We absolutely loved our week at this lovely home. As promised, there was a beautiful view of the refuge, and the beach was only a block away. The house was so well stocked and so comfortable. As a bonus, there was some available beach gear and a wagon to carry it in. We had wonderful walks and relaxing evening on the beautiful screened in porch. My dogs LOVED the yard Thank you to the host for your quick responses to my few questions. We truly had a wonderful time and hope to return someday!

We had a wonderful vacation staying at Lunas Landing. We had 5 people, 3 adults and 2 kids, 6 &4. We all had a wonderful time, the house comes stocked with pretty much everything you could think of and more. The kids really enjoyed finding the bean bag chairs and the activity closet. The adults enjoyed the screened in porch to relax, read and have a few cocktails and watch the sunset over the marsh. It was an a very short walk to the pretty much deserted beach. We have stayed in Rehoboth previous years but found Primehook to be a wonderful spot as it’s very quiet but close enough to drive to mini golf, restaurants etc.
The kids are already asking that we stay longer next year!
Only suggestion would be to add a little ramp to the garbage cans shelter outside as when the cans were full it was hard to get in and out of the shelter.

Great property with everything you need for a great family vacation. Beautiful, quiet location with Prime Hook Beach just a short walk away. Loved watching the sunset from the deck at the end of the day.

We came down as a big family of 6. The house accommodated all of us with more than enough room to roam and play. It was 3 adults and 3 children. My mom chose the bedroom straight back and it was the perfect spot for watching all the wildlife out the window. We had a huge family of geese that visited every day. It would be great if there was also a screened porch on the back end of the house.
When planning your stay here, you’ll find you have to bring very little! I greatly enjoyed the blankets and bedding that were provided. The kids loved the bean bags and the kids room on the first floor. The house provided us with enough toilet paper, paper towels and laundry pods for a few days. We’re a big family so you may not have to supply your own at all! Another note I want to make is the Tupperware provided!! Great job. Some houses I’ve stayed at don’t provide those. You will need to provide your own Clorox wipes or any cleaning products to clean up after your kids or pets if needed. That was the only thing the house didn’t have. Oh! And there is an actual drip coffee pot- online we saw a kuerig but waited to see what was available at the house before we bought coffee. Bonus- some coffee and creamers and simple condiments are also provided.
Being back off the beach- the access could not have been any easier. The walk was simple and the beach wagon that was provided went over the small walk easily.
Overall, this was a great place. We had beautiful weather and just a great time.

We - my daughter, her husband, their 7-month old son and I spent several days at Lunas Landing the first week in June. None of us had any idea what it would be like. The house was very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed hanging out on the screen porch. Sometimes there was a breeze, sometimes not, but it was delightful. I don’t think I’ve spent time in a more peaceful place, except maybe the mountains of Colorado. You could see stars! No lights!
Just what we needed. And Tommy, my grandson, got his first experience of sand, getting wet in the bay and watching the dogs run. Thank you.

Very clean, everything we needed and more! The screened in deck was perfect and so was the fenced yard for our two pups! We will be back!

Our stay at Luna’s Landing is just what we needed for our annual get away! While this wasn’t our first stay on Prime Hook, it was our first stay on the wildlife refuge side. Absolutely great for bird watching and a very short walk to the beach. The house was clean and had every amenity you could need during a week stay. We loved having the fenced in yard for the dogs and the screened in porch for relaxing after a day at the beach. We hope to be back in future years!

The house is located in a very quiet, peaceful area only a few minutes walk to a private beach. The accommodations were perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space/seating for everyone to relax and hang out. I loved sitting on the screened in porch to read, listen to the birds and see the beautiful sunsets.

Lovely well appointed beach house. Super clean, well equipped kitchen, all around welcoming and homey atmosphere. We had 2 young children, 6 adults and dogs. The screened porch was wonderful, especially for those early risers who enjoy drinking a cup of coffee and watching the sun come up. Nice tall fence took the worry out of bringing dogs along and they enjoyed the nice grassy yard. We enjoyed the local wildlife from the shore birds to the very tame rabbits hopping around. The biggest surprise was the beach and neighborhood. We felt like we were the only people there. Actually, there really very few people around. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time and a busy day was 2 other people and occasional walkers. The waves were smaller than the regular shore so the small children could really enjoy themselves in the water. What was great is that the beach is a "living" beach. It is just as nature makes it. Horseshoe crabs, washup plants, etc. No thrashing machine at night cleaning the sand. No trash to clean up anyway, just natural occurring sea plants and great shells. House is very close to beach so easy to run back for a quick trip. Also was very nice to have beach gear to borrow.
Had a great visit and would like to return next year. Very big plus was the ability to bring our dogs. They enjoyed the beach in am and pm because it was very hot during our stay.

We were a party of 10, four children and six adults. The beach was great for the young children, since it was not crowded and with it being on the bay, the waves were small. The house was clean and recently painted/ redecorated. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment, which even included a crockpot. The screened porch was great for evening relaxation. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

This house was perfect. It was well stocked for all our needs, I especially appreciate paper products and tissues, usually overlooked in many houses. The location could not be more perfect , lovely marsh views , quiet , and a very short walk to a private beach. Great that our dogs were welcome too, with water bowl ready ! Our family loved this stay , we all want to come back.

The group (4 retired women and there fur babies) enjoyed our stay at Luna’s. It was just as described in the listing. Well stocked, comfortable and the fenced yard was an added bonus. Loved the peaceful mornings enjoying coffee and watching the sunrises on the screened porch. Only to be outdone by the sunsets over the reserve. We would very much consider a return visit.

This house was perfect for our family. Owner had everything available that you need for a beach vacation including wagon to carry stuff to the beach which was a short block walk. All the beds were comfortable including bunk beds. I slept on the double bunk with my 3 year old grandson and was surprised and pleased that it was a good thick firm mattress. Plenty of games and puzzles for a rainy day. I definitely want to come back here again.

We didn't need anything else once we got to our property. The pot & pans were great,also the property supplied paper towels,sugar,straws,dish soap.The grands loved the bunk bed room downstairs. We read books but couldn't get the tv to work downstairs. The wagon was great for carrying things to the beach. There was plenty of room for everyone! The beach is private & quiet. Would definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our week on Prime Hook using the house as a getaway for our daughter’s birthday. Our family was comfortable the entire stay and all of the amenities were perfect. Prime Hook may not be for everyone, but the seclusion and private feel to the beaches made it feel like a real getaway to us.

Wonderful week with family
11 of us ranging in ages from early 60's to 1 year old traveled from New York, DC and Virginia for a family week at the beach. The places fit our needs. The owner was quick to answer any question that come up.The bedrooms were all a good size. The living space was a little smaller than I had thought, but was adequate. The kitchen was one of the best equipped I have stayed at. It was easy access to the beach. We loved the outdoor shower and screened porch. There were more than enough games and puzzle books of the grandkids of all ages. Thank for having beach umbrellas, chairs and sand toys. It made packing easier, Bring your bug spray the black flies can be bad in July.

We had a lovely week with two of our dogs, an intergenerational gathering with 3 age groups represented and rave reviews from all. The neighborhood is quite friendly, the beach super accessible and sparsely populated. The house had EVERYTHING we needed - the kitchen was particularly well equipped. We loved the outdoor shower and the screened porch. Our 2 pooches reveled in the fenced yard, had flooring that made us not worry at all about muddy pawprints, and the dog dishes were the added touch that made us all swoon in delight.

Fun beach trip with the Fam in Prime Hook
We had a great time staying here with our Family of 4 and a dog. Great location away from the crowds but close enough to drive into Lewes and Rehoboth as well. The beach was a lot of fun and a short walk from the house. Very relaxing stay without any issues. The owners were easy to deal with and quick to respond for anything needed. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to vacation in this area.

We had private beach time that our dog was able to enjoy with us. Weather was wonderful the whole week too. We ventured out to Rehoboth twice while we were visiting, which was a nice change of pace. Although very secluded, Luna’s Landing and Prime Hook Beach was an amazing getaway for us. Would highly recommend if trying to avoid crowds and beach chaos.

Luna’s Landing is a wonderful house for families. It is dog friendly with lots of toys for kids. The view out back is gorgeous, especially at sunset! It’s only a short walk to the beach. It’s really a bay, not ocean, with a shallow, sandy bottom. Be prepared for occasional jellyfish in July. The beach was peaceful, practically empty and very quiet. Perfect covid getaway! The house is not as big as it looks from the aerial photograph and did not have a porch on the Preserve side which would be a fabulous future addition. Walls were thin so bring ear plugs but beds were comfortable and slept 11 of us and our 2 little dogs with ease. Only minor problem was the odor in the basement (and bedroom down there) but it clearly was not mold or mildew, and the distance to area entertainment (really not bad but required planning.) Aside from that we had a fabulous time!!
