The location and quietness. An amazing home. The Book Tekapo woman I dealt with was amazing and went above and beyond. Perfect space for family of 6. Very close to the Tekapo township which has everything you could need. Also perfect to attend the Dark Sky Project in the early hours of the morning. Thank you

Only has air conditioning unit in one bedroom. The kitchen floor was sticky in places. A few little things didn't work but were remedied.

Amazing views and very cosy

Bottom floor fire place was confusing-but this is likely a user issue ☺️

Stunning view and extremely warm in the heart of winter with both fire and heatpump options. Well equipped kitchen and well stocked wood supplies. Comfortable beds and a good range of pillow types to choose from throughout the house. Heat pump was on when we arrived and fire felt like it had been going earlier in the day, was great to arrive to a toasty warm space at the end of the day!

Sheets on the bed in master bedroom were the wrong size, so bed had to be remade so your feet were sticking out the end touching the duvet. Sheets were cotton/poly so 'noisy'. The rest of the linen was beautiful though and these are really personal preference issues. Lighter for fire wasn't working - we had matches thankfully and left a note so hopefully replaced and now not an issue. Had to put reed diffusers outside, smelt lovely but overpowering - again personal preference and easily fixed.

Great location, looks down the lake to the far mountain ranges. Walkable distance to lake and town. Nice house, lots of space, sleeps probably 12 comfortably. Fire and plenty of heating, nice to arrive with it left on, thanks.

Very luck not to like, only suggestion is to buy some proper coffee mugs!

Perfect view over the lake and mountains. Very well appointed with comfortable, high-quality furniture. Nice downstairs play/bunk area is you have kids.

The view was amazing. House a good size for family especially with ensuite for each room. When I contacted the property person they responded quickly and came around.

The noisy rodent in the bedroom wall and the fan in the bathroom seemed to be faulty and went on and off as it pleased so went all night and unable to stop it.

Stunning view of the lake, and a lovely well set-out and light-filled house with everything a family (or three) would need. Ample indoor and outdoor space, washer and drier, coffee machine. Lots of doors to shut off certain spaces were useful with a baby.

No major issues but a way to secure the baby in the high chair would’ve been good! Also for those with young kids, note that the gate to the wood fired heater gets quite hot.
