The host is always friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is superb!

This our second time staying at the property and unfortunately we found it incredibly underwhelming this time. It was only a year ago we stayed and we had a ground floor room that appeared to have been newly renovated and it was exceptionally clean and tidy, this time we were on the first floor in a ‘superior King’ room and there wasn’t much superior about it. The decor was neglected and there was also quite a strong smell of urine and we deciphered that it was in fact the carpet that smelled. It actually kept me awake. The property is old and full of character but unfortunately in some customer areas it really could do with a good tidying up with respect to decor and flooring.

Restful. Value for money. Air con in bedroom great option as it was a hot evening. Good breakfast.

Breakfast good, room , no dinner but were advised where to go and that was close and good.

We only had breakfast, the quantity was satisfactory.We got room 4 on the ground floor, not with the view shown in the picture, it suited the purpose, the positive thing about it was that you could go outside to smoke!It doesn't have any guarded parking! If there is a space in front of the house, you can park there, but there is no parking lot, because someone stops in front of the entrance and you can't go inside, but 1-2 cars would fit.You can only park on the street or on the road.

This is a great value overnight stay in a popular town. I didnt realise that there was no restaurant at time of booking but The landlord recommened a lovely pub called the The Swan Inn and the food was excellent. Breakfast was really lovely and the landlord is a very nice man. I would stay again of I am in the area.
