Our stay was perfect! This house is a great option for those looking for a more private beach experience. The house was a good size for 4 adults and 3 kids and a dog. Hope to get back next year!

The beachfront house could not have been better! Easy, private access. House was much nicer than expected. House was clean and well-stocked with all the utensils, pans, etc. that you could want. Loved both the screened-in porch and the second-story porch above it. The beds and furnishings were terrific. As for the bay, the water was warm with virtually no waves. Beach and wading areas were almost all sand without the usual large broken shells that are typical of most beaches. This is an excellent vacation place!!

We had a great time at Jim’s place! The house is the perfect size for four adults and four kids. There was plenty of beach stuff which was much appreciated and the screened porch and outdoor shower were fantastic! Nice quiet beach but the fireworks shows were spectacular! Would definitely recommend!

Better than expected! The private beach was just steps away, and the house was comfortable and clean with all of the amenities you could need. Will be booking for next summer!

We loved this property. Beautiful sunrise views and being so close to the beach was wonderful. It was quiet and we had friendly neighbors. Love the screened in porch. Hope to come back!

Perfect location - well equipped home. Parking area could have been a little better organized, but other wise five stars.

This property was perfect for our family. We even had extra room. The screened-in porch was awesome, and the view from the top deck was amazing. Communication with the owner was easy, and he answered all my questions. NOTE: This property does not have sheets or towels. They are rentable from a local company, but we brought our own. I liked that the price of the VRBO was less expensive than others since the owner does not have to pay for the laundry service. We had extras, so it was a no-brainer.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Jim’s shore side home. The home was very clean when we checked in and we couldn’t have asked for a better host, and everything was there for our beach experience. The beach area is private and not crowded, away from beachgoers. The home is comfortable and very spacious, and the views are fantastic. I will be booking this place again.

The location - right on the beach! - couldn't be better. Also, the screened porch that looked out on the beach allowed us to spend our whole time "on the beach," either literally on the beach (beautiful sunrises!) or eating, reading, relaxing in the screened porch. House is very roomy, very well stocked, and very comfortable. We liked this place so much, and the great communication with the owner, that we've already looked at dates to stay here again!

We truly enjoyed our spring break here. The house was perfect for our family of 5 and couldn’t ask for a better location. Look forward to visiting again!

The house was well set up for our group of 5 adults and senior pup. There was ample seating in the living room. Aside from perishables, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. It was a little bit of a pain to have to bring our own sheets and towels, but we managed. I appreciated that there was no additional cleaning fee and would rather have the option to bring my own than have to pay for them to be rented. My only small complaint was that the master bedroom bed was extremely firm. I suggest bringing a mattress topper if you have one. Other than that, go and enjoy! We really loved seeing the Canadian geese on the water. There were so many it looked like whitecaps!

We took our dog here for a quiet weekend. Everything was as described. House was clean, neighborhood is very quiet, and the beach is nice and private.

Had a wonderful time at Jim’s house! It’s right on the shore with incredible views from both floors, you can’t beat waking up to the sunset over the water from your bedroom window. The place is very spacious and had everything we needed. Jim was also very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

My family had a wonderful stay here. We love nature and so were delighted with this location on a natural beach with lots of sea life on the sand to examine with each tide, and the beautiful Prime Hook NWR behind us and separated by only one row of houses. We were able to communicate with Jim easily. We used 3 beds and all found them very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. We would stay again.

We have been going to the Delaware beaches for quite a few years in the Fall and have loved doing it every time. This time was no exception. The house was clean, well-stocked and had a beautiful view of the bay.

What a wonderful house, better than the pictures portray. It’s the 2nd time we’ve stayed here, would still do it again. We had a minor issue,I texted Jim he responded with minutes. If you are looking for quiet and peaceful this is the place. The neighbors are very friendly unlike some other places we’ve stayed. Highly recommend!

We had excellent weather with a breeze off the water the entire week. Enjoyed the accommodations, the proximity to the beach and the view of the bay. Our dog really enjoyed running on the beach. Would definitely go again.

We loved the house and it’s proximity to the beach. The screened porch was great for evening dinners and hanging out. Highly recommend for families with young children. The beach has almost no waves and the sand bar is great for hanging out on a little island.

This bayfront home is absolutely perfect for families looking for a quiet getaway or vacation right on the Delaware Bay.

Overall we had a nice stay. House was big enough to accommodate 2 parents and 4 adult children. Beach is very quiet, perhaps a bit too quiet for me but it was relaxing. It is on the Delaware Bay so it is not a beach with breaking waves like Rehoboth or Bethany Beach. A few minor issues when we arrived but no big deal. Neighborhoood is friendly.

The stay at Prime Hook was what I wanted. It was quiet and relaxing. I enjoyed the birds and wildlife, which was unexpected. The house was very comfortable and clean. The owner was very attentive.

Jim is pleasant and was very responsive when we reached out closer to our stay for some check in instructions. We left early and notified him of a few minor defects with the property such as the deck screen having some open gaps, grill full of live nesting birds and some loose bathroom fixtures. His instructions stated to make sure that the hurricane shutter is closed every day for the rain and because this was in all caps (with exclamation points) we made sure not to to open it at all and we informed him. A week after we left he messaged us implying that we left it open. This wasn’t an issue for us as we have documented communication the day we left that we never opened it and we outlined this in our response. Furthermore the beach is not very swim friendly, May be the time of the year. Neighbors told us that it was horse shoe cran mating season which explains why the beac was littered with them. This brought on large, biting flies and there was a dense amount of brown algae. Nonetheless we had a good family weekend and the house was homey.

Prime Hook Beach is calm, peaceful, and restful. Our timing for the weather was not the best, but we lived on the screened in deck and enjoyed the sunshine and the sights and sounds of the water. The house has everything anyone could ask for. It was comfortable and roomy. The appliances were great and cooking fresh produce we found was so easy. We went to Rehoboth for an hour and was so grateful for our seaside place. Jim is the best. He was very accommodating to our wishes and got us a regular coffee pot. He was very kind and responsive. He is committed to his guests to have a good time. Thank you!!!! Susy and Pati
