The location is perfect, within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of downtown Calafate. After a long day of excursions it was nice to be able to walk to dinner nearby. The included breakfast exceeded expectations so that was pleasant.

The hotel is older. While the lobby is well maintained there were several maintenance issues in the room. We stayed in one of the "apartments" which simply meant that the unit had a horrible layout. The bathroom was downstairs with a small table and the beds were upstairs. This made for some scarey trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night. While most people won't pay attention to this, I was quite concerned about the lack of fire exists. Our room was at the end of the hall and the only exit was the main stairwell down to the lobby.

Rated as a 3 start but would give it a 4 star, very good Hotel, located at walking distance near the main streetm Nice Lobby where I saw the world cup games. Large and comforatable room clean and quiet Breakfast was good

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. quaint and cozy. very nice room. good breakfast. Front desk staff efficient yet helpful. Easy to walk to restaurants and shops.

The location was perfect because you could easily walk to the city center with many great restaurants to choose from. The staff was so friendly, even arranging a taxi to the bus station for us before we even were actually checked in as guests. The room was clean and comfortable. The lobby is cozy and warm.

Check-in process was nightmare with the rudest check-in experience I have ever experienced. I have checked into the hotel in the morning and left the baggages with them. Since I will be paying with cash, they have decided to include tax in total bill. I did not have enough cash at the time, so I have decided to pay when I checked into the hotel in the evening. There was different staff in the evening, so I decided to push my luck on excluding tax, but it became a nightmare. The reception took out a calculator and stated that she needs to add tax to the bill, resulting in a bill that includes room + tax + tax and insisted I pay that amount. After 10 minutes of increasingly heated discussion and showing booking confirmation, she decided to exclude tax without an apology. At the whole time, I conversed in English and she spoke in Spanish, forcing my spouse to translate her words. By the way, my spouse did not translate my English since she understood English perfectly. This whole experience left a bad taste, requesting cancellation of whole reservation without cancellation fee. We ended up compromising to staying just one night and cancellation of rest of nights. At the whole time, she never apologized and only spoke in Spanish to me wholetime when she spoke and understood English with high profiency. I do not want this experience to happen to anyone else.

I had a cold shower for days and it took them the last day to finally change rooms They kept telling me it was fixed for 3 days. I was unhappy with the facilities.
