Staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good- plenty of selection and again the staff were excellent, constantly clearing away dishes and topping up the food.
Only downside is the lack of car parking but no a major issue for either me or my wife

There was poo outside hotel on the Sunday morning at 8.30am, told reception… was still there at 12pm
Staff looked run off their feet, which made them seem unfriendly, but in fact so busy.
Parking is a nightmare and not ideal if you’re disabled.
Prices of drink at bar very expensive
And been to hotel before and seen so much more run down.

The fabric part of the headboard had a rather unpleasant smell, it was a very strong garlic smell. I spoke with the receptionist when we left.

I never have breakfast at hotels. It is my indoors privileged moment. I make my own coffee with a Melita filter. A bread and butter person even if toasts are sorely missed.
The good quality bathroom wardrobe material. Wooden glass sliding door is smart.
The bed linen and towels quality. Fluffy towels help a lot.
The dark curtains helped sleep any time.

Wi Fi never failed but nevertheless worried about the Open Network. I fear my data might have ended in the wrong hands too many times.
Never asked cleaning for 8 nights. All I needed was the quiet, the silence, the privacy. No noise from housekeepers. They clean discreetly. I keep as tidy as I can.
Special mention to Iga mother to be, very cheerful, upfront, attentive. Since day 1, the IT outage Day, she showed all the scope of her professional and human skills. All staff was professional but too well aware that rules didn´t allow the flexibility that differentiates a good hotel from an excellent one.
I struggled with the pillows. Very bad for the neck to sink so deep. A flat medium hard pillow is needed instead of so many invasive pillows.
The window was sealed which should have been mentioned clearly. I felt smothered at times. But the AC worked very well. Turned it on off when needed.
I was waiting for a refund as my budget melted like ice in the sun. Not on vacation. I was told to talk to the manager to pay 2 nights at checkout after the 8 fully paid but I gave up. The Hilton doesn´t strike me as flexible and pragmatic or even interested in making guests return. When offered all good faith proof, I believe payment flexibility creates loyalty. So I spared me being told the usual song, sorry but guests have to pay upfront. Big hotels are not Bed and Breakfasts where owners use their discernment.
Had to pick up the trolley myself due to the shortage of staff. On top of 0 breakfast 0 housekeeping. Definitely, no one can call me lazy.

location great - there's a lift on the street to go into the reception area so you don't have to walk up the hill to the main entrance. I would recommend you go onto Torbay council website and get a parking pass for your stay as its so much cheaper. The hotel does not have a car park however there is a council car park just round the corner (walking distance).
Very modern inside and very comfortable. The breakfast is like most - help yourself but its all freshly cooked.
If you arrive early (which we do to take advantage of that day) the staff will keep your luggage until its time to check in.

There was only one little ick for me ..... there was no where to hang your jackets. It rained for a couple of days when we went and it was frustrating when our coats were wet. Also our room was by the cleaners and when we wanted a lay in they were quite noisy but they were having a laugh. - better than arguing lol

The receptionists were cold and abrupt.I asked for another pillow and it was obviously thrown onto the bed by housekeeping. It was not placed carefully.

I found a used plaster with blood on stuck on my arm when I got up from the bed on the first morning . I took it to the reception in a tissue and handed it in . I asked for this to be reported to management and to be updated . I was not , on checking out I raised it again and was told someone would contact me , no body did

Good location right on the Harbour but it’s on a steep hill, difficult to access and especially tricky if you have trouble walking.
Very mediocre for the price. No complimentary drinking in the room. I had to switch the fridge on myself and then go out to purchase a few bottles of water. The fridge is tiny, cheap looking and basically ineffective, after ten hours it was still struggling.
The room was hot and stuffy and again I had to take time to mess around with the air conditioning. The windows didn’t open either.
TV channels are very limited. The bar is basically nonexistent and there is a very expensive but limited choice available.

I went to check in and I had two staff one female one male just looking down at paperwork. I waited then after a couple of minutes the man said scan I help you !
I said I’d like to check in please then he says to the female oh can you do this check in? Which she seemed confused about as me to why he didn’t go ahead and check me in himself? I asked about parking she was trying to explain how you can pay by card for several nights like 5 or 7 days and it was just so confusing 🫤 no warmth from either of them .
Next morning thank goodness a new waitress was working her first day and she was a delight friendly and couldn’t do enough for us !

1. The rude staff, Valentine and Iga, were very aggressive and impolite. Valentine, the rude duty manager, shouted at me and said if we didn’t pay extra, he would cancel our reservation. He impolitely said I had not included all the people during the reservation, which was not true. He even did not bother himself to take a look at my reservation documents to see that IT WAS THE HOTEL ERROR THAT SUGGESTED INAPPROPRIATE OPTIONS FOR OUR STAY. When you input how many people are going to stay, it gives you some options according to your information, and I had simply chosen from their proposed options. But by ignoring their mistake, they didn’t take responsibility for it, and they made me pay extra by threatening to cancel my reservation. Valentine was shouting at me at the reception in such a way that my little one started crying. Have you had any training on how to treat the hotel guests?!! It was disgusting.
2. We had lots of issues but the worst problem was that all of my daughter’s medicine became ineffective as their so-called fridge was broken. They scammed us by claiming that the room had a fridge. THEIR FRIDGES ARE NOT FRIDGE AT ALL; THEY ARE COOL BOXES. Even their technician said so. He said all the fridges in this hotel are cool boxes, and the management does nothing for them. When you object that it does not work properly, their first statement is, “Oh, you need to turn it on!” But turning it on doesn’t change anything, as it only turns the light inside on and doesn't make the stuff cool. They know it well and deceive you by postponing addressing the issue until you check out. It’s a scam and disgusting.
3. They are not a member of the consumer arbitration scheme, and they do not accept complaints either! I complained via booking.com and also directly to the hiltons, but my complaints reached nowhere. It's the way that Hiltons get away from their scams. It’s a shame for Hiltons that you treat your guests like that.

Excellent location, very friendly & professional staff. Great size room with comfy bed, crisp white linen & fluffy white towels. Large flat screen TV, safe, mini fridge, tea & coffee facilities, and toiletries provided.
Parking close by with lift down to ground level right opposite the entrance to the hotel.
Lift inside the hotel to take you down to the harbour level, so no need to climb any hills!
Lovely decor & hearty breakfast, with plenty of choice. Bar & reception open 24 hours a day!
All was great, minor detail but room could do with a few coat hooks near the door. We had a couple of small issues with the room which we reported to reception and I have no doubt they will be sorted.

The hotel was in a fantastic location, right on the front of the torquay sea front in the heart of the town. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were amazing. The breakfast was 10/10 highly recommend this hotel.

La situation géographique de l'hôtel avec 2 sorties possibles : une vers le haut de la ville ( Fleet street ) une vers la Marina.
De plus l'hôtel très récent est doté d'équipements de très bonne qualité.
Peut-être le peu de contacts avec le personnel et le fait que 2 demandes soient restées sans effet ( éclairage hors service juste au dessus du miroir de salle de bains et frigo défaillant ) bien qu'elles aient été faites au début du séjour de 6 nuits.

The sofa bed in the room was a little uncomfortable and didn't have a cover for the blanket which had stains on it and the pillows could have been more comfortable
