The property was perfect for one night stay and also long time staying. Cozy yet very comfortable. I was just coming to recharge my batteries and it definitely worked. PERFECT

Excellent location for an overnight stop before a morning ferry. Compact and bijou. Very nice shower. Nicky was very helpful and very easy to communicate with.
Bathroom a little tight and TV a little awkward to sort .

Very friendly owner.
Cramped.
To say it's self catering is pushing to the extreme.
Insisted we remove our shoes and put them in a box even though it was dry outside.
Literally located on a patio.
At £40, I would be happy.

I stayed here whilst attending a course nearby. It was comfy, clean and tidy and very spacious. The location is perfect, close to the train station, port and theres a lidl nearby for any shopping needed. The bed was big and comfy. Shower was lovely. Big Tv with lots of streaming apps to watch things on. Lots of kitchen ware and if anything was missing, Nicky would bring for me. Easy to lock door so felt safe when in the room. Lots of street parking but also the option to pay to park on the driveway. Nicky was so attentive, nothing that I asked for was a problem. She checked in on me everyday to make sure I had everything that I needed. Would highly recommend staying here. I had a lovely week and hopefully will stay here again for my refresher course
It wasn’t a surprise that there was no kitchen, I booked and arrived knowing what I had available to me but I suppose that is the only thing that would’ve made the place perfect. I did not struggle with food options however. Lidl was fully stocked on every visit. Using the microwave kettle, toaster and hot plate you are still able to make good meals. Also can take advantage of the local restaurants and cafes if you get a chance!

Perfect house for summer vacation. The host was super friendly and always reachabale. She was tring to solve any issues we face as quick as possible. Even she let me park my car in her parking. Real thumbs up for her.
I expected the property to be a little bigger. As we were 4 people, I felt like it is a little small for 4 people.

Great location for ferry.

Nicky, the owner, was really helpful and very nice to deal with.

Definitely will be booking again.

It was no nicely decorated and everything very comfortable.
As it was a warm day we decided to sleep on the sofa bed with the open door. My boyfriend is big guy, and the sofa bed was just perfect for his size. Very comfortable .
Liked everything

It was clean, functional and Nicky was amazing
4.0
Very friendly host, clean property.
No parking unless I paid. Quite disappointing especially as there was easily enough available space to park my car on her driveway, as a result I had to park my vehicle off her property and on a public road.
3.5
Very clean, modern but extremely compact space. Quiet and safe location. Polite and business-like owner. OK for a short stay for a couple with a young child but too cramped for 3 adults.
The small split-level bathroom is a liability: both my son and I slipped on the step and my foot still hurts where I twisted it. No opening window in the bedroom, no comfortable seating in the studio (the spare bed does not qualify IMHO) no privacy for the person sleeping in the living-room. The fridge wasn’t plugged in and there is nowhere to fill a water bottle as the only tap is on the bathroom sink. Paying a £3 supplement for the privilege of parking a blue badge owner’s car seem a little insensitive. There were no close-by parking spaces on the street. We had already paid a £10 late check-in fee (we arrived 10 minutes after 10pm on the 9:15pm ferry) to the owner who lives on the premises.

We liked that it was comfortable for 4 people, a lovely size, everything we needed was there. The sofa in the living room pulled out to a bed and was very comfortable, overall very clean and tidy. Nicky! Thankyou we had a great stay.
We found it tricky to navigate through the telly channels, but wasn't a problem as we only stayed for one night.

Couldn’t fault the accommodation it was immaculate clean, safe and very comfortable.
There was nothing we had an issue with.

Nicky was very friendly and helpful. Great location for the ferry terminal & excellent value.

Suited what we needed at the time. Clean and comfortable. Good wifi
Wasn't expecting a pull out bed but for one night it was fine.

To say this was the worst stay in my life is an understatement. From an uncomfortable foldable bed to the fridge that was off when we arrived to host that was the worst.
Honestly the audacity of the host to berate the guests, for over 10min (as they were implying they will refuse to give us deposit back because we left some water on the floor after using their shower, and then did us a "favour" by giving our money back).
Also, the first question we were asked when we arrived was did we park on the driveway (not even a secure one) so they could charge us more! After making us wait outside their back entrance for 5min, even though we provided them with 10min window of our arrival 30min before. When we arrived they were still preparing the room...
Then we got whispered into the room, and asked not to use shoes in the room, which we thought was fair (until the shower incident, because now we realise the only reason they asked for this, is that they could avoid cleaning the rooms for longer periods between guests!)
The room was tiny, and the bed was the most uncomfortable double bed, I woke up with back pain the following morning. The bed sheets haven't been refreshed in years, as the colours were faded to oblivion. The fridge was off and all the equipment as well. To have some tea we had to take a kettle out of the cupboard and place it on the floor as no extension cables were provided.
And so on and on.
We have stayed in a lot of homestead stays, and this one was hands down the worst.
But honestly blame myself as I should have spent more time reviewing this property, if I did it would have been clear that it has weeks where the scores go to 1-4 followed by high scores.

Nicky was very welcoming. The unit is small but comfortable and walking distance to the local co op. Great for a short stay
The shower floor was a little slippery so told the host and I'm sure she'll sort it

Nicky was very friendly and amenable and ready to sort any issues promptly

It was clean. You could sit outside. The bathroom was fine.
It was small- basically a converted garage. No indication that you had to put the bed away in the morning in order to get room to move. Probably okay for 1 night but not longer. A bit overpriced for what you hot.
3.5
Cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. Location- near to the Festival we were attending. Host was very welcoming.
Lack of washing up facility- which meant the host had to wash up our crockery which we left on the garden table. Lack of privacy - as the accommodation was directly opposite the host's house with no screening to make it private.
1.5
The bathroom was nicely fitted, and I liked the decor.
The property is a garage converted into 2 spaces. It didn't look like what was advertised. The photos showed that there was a bedroom, living room with a sofa bed, kitchen area, and bathroom. We only had one room (sofa bed) and a bathroom. It was very cramped. We thought we would have access to everything advertised. It looks like the space has been divided into two areas to possibly make more money and have more guests. It is not good value for money.
On arrival, we had to call the host to let us into the property and give us a key (they didn't use the key box that was advertised). We also had to pay a £30 deposit on arrival, which was explained in the email on how to check in.
We had a lot of interactions with the host that I personally don't like. I specifically look for places to stay that have a key box and a private space. The host came to us on arrival, on the 2nd day (to get a plumber to repair the toilet seat), and to check out. I think it was unnecessary, lacking privacy, and trust.

We didn’t realise we had to make up a pull out bed.

Great experience from booking to check out. Very clean. Lovely space. Great host 👍
2.5
The proximity to the port
being asked for a £30 deposit for a one night stay we found offensive. We travel throughout the world and regularly stay in apartments, air B&B etc often for several days but have never been asked for a cash deposit. We found it quite offensive. we also didn’t like the petty rules of having to remove our shoes for a laminate floor. we are not school children and some of us live in beautiful homes! the charge of £3 to park on the drive is really taking the Mickey and just sums up the whole set up. the ‘bed’ is actually a sofa bed which the host said she would make up whilst we were having supper. However when we returned it hadn’t been done and we had to phone her to remind her. As we’re in our seventies, we don’t expect to have to make up our own bed when we’re paying to stay somewhere. the bed isn’t comfortable to sit on as a sofa and is not easy to get in or out of as a bed. in brief a bad experience which we will not be repeating. sorry but can’t recommend.

Friendly and helpful welcome. There were useful extras like a fridge in the room. Very convenient for the ferry, easy to park, smart clean room. To make the most of limited space, the sofa converted easily into a large double bed and in any case help was offered if we needed it.
No complaints. This was a perfect overnight stop for the ferry.
