We are 2 families from MN and CA on an adventure to North Shore and Canada. This property was hands down the best, most comfortable place we stayed on our week-long trip. They anticipated any needs and had things thoroughly organized before our arrival. Almost anything you could want was there, and labeled! Everyone on the trip (ages 8 to 46) wanted to stay here again as it was all very clean and very comfortable. The owners were very helpful and communicative. This was the 3rd VRBO location our group has used over the years, and was the best place we've ever stayed.

Great location for all we like to do. Property beautiful.

The property was perfect for our extended family. The young children had space to play, we had a level for each family. The basement was quiet enough no one on the upper levels heard the new baby in the middle of the night. The kitchen was better stocked than any other vrbo we have stayed in.

We all enjoyed our stay. The condo had comfortable beds and great amenities. We didn't try the pool but my husband enjoyed the sauna. We were very close to town for groceries and close to the state parks with scenic waterfalls. Everyone thought the VRBO was great.

We are a group that meet almost 50 years ago at Augustana in Sioux Falls, SD. We have remained great friends and get together 1-3 times per year! We LOVED this home! Plenty of comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, lovely deck, fireplace for chilly evenings! Easy access to a lake - highly recommended!!!

Great view and location. Condo was clean and well cared for.

Weather wasn’t cooperating with outside plans, but no worries because this home provided a beautiful place to hunker down and watch the wind, rain and waves. We loved the selection of books and games. The sauna and fireplace kept us warm. Terrific location with lots to do nearby. 2nd time here with same group and we will come again!

Group of seven high school women friends celebrated our 75th birthday by spending four nights at this wonderful lake home on Lake Superior. Of course we would have had a wonderful time wherever we landed, but this rental was perfect in every way for our group. The lake views were stunning, the inside was warm and welcoming, and and the location was a great jumping off point for exploring the North Shore. The home was clean and very well equipped for cooking, playing games or relaxing and reading by the fire. We didn't try the sauna, but that is a neat feature. I highly recommend this rental! Hosts were incredible and easy to communicate with, very quick! Our family stayed here for college graduation and it was a fantastic, welcome retreat from the Canal Park and downtown area. We love the North Shore and it was a most delightful stay. I think the ONLY thing I said it was missing was toothpicks, haha! Seriously, everything was fantastic! I felt very "at home" which was important to me as the mom of the college grad with lots of family to attend to, the last thing I needed to worry about was where we all stayed. The view of the Lake was best each morning around 5:30am in my opinion!

My wife and I had an amazing stay at this gorgeous property. Wayne and Pat are tremendous hosts and made the process as simple as possible. The location is perfect for day trips hiking and exploring or just enjoying the view. Coming back to the property for relaxation and a sauna was the absolute best! We will definitely be back with the rest of the family

We had a great time - Wayne and Pat were excellent hosts and their property was so comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed the sound of the waves, the sauna and fireplace. A perfect weekend retreat.

The photos underestimate the space and comfort of this property. The views of Lake Superior were stunning. The convenience of being a short drive to so many North Shore destinations was so great. The sauna within the unit worked beautifully. Every detail of the unit from top to bottom was charming and made us want to rebook asap.

Beautifully appointed and organized - everything is labeled and well-stocked. The owners' thoughtful details show up everywhere. Loved the sauna and hang out spaces. We had a great girls getaway here. A few elements to be aware of in the winter. Not a gap of the owners, just adjust expectations if these are important to your experience: 1) It's a lovely view of Flood Bay facing northeast. But if you are hoping for a Lake Superior sunrise, that's around the corner 2) The wood fireplace has some venting issues that makes it hard for wood to catch well, and while they do have firestarter and paper, you have to provide your own firewood and kindling and then tend your fire. Perhaps the wood we used had some unknown gap, but we are fairly experienced wood fire tenders, and our fire was a bust. A fire is a much anticipated part of the winter north shore experience, so the gap impacted a bit of the joy of our trip. As a note to the owners, please share with the condo development that the salt use was too heavy so close to the lake.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The sunrise views were breathtaking, and the place was exceptionally well-stocked. We were particularly grateful for the abundant supply of towels. Some of us enjoyed using the sauna, which was perfect for warming up after a chilly day outdoors. The location was excellent, conveniently close to restaurants, downtown, and grocery stores. We all loved our time here and would be thrilled to return!

Lovely property. The view is gorgeous, the house is beautiful and well apportioned, and the hosts were very welcoming. We look forward to returning.

Perfect for 3 couples - each had our own floor and bathroom. Kitchen stocked with basics for eating in. Very clean. Winter visit so Nice to have a real fire and space to hang together and visit and play games but close to hiking or shopping or eating out.

The place is amazing and very comfortable! All of the adult couples had king size beds (very comfy by the way)and our grand daughter had her own room complete with lots of children's books etc. The Christmas tree was up and lit and many little Christmas things were placed here and there throughout the house. The house if fully stocked with every thing you need including a small pantry with baking and other sundries. Every thing is labeled so finding things in a strange kitchen is a snap. Of course the view of the big lake is fantastic as the house is high on the rocks just waiting for a good north east wind to put on a show. This place is definitely on our list for a return stay!

We stayed here to celebrate my daughter's 3rd brithday. Our family traveled from Eden Prairie, Rochester and Hawaii. We all had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful view from this home.

We lived the VRBO. It was perfect for our group of 10, family and friends for a much needed girls weekend away. Very comfortable accommodations with a great view of the lake. The hosts were some of the best I’ve worked with through VRBO. We all highly recommend staying here!!

The view was spectacular. We even saw a rainbow over the water our first night just a short walk away! The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with supplies. We found the main level living room a little too small for the 6 of us, but we didn't spend a ton of time inside so that wasn't a huge deal. There is plenty of living space on the lower level as an alternative. We just spent more time on the main level. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly.

Our family of 5 stayed here with both sets of grandparents. Fantastic floor plan for groups, with excellent separation for the times you want it, yet great open floor plan for gathering on the main floor. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of blankets and comfortable furniture. Beautiful unobstructed view of the water. Kitchen was well stocked for what we needed. Loved how close this is to split rock and gooseberry falls. Many other options if you want them! Day trip to grand marais would be easy. Castle danger brewery was fun - got great food at the bistro across the street. Thank you for opening your home to us!

I have stayed at other properties on the North shore, but this one if by far my favorite! The views, the decor, the comfort, the space, the ammenities, the location, the well stocked kitchen...i could keep going! The sweet hosts are like frosting on the cake! Thank you both for an amazing experience, again! My friends loved it, too!
