Each up-stair bedrooms had a small A/C unit, which it did cool it down a little. I would recommend them switching to a mini spilt for the upstairs and downstairs. We are from Texas and we love our A/C's cold.Awaking up every day with the view from the master bedroom was amazing. The house was in a perfect location to run to the locator grocery store or taco stand. We ended up walking down to the Sheraton Beach and hanging out there each day. I would recommend this place.

This condo was phenomenal!! The views and property are incredible (late night stars, waves, sunsets, etc). The AC units were definitely needed as it does get warm during the day. You are able to make it to all parts of the island from the location and many nice beaches real close by. We have already started talking about when we are going back!!

As a footnote it should be advised that this location is a popular spot for locals and tourist to visit during an hour before to an hour after sunset. For the most part it is very respectful and not an issue. You may experience a few who like to attract attention and spin their car tires to attract attention. In a twelve night stay there was only one evening where police were called. They handled the situation. That was a night of graduation weekend so a much younger and not so respectful gathering. This is not a knock against management company, nor the units location. I believe this should be noted, because according to people I spoke to this has been going on for years. It maybe be annoying or a problem for some renters. Again we had a wonderful and very relaxing holiday.

Had my eye on this specific unit for several years now, actually toured it a few years ago (pre Covid) when it was on the market. I longed to have the double lanais and opening to the expanse of lawn. Not disappointed whatsoever! The owners have fantastic taste and all the details were well appointed. We loved the location, the grounds, and the decor. Everything was there for the beach- in outside closets; two lannae for sunset viewing. We didn’t mind that the locals come to that beach point for sunset - they recognize the beauty of the locale. Beds were super comfortable!! Kitchen was complete. We hope to return!

This is a great property for a group or family in a popular area of Kauai. It is large and comfortable with a well-appointed kitchen. There are only portable air conditioners in the two bedrooms, so it did get a little uncomfortable downstairs during the day if the sliding doors were closed, but once the trade winds kicked in, even the a/c upstairs was not needed. The only real downside is that the road in front of the condo gets a decent amount of traffic and is a popular running path in the morning and hangout spot for locals at sunset (including some cars trying to do donuts), so it wasn’t particularly private during those times. The evening crowd always left before it got too late, though.

The current owners did a great job in updating cabinets and furnishings. Poipu Kapili is a wonderful condo project and we think Unit 51 is best unit there. Great location, ocean and sunset views, expansive lawn area outside and two outside patios, and a short walk to the nearby excellent public beach at the Sheraton. The unit is well-stocked, including lots of beach equipment. And the guest relations staff is responsive and helpful.

Lovely condo in a beautiful setting. Fully equipped with everything you need for a fun vacation!

There was some confusion initially as we did not receive the check-in email instructions and it is not provided on the VRBO app, which is unfortunate. However, we had an earlier email and were able to reach the property manager and a very nice lady immediately walked us through everything and we were able to access with no problems. We are from Arizona, and our understanding of air conditioning seems to differ from Hawaii definitions. Each bedroom had a unit and fans and there was a portable unit downstairs. However, except for sliding glass doors, the windows had slats with no glass, so the house did not seal and the efficiency of the air conditioning units was inadequate, and they were very noisy. The sliding shutters for one of the sliding doors locked so you could leave the door open for ventilation when you left or overnight, however, the largest downstairs slider that overlooks the ocean had malfunctioning locks so you could not secure the shutters for ventilation. On days of lower humidity it was not a huge problem downstairs, but on higher humidity days, the downstairs was very uncomfortable and the upstairs was bearable, albeit loud due to the AC units. Both bedrooms are the upstairs, so if there are any mobility issues that is a challenge. I did not see a portable gate for safety of small kids, but there was a playpen. The location of the home is amazing. Gorgeous views of the ocean and spectacular sunsets. It is close to many nice places to go, and excellent snorkeling is abundant within a 10 minute drive and even walkable. The home was very nicely renovated and it has quality finishes and is very inviting. It has beautiful artwork throughout the home, many originating from the local Latitudes gallery. We enjoyed the beauty of the island, the frequent crows of the abundant roosters and a very sweet orange and white and tabby cat who makes his rounds. If we could have taken him home, we would have. Honestly, our only material complaint is lack of central air conditioning and that is not abundant on the island. It is a wonderful place to stay.

Clean, organized, friendly rental managers, incredible property, rental has everything needed for a great stay. Didn’t want to leave!

The property was beyond perfect! It has been beautifully updated and is located as close as possible to the community pool. We immediately opened all the doors and windows and let the trade winds cool the place down. The ocean view from the living room and master bedroom really started and ended the day right. The condo was equipped with anything you could possibly need, including beach chairs and toys for the kids! Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful, spacious, well-appointed and decorated home away from home has everything you need in order to make you feel as if you live in Kauai. Upon arrival, we found the place to be immaculate and tidy. Our hosts did a wonderful job of decorating with attention to every detail. Kitchen has everything you need - coffee maker, plenty of plates, cups/glasses and utensils, toaster, pots and pans and large fridge/freezer with filtered water and ice maker. Washer and dryer were helpful a few times, as was the iron and ironing board. The back patio overlooking the ocean was amazing morning, noon and night. The winds off the ocean at night were cooling and calming. Beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, snorkel gear (we had our own, but still) and a host of other items like tennis racquets and balls were available and in great shape. We were very sad to leave this place, but happy we got to enjoy it for 5 nights. Mahalo...until we meet (stay here) again!

Property is as advertised and in great location on Kauai. Communication was great before check-in up thru leaving, unit is in excellent shape, and the AC in bedrooms finishes off the day. Upon leaving and arriving at Kauai airport, realized I left couple valuable items in unit. Called Shellah and she immediately went to unit before cleaning crew, found items, packaged and shipped to my home. This was above and beyond what most would have done and we're very appreciative of her efforts and communications. This best unit we have stayed at in 4 trips to island and plan on going back.

Our experience at this property was excellent. The location is beautiful and well situated to enjoy all the island has to offer as well as a beautiful place to rest when not exploring. We would highly recommend and will most likely be back!!

The property is lovely and this particular condo lay our and decor were really wonderful. The only downside of our stay is that the evening sunset included a full street of teenagers drinking and playing their music loudly from their cars each evening/night - one night going until midnight. I was looking for quiet sunset and bedtime. This meant closing up all our doors and earplugs on at least 2 of the nights. Otherwise, good location and great condo/resort. Maybe this was just during summer break with the local kids - but would have been nice to know coming in.

People park and gather along the road right in front of the unit every day from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM. How obnoxious it is depends on the predominant music playing and the people. One evening one group of young women were screaming and howling. One evening, it wasn't bad. We tried to not be in the unit or on the lanai from 6:00-Sunset. The situation is more tolerable in the pool which is a good option if you get back from dinner early.
Oddly, when you walk down the road, few people/ cars gather in front of the other homes and condo units on this road. Maybe the management of those units call the police or something?
Aside from this issue, the unit is practically perfect. We loved our stay! We stayed for 11 nights and could have stayed longer! A week would have been way too short.
One other note - the guidebook mentioned that spare sheets were in the upstairs hall closet. That closet is locked and marked "private." I called the r

Beautiful sunsets, pool, walking distance to the beach, etc, etc. The only downfall was the faulty wifi. We contacted CBIP and asked if they could fix it - which they did. Unfortunately, it only lasted about 12 hours before it stopped working again. We did our best without wifi for the entire trip, minus 12 hours. Even with this issue, I would rate our stay a 99 out of 100. Kauai is all about Aloha, and this unit was a perfect fit.
