We normally stay a little further south in the state but wanted a slower pace this time around. This place did not disappoint. It was tucked away in a quiet neighborhood on a nice stretch of beach that had minimal traffic and not to many beach goer's. Very relaxing get away for out small family and we got to take our fur babies as well. Can't say enough good things about this location. We will definitely be back again.

We absolutely loved our stay in this charming beach cottage! It was just the right size for our family of 4, and we LOVED that it was right on the beach. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, and the beds were comfy. It was so convenient and close to the marina for us to do fun activities on the water. We would definitely stay here again! We stay at the beach in Oxnard a LOT, always in rental houses. This rental is probably the best one we've ever had, and that's really saying something. It is adorable and perfect for a family of four. I love the room with the twin beds, because our kids would much rather sleep in twin beds than share a bed. The beach access is amazing, you just walk from the deck right onto the beach, and it is at the very southern end of Hollywood Beach, which is very quiet. The house was spotlessly clean and it was very easy to communicate with the property manager via text. The security deposit was promptly returned to us, in full, within about 2 weeks.

With high temps of 65° During our July visit, this was the best escape from our 113° temps at home. The back porch leads to the beach where we spent hours watching boats and playing in the sand. The beach wasn’t busy at all. There are restaurants and museums nearby, with some in walking distance. This was a perfect getaway home.

We really enjoyed being right on the beach, house was perfect place to relax and get away from busy work days. Thank you!

We loved walking out of the back porch onto the beach! The view of nothing but beach, ocean, and the islands in the distance is lovely and we enjoyed our stay so much. The location is ideal with delicious seafood and conveniences nearby and it was safe and quiet. The updated kitchen was great for meal prep and we really appreciated the washer and dryer. We would definitely stay here again.

Simple beach cottage with two bedrooms, one bath, and the beach right off the back porch. The house was perfect for my family and we wish we never had to leave. Splash in the ocean, explore the dunes, watch the sunset, and then listen to the waves as you drift off to sleep. What else could you ask for?

My two adult daughters and husband stayed here during Thanksgiving break. The house was perfect for the 4 of us. Access to the beach is just a step away. We liked this location a lot as it seemed we had our own private beach. No crowds or rift raft, just a quiet location to relax and enjoy the sunsets and scenery. The kitchen was well appointed (just bring your own condiments if you are cooking and ice as the ice maker wasn't hooked up) and the beds were very comfortable. Grocery stores, restaurants and the marina were very close. All and all, it was a great and relaxing vacation.

Property was spotless. The kitchen is extremely well appointed - it has everything you need to include sharp knives. Beds were comfortable. Not a lot of big storage - but all pieces of furniture had alternate storage uses so we were fine for the long weekend. Location was amazing. Quite a long walk to the water from the house - a protected swimming bay can be found out past the grassy sand dunes which is perfect for kids. We had a great stay and would stay here again. Only complaint was no electrical outlet in the bathroom.

The property was delightful. Clean, remodeled. We were searching for a place that was remote because of covid concerns. We did not want a boardwalk or sidewalk in front of our house with 1,000s of people on it. This home was perfect in that regard. No complaints with the house at all. The hesitancy is with the weather. In talking to locals, it is always windy in Oxnard. While we were here in late July, the wind let up only briefly in the morning, then was pretty relentless from about 11 a.m. until we went to bed. By the time we crossed the 750 or so feet to the ocean, kids were chilled to the bone. The waves were a bit rough for our kiddos, so we would walk down to the channel and the wind-blocked sandy areas by the Rudder (watch out for broken glass, but a great place to look for hermit crabs, crabs, seals and more). We found great fish tacos at Surfside about 10-15 minutes away (which also stocked boogie boards when everyone else said "not beach season" and stopped carrying them). Wave runner rental at SoCal Waverunners was easy and enjoyable, but again, pretty big waves on the ocean due to wind. So... great house. No complaints at all there. Remote, so that's great too. Easy trip up to Ventura and Ventura Harbor Village if you want a little "seaside town" experience. If you are OK with wind, a great rental.

Waking up each morning to the beach right outside our door was amazing! The bungalow was spotless, very well appointed and the perfect place to come back and relax in after a day in the sand/water. The outdoor seating area facing the beach was perfect for sunsets.....and the seating area in front was perfect for our nightly bbqs. We can't wait to come back!

This is a truly a great property. If the size fits your group, it's a great price and you'll have a wonderful trip. The house appears to have been recently remodeled, and everything works great. Beds were very comfortable. Shower had great pressure and temperature. All appliances appear to be recently upgraded and work great. We didn't discover the outdoor shower on the other side of the house until Day 2, but that was great for rinsing off the sand after long days at the beach. The kids loved the beach, nearby dunes, and bike rides around the neighborhood. The Farmers Market on Sunday was a nice surprise as well. We literally do not have one complaint. Everything surpassed our expectations and we had such a wonderful time, so thanks for sharing your home with us. For the owners, the neighbors to the South were very friendly and welcoming as well. Every time our kid's soccer game or play drifted over towards their area and we'd get nervous and rush out to the kids to move back over in front of our place. The neighbors told us not to worry and the kids were fine. Always gave us a friendly hello or short conversation when we were both on our decks. So that was great and we also want to thank them (if you know them) for being so welcoming and understanding.
