Great condo with great view! Owner Gayle answered every question via text promptly. If u want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Galveston seawall this is the place. Just know it’s a long way from most restaurants and stores. Other than that it’s perfect!!

First time further down the sea wall. Escape the crowds at the sea wall and enjoy both beach and bay access with 2 pools lazy river and incredible sunsets enjoyed while eating somores from the fire pit. Added benefit was kayak availability, bay fishing, rental bicycles available at beach club.

My husband and I are retired military and live in Atlanta. Our youngest son, wife and Twin three year old sons live near Houston. We were thrilled to spend time with them at the beach. The condo was so nice. The view of the bay was beautiful. The beach and Lazy pool were a hit for the twins. The whole experience was delightful.

Clean condo with surrounded by many outdoor activities for kids. We took our scooters for even faster travel between the pools and restaurants. Owner was super informative and helpful. This is a perfect spot for a family vacation.

Great location and unit away from busy Seawell/Strand area. Loved the pools and beach club. Unit was stocked with tons of great beach/pool gear and also had great view of the bay and local birds. Can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous weekend; lots of wonderful memories; “icing on the cake” was the beautiful condo and Pointe West facility! Oh! Beach was awesome! It wasn’t the white sandy beach or clear water of Florida but it was one of the highlights of the trip! Thanks to Gayle, the owner, for the opportunity to have this special celebration in a special environment!

We spent the weekend in Galveston for our daughter’s cheer competition. The rental was amazing and worth the drive to have a quiet location!

We enjoyed a long weekend at Buddy’s Bayside Villa and will definitely be back. The owner was wonderful to work and communicate with! The property was perfect for my mother, two 13-year olds, and my husband and me. We all had our own spaces and both indoor and outdoor living options were comfy and clean.

This condo is beautiful inside with awesome views of the bay and sunsets from the patio. We loved going to the Beach Club and being able to enter the private beach from the club. The lazy River pool was also great in the evenings and had an awesome place to BBQ. The owner, Gayle met us when we arrived to make sure everything was in working order and answer any questions. Can’t say enough about her hospitality😎

Enjoyed our stay. I had 4 teenagers and a dog with me and no complaints! The view from the balcony was lovely It was easy to get to the main club and the lazy river pool from location. I really enjoyed my morning walks with my dog as the walking paths and fishing ponds around the condo were amazing and well kept.

Beautiful condo and very clean. Communication with the property owner was great. We had a wonderful time!

We loved Gayle’s place- the pictures don’t do it justice! Great location as it’s equal distance from lazy river and beach club. All are walkable but would highly recommend a golf cart!

My only complaint was that the pool was so cold. Couldn’t use the pool as the water heater was broke. That was a bummer!

The property was great! We had a multi generational family vacation and everyone had a great time. There was plenty of everything and the resort was very family friendly. We rented a golf cart to go from the condo to the beach and to the two pools. There was plenty of easy parking and Gayle was very easy to talk to and gave us lots of useful information! She even had a smore kit set up for my kiddos! We would go back and would highly recommend to anyone else!

We had a great 5 night stay at this property with our family of 4. We slept very comfortably and enjoyed the fully furnished condo. Gayle was quick to respond to all my questions before we traveled to the condo and once we arrived. The condo is close to the fire pit where we made s’mores. Also close to a charcoal grill. The condo gives you access to lots of floats and noodles for the pool, a cooler, and some other games that would be fun to play with the family. Highly recommend this property if you are looking at a Bayview property!

We loved staying in this beautiful home on the bay. It was everything we needed for a getaway at the beach!

We found the bay side to be quite enjoyable. Kayaking and exploring the bay were the kids favorite. The beach was also easily accessible. Pointe West is a fantastic area.

This condo has a great layout, spacious balcony, and beautiful sunset views. However, the condo itself was not very clean. The dishes and silverware in the cabinets and drawers were not cleaned and had food remains so we had to wash everything before we used it. The ice and water dispenser has black mold build up. There were splashes of who knows what on doors, walls, light switches, and seat cushions. I had to Clorox wipe down all the light switches, door knobs, and faucets upon check in. The listing states "upscale furnishings" and "comfortable seating", but the furniture is very dated and uncomfortable. The coffee table in living room has been put back together with white caulk. The king bed in master bedroom is old, sunken, hard, and worn down springs. When I booked, I thought I was paid in full for our 6 night rental, but was contacted by the owner that I had to pay an additional 9% of total for the Galveston hospitality tax. She was very impatient about our payment including having HomeAway bill us for a higher amount and threatening to not give us access to the rental. Good news is she has since updated her listing regarding this additional fee for future renters. The listing also states "Check in and check out with no person-to-person contact" which was important to us as our reservation was during Covid-19. However, we had to wait for Gayle to meet us at the unit for her to let us in and give us a tour. Some may think this is a nice touch, but we felt like she was checking us out and we had to ask her to wear a mask which she only covered her mouth. We did enjoy Pointe West Resort which was a great vacation getaway. Beautiful and uncrowded beaches, easy bay access, nice pools, and decent restaurant.

My kids and I had an amazing time. I needed to relax and my kids needed a break as well. The resort is kid friendly. Everyone there is helpful and polite. Gayle went out of her way to make sure my children and I had a nice vacation. I definitely recommend staying here.

Gayle is a delightful host, very thoughtful. We had a stellar view of the bay and wildlife, including several pink flamingos. The resort is kept in pristine condition, and we would love to come back for another visit. Cynthia
