Great stay -- had everything we needed for our week in RMNP. Well supplied, plenty of spices and staple food ingredients, long kitchen table had space for 10+ people! Cabin was turnkey: potbelly stove with plenty of firewood, small fans in the bedrooms for white noise, sleds for the hill behind the house, open kitchen with large pots and pans for large group cooking...and even a boot dryer. Loved it, we'll be back.

The house is extremely well equipped, it has everything you need and more. The house is on the older side but it is large, functional, has plenty of bedding and makes for a very comfortable stay. It was better than the pictures! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Great place

I stayed in October 2023 for 5 nights. The home is beautifully appointed throughout. The viewing room lets in a ton of light and has great views of the surrounding mountains and Grand Lake. Mornings feature an unparalleled view of the rising sun. The bedrooms are large and filled with sleeping options. Bath/showers are good, solid water pressure and ample hot water. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook and clean. Coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator all in ideal working order. The main living room has a lovely wood-burning stove that heats the space well. Tv has access to Netflix and YouTube … possibly other services, I didn’t check. Many thanks for the opportunity to experience this lovely home 😊

Great view of Shadow Lake. The cabin was spacious and the beds were comfy.

Very clean home with lovely views of the lake and mountains. Plenty of room to spread out. Good location, just a few minutes from town. Host was very accommodating.

Fishing, restaurants and shopping nearby. Easy access to RMNP. If you’re looking for a fishing charter, highly recommend Kirk’s Fly Shop.

Enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is perfect for visiting RMNP and Grand Lake. The lake views were great, and we took advantage of the deck. The yard has a lot of awesome boulders that the kid (and myself!) enjoyed playing on. Lots of fun board games and books kept us busy when it rained.

Cabin was very clean and well maintained! Our family of 5 had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was stocked with about every utensil, pot or pan you would ever need! Nice quiet and private location! The deck was a great place to sit at night and watch the stars when it wasn’t raining! Great place to stay!

It was a great place to stay. The views of Shadow Mountain Lake were beautiful. Lots of hummingbirds.

This property is cozy, clean and well maintained. Beautiful lake with mountains in the backdrop can be enjoyed from the living room or the deck.

Great place went with my wife and two adult children and their significant other. Went hiking , rafting and rented a pontoon boat. West side of the park has a more outdoor feel than Estes Park. The deck has an awesome view of Grand Lake. The only downside is eating out in downtown Grand Lake is very expensive.Rafting down the Colorado river was awesome we did level 2 and 3 rapids. Would rent this property again. Brad Carey

Gorgeous view of Shadow Mountain Lake. We watched the pink clouds of sunset, the moon rise and even a rainbow with a view of the lake, Shadow Mountain and snow capped peaks as a backdrop. Great location for visiting Rocky Mt. NP and a short drive to Grand Lake shopping and dining. Lots of family space and great Kitchen- living area. The owner was very responsive and addressed all of our questions kindly and quickly.

Steve was very welcoming and responsive every time we had a question. The place is beautiful and very well mantained, we would stay there if we come back to town.

The location was very nice with incredible views, owner was very quick to communicate and check-in process went very smoothly. Highly recommend

This cabin has it all. It’s spacious, yet still has a cozy, home style feel. Very comfortable furniture and beds. The view of Shadow Lake is amazing. The kitchen has good quality cooking utensils and the dining room has.a nice large table and plenty of room. We loved the deck with the wonderful view of the lake and the wood stove was so nice on our chilly mornings. We can’t wait to come back!

This was a perfect fall getaway. Quiet location with amazing stars and views of the lake.

We had a wonderful time at Steve's cabin. The house was comfortable and the view was awesome! One of our favorite things to do was to sit on the roomy deck and watch the squirrels and chipmunks enjoy the nuts and seeds we provided for them. We also had a large elk visit us one evening! We have stayed in bigger, fancier homes in Grand lake, but this house suited our needs better than most. What did it for us was the two separate seating areas, so that one group could watch a game in the comfortable family room while another enjoyed conversation in the adjoining viewing room over looking beautiful Shadow Mountain Lake. Tons of seating! The large dining table had chairs for 10, but could probably fit even more. The kitchen had everything you need to cook meals for a large group. They could use a couple extra large-sized skillets, but other than that we had everything we needed. The bedrooms were a little tight (lacking nightstands), but comfortable. However, we weren't there to sleep. We were there to enjoy time together in a beautiful setting, and this place fit the bill! I also appreciated the shelf in the family room filled with books and movies for kids and adults alike. We will hopefully be returning again next fall for another stay!

This was a great home for our family vacation. Great communication with the owner, which made the stay all the more enjoyable. Quite neighborhood, with trees and native plants around the home. Fully stocked kitchen and nice extras around the home, such as flashlight, tissues, bug spray, fan, binoculars, etc. We loved the easy drive into Rocky Mountain national park and into grand lake. The beds were comfortable, the furniture was nice and also comfortable and we had a wonderful time relaxing at this home after our adventuring.

My husband and I stayed at this property with our son a daughter-in-law visiting friends in the area. This is a great place with wonderful views of Shadow mountain reservoir. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and the owner was very friendly and responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

It was too short but we just loves the location and the house was super spacious ! My boys played a lot of chess . We did see 2 moose and 1 mule deer right outside our window . Excellent stay and great host

The hot and cold water are problematic in the shower. The mixing valve probably needs to be replaced or checked. Also the hot water heater needs to be turned down before someone gets burned. The beverage fridge was a nice bonus and plenty of seating area. Bedrooms are pretty tight. We enjoyed the stay.
