We really appreciated the lodging and would definitely recommend it! The upper floor is for the guests with sleeping rooms, bathroom, living room with fireplace and a kitchen. The arrangement of the house is gorgeous (little library, fireplace, ...). Also the view and the nearness to the Fjord was perfect! The host Iris is a very kind woman who welcomed us very friendly and open-minded. We felt comfortable with her and her beautiful house.

The host is renting out the second floor of her lovely house. Beautiful views, nice and cozy rooms and overall a very pleasant stay. It gave us a sneak peek of what the interior of the cool Norwegian houses look like. 🙂 Iris is a great host.

We had an incredible vacation! Very quiet, very clean and a wonderful hostess! We will definitely come again! The view from the window is remembered to me forever!

The host was friendly and caring. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

There was a slight odour of cigarette smoke in the room. I believe whoever used to live in that room used to smoke alot inside since the smell gets into the furniture and never goes away. Other than that all was great.

Location, amazing view, host's sympathy, huge room

the view was amazing and our host Iris was pleasant to deal with. not all rooms have the best view though, our room only had partial view from the kitchenette area in the balcony. Communication with Iris was very easy.

Iris was polite and pleasant but although we arrived the very late previous night, we were rushed out at 10 am checking out time. Some more time allowance would have been nice. The bedroom was not heated, there was no heater and it was cold at night. The kitchenette area was on the balcony, with no sink/ running water, you're supposed to fill water in a plastic tub and wash dishes in that, like in a camping area. No closets in the room and we didn't see a washer. The kitchenette area on the second floor is not private, it is accessible and shared with other guests. The bathroom is shared as well.

Amazing view, probably one of the best views ive had for a stay on a vacation. Friendly host and comfortable bed.

What a beautiful stay we had at Iris Vedal! It was perfect. Beds were super comfortable, everything was clean and lovely! One million dollars view from our balcony! Would love to come back!

The location, the view, the cats and mainly the host was just great

The heating is placed in the other room, as well as the kitchen has a permanently opened windows

Le location is simply magical. One of the most beautiful place you would get to see in Norway, more than worth it. The room is very cosy and everything is clean. Also Iris is a very nice host.

The view from the bedroom and balcony is amazing ! The room is very confortable.

The room and the house is cozy and nice. The fireplace is romantic. Iris is very kind and helpful. If the weather is nice you can see Mardalsfossen from the bed, but the whole area is magical. The half-open kitchen-terrace is amazing for a morning coffee.

It's not easy to find the house, and the dirt road leading up to it is less suited for a smaller car.

amazing and quite place. All famost places around, like Andalsnes, road over hils, Isfjorde, Troll road, u can easy visit by car in 2-3 hours.

Spectacular views, friendly welcome, nice cake, free wifi

Due to a double booking, the advertised room was not free so I got the room downstairs instead. Unpleasant odour in the room (from smoking ?) There was a cat in the house (I'm an allergic).

Really nice 'staff'. Good bed.

Odeour of old cigarettes. The rooms was on the first floor and it's been heavily smoked at least on the ground floor.
