The location is amazing. Beautiful views of the lagoon. Quirky floor plan but it worked great for us. Views from every window. The house was vacation ready with shampoo, conditioner, spices, beach wear, towels, lots of extra blankets and linens. It felt like home away from home. Centrally located to all the best spots . A strong recommendation! My only feedback is maybe some darker curtains for those wanting to sleep in. but we loved waking up to the beautiful sun! Amd a fire pit in back would complete this beautiful vacay home. The Cleaning crew showed up a bit early and we felt a bit rushed but all in all Amazing pick for our vacation!

The freeway was not a problem you cannot hear it from inside of house. If people want to sleep in the downstairs bedroom , you can hear people walking if you want to sleep late in am. Forget about it. THE HOUSE WAS GREAT. Kitchen had every you need need and more. Alots of step to go to living area do not recommend for older people.

We stayed at the Carlsbad Hacienda for a family reunion with 8 adults. The property managers were friendly, helpful and responsive. The house is conveniently located close to the lagoon, beach and freeway, with freeway noise as disclosed. It has nice views of the lagoon and the indoor-outdoor living area on the upstairs main floor works well for a larger group. However, the layout was not as we had expected. The ground floor bedroom with the walk-in shower (what we thought would be good for my elderly parents), required them to go up and down stairs to the main living area. They could also hear everything going on above them when trying to sleep. Please also note that the house needs a larger coffee maker (it makes just 2-3 cups),there were no real wine glasses, very few water glasses, and no teapot. Otherwise all was good during our stay.
