the river, with rooms for friends and family, a gourmet kitchen and a wonderful hot tub. Such a wonderful and relaxing spot!

We had a very quiet and relaxing stay at this VRBO. We loved the access to the river to swim. We appreciated that it was pet friendly as well. We hope to return again in the future. Only comment would be that there are a lot of mosquitos, but it is the woods so that is expected....Make sure to pack lots of spray!

We love this place! We’ve stayed here many times and have never had a bad time. It was very hot in the house but the owners supply plenty of fans. If you can get a good cross breeze going through the house, it helps a lot!

We stayed at River’s Edge for our 30th anniversary. The house was big enough for our whole family; 7 adults and our grandson. The game room and hot tub were especially fun! We enjoyed a relaxing time together making memories. We would definitely book here again! The only down side were the misquotes. We couldn’t be outside in the evening.

Wonderful property right on the river. Fairly good beach access, we had no trouble with multiple trails. Very clean property with great amenities. We especially enjoyed the games, outside chairs, firewood, and a very well stocked kitchen. All ages enjoyed their stay. We definitely would love to rent again. Thank you Smit and Tracy!

Had a wonderful time. A few things we noticed, there are mice droppings in downstairs bedroom and upstairs bathroom drawers. The couch in the living room seems to be infested with bugs and spiders. We couldn't sit on it the bugs would come out and crawl all over us. Other than that it was perfect

We had a great time but the conditions getting into and out of the house were very dangerous. Not sure how to manage that but it was really a hazard.

My friends and I had a wonderful winter weekend and the house. We were blown away by the size of the place- each couple/individual had plenty of space and privacy while still being able to come together for dinner/puzzles/hang outs. All in all an excellent stay.

Photos don't do this cabin justice. I had a wonderful winter holiday here with my family. Beautiful cozy place with stunning views! There are plenty of fun winter activities around (we tried sledding, snowmobiles and cross country) and Leavenworth is under 30 minutes away so you can drive to town if you want to. Just make sure you take an all wheel drive vehicle to your holiday. There is one part of the road down to the cabin that is slightly steep and one of our cars couldn't get back up after some snowfall. Would definitely stay here again.

This place checks every single box! Spacious while still feeling cozy. Gorgeous views. Fully stocked with every possible amenity. Comfortable beds. Games and ping-ping tournaments in the heated Sun room. This was our first Christmas away and we didn’t miss a thing. Such charming decorations. The hosts were also very responsive and weather aware. They had supplies on hand in the event of a power outage. We love it here and can’t wait to come back for every season—all the way from Oklahoma and definitely worth the trip!

Our three generation family has stayed at the Rivers Edge now 2 years in a row. This property is so special and perfectly suited for creating warm memories. The hosts are so helpful and responsive. We had about 18 inches of snow within 24 hours. A great winter visit to Leavenworth at a great cabin.

My family and I just returned and stayed four nights here! We were all so impressed the moment we walked in the door! Check in was the easiest process I’ve ever experienced for a VRBO. The location is quiet and secluded, but not too far away out of town, (about 30 mins to downtown Leavenworth) and not too far away from other cabins/houses around… the perfect amount of space between neighbors I’d say! The owners checked in during our trip, which was SO nice they actually cared enough to do so. The cabin was immaculately clean and so incredibly well decorated! It has that nice “cozy/homey” feel while being open and spacious for a larger family! The hot tub was hot and BIG, and the beds were SO soft and warm and comfortable… wow!! A fully stocked kitchen with everything you need, and lots of games and a bonus room for entertainment! It was so much fun!!! This was one of my favorite cabins I’ve ever stayed in!! Will DEFINITELY be returning!!! Anyone reading this—BOOK THIS CABIN… you’ll LOVE it!! :-)

The River’s Edge Cabin was one of the best rentals my group has stayed in. We stayed for Thanksgiving weekend and had everything plus much more to cook and enjoy a full spread holiday meal. All the sleeping spaces were comfortable and roomy. The entire cabin is spacious, we were a party of 8 plus dog and never felt crowded or packed in. Communication with the hosts was easy, clear and timely. We were even asked if we’d be ok with Christmas decor prior to our stay. The cabin is tastefully decorated, thoughtfully arranged and in a beautiful setting. It was a gorgeous 25 minute drive into Leavenworth. We would recommend this cabin over and over again.

Perfect place to all be together with room to spread out.

Our family of 6 spent a week at the house. It was a large house with lots of room for all of us. It was so peaceful to sit out in the comfortable chairs and listen to the Wenatchee River. It was a wonderful week!

We stayed at this beautiful home to squeeze in a little family time before school started as we have one heading into middle school and one leaving for college. The location is beautiful and serene. The cabin was just perfect with cozy beds and a well stocked game room including a ping pong table and board games that our boys enjoyed. We brought our kayak and enjoyed some river time in front of the house as we weren't sure where the drop in and get out/pick up spots were for floating longer stretches of the river. The water in front of the house was very shallow at the end of August. I did end up with a pretty nasty bug bite standing on the riverbank (still not sure what it was) so bring lots of bug spray! There is no AC, but we made do just fine with the ample fans provided around the house and open windows at night. The owner was kind enough to call and let us know about recent bear sightings, so we took bear spray with us to the very clean hot tub. We would love to return sometime!

The Rivers Edge home had everything we needed for our vacation, and we enjoyed our stay. Far enough away for a peaceful and relaxing time on the river, but close to the Plain Store, restaurants, and Leavenworth. There is plenty of room for everyone, and the home is stocked with essentials; just bring your food and clothing.. Thank you, Smit & Trae! We plan to visit again!
