The options for alcoholic drinks in the restaurant were quite limited. A reasonable wine list is essential for international visitors.

Absolutely amazing place. A small drive away from the bustle of Udapur and you have a most wonderful view on the city and total calm. Hosts are superb; food and view from the rooftop beats any top place in Udaipur. I loved it!

Burj Baneria is very stylish, with beautiful decor and also very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are incredible views across the lake to the old city, and although a little out of town, we found this perfect as it is peaceful and quiet at night. We experienced the warmest hospitality from the wonderful hosts, and also delicious food. We loved it so much that we extended our stay for two nights as one wasn’t enough!

The hosts were very understandable, they didn’t force us to extend our stay, they taught us valuable lesson in researching our bookings and being kind.

The location, it’s in the old Udaipur city and travelling post sunset would be tedious, would recommend it for people who have cars or are in a bigger group, solo travellers/two people on a trip could think about it.

The homestay is exquisite and very well kept. The rooms have an amazing view of the lake and City Palace which is cherry on the cake. The staff and hosts are very courteous and helpful. The rooftop restaurant is amazing in the evening to kick back and relax. Overall it was a amazing experience !!!

Comes close to perfect with minor nitty gritty I would like to call out. As the homestay is quite far from the city, it should be highlighted while booking and you will need to make travel arrangements. Inside the property if there was recreation centre it would have been good. Overall nothing to complain.

The view, overlook the immediate surroundings, and the food was really good. Though the spread was limited, the taste was spot on. Didn't like : The hosts reply to the review - It shows how big a mistake it is to stay with the property. The linen has rust marks would request the host to recheck it before mentioning that it was because we dined in the room was extremely unwarranted. We were unwell but sorry for the misconception that you have - you didn't do anything out of your way to make us feel comfortable. Yes you allowed us to dine in the room and we were thankful for the same. But your reply on the linen shows the hospitality extended. We requested for medicines at 10am you delivered it at 7.30pm when you returned to the property - had you done things out of your way, we would have received medicines by noon considering the urgency. We didn't really wish to mention all this here - but your reply solicited my response. And its unnecessary to conclude that we were angry about not enjoying the vacation and venting out here. If you really wish to make a difference and are concerned about the reviews - kindly take it as genuine feedback instead of responding to the negative reviews the way you do!

1. Location: It is not in Udaipur City. It is on the other side of the lake and around 7kms from the main places. The photos on the website do not indicate the true nature of the location. The homestay is off the city limits for cabs and is a one off building in a sea of green cover. In case of emergencies, it might be a place you'll regret booking. 2. Commuting: Cabs do not come to this side of the area. While the map says it's 2kms - it calculates the distance of crossing the lake. But by road, it takes around 7kms and is in the interiors and in the middle of nowhere. It is scary to step out in the night as there are hardly any street lights and the surrounding area is a forest, so there is a threat of wild animals. While it takes 20 mins for cabs / ricks to get arranged - paying INR 500 only to commute to and fro the hotel does not make sense. 3. Checkin experience: When we checked in, they mentioned there is 60 percent occupancy however we were the only people staying there. While inside the property it is safe, would appreciate honesty. 4. Wifi : Extremely weak - the tv has an option to connect to wifi but the hotel denies saying that only local channels are to be viewed. If you want to browse any content online, you need to use your personal hotspot instead. The wifi does not even connect to the phone, and there is no resolution to the same. 5. Room: we got upgraded to a superior room but it didnt not enhance the entire experience of the room as the linens were stained and dirty(Hosts comments are not appreciated).On requesting a change of sheets, the staff denied and informed us that they change the linens only once in two days. There was no double bed - instead two single beds with ill fitting mattresses which kept moving to two different sides leaving a gap in between. 6.Insects: As the homestay is nestled in a thick bushy area, it is highly prone to insects being in the room.

Loved the staff - so humble, polite, the owner couple - if you reading this you people are awesome for real. All of them were are so warm and respectful. All needs were met. I even ordered something for my husband's birthday online and they were really nice not only to receive it for me but the manager Jaywardhan Singh, guided the delivery person for me and took all the load off my shoulder. Extremely nice people, for the first time I was so sad to leave a place and I miss staying there so much. The property was well maintained, extremely clean and had breathtaking view. Also, the food was so so delicious and they served literally EVERYTHING hot on a plate. So much peace and calm the place had at all times. For sure, the best 4 days of the year, nothing Compares. A huge thanks from me and my husband to the Burj Baneria team for hosting us. We will never forget the way we felt in your humble and warm presence.
