My family and I stayed at Oceans Edge for a week in July. This place is amazing in so many ways. First, even before arriving, Ester from the property management company, contacted us with all the necessary information to make our stay as enjoyable as possible: flights to the island, golf cart rentals, excursions, groceries, etc... Even during our stay, she was pretty much our own personal concierge that responded via Whatsapp very promptly to all of my questions and requests. Next, the grounds were immaculate. The groundskeeper and his assistant helped with kayaks and paddleboard usage. The seaweed was cleared every morning and the beach was raked to perfection. Each day, they were happy to see you and greeted you with a smile. And finally, the unit itself is beautiful. It is large and has everything you would ever need for a comfortable stay. And obviously you can't beat the ocean front view. The location on the south side of the island is quite and is the perfect distance from the downtown area. It was like we had our own little slice of heaven. Don't let the lack of reviews fool you. I was a little concerned at first about this. The management company just took over the property earlier this year. I was so happy that I chose Oceans Edge.

Please be aware that you cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet. You have to put it in the trash. This is quite common on the island. However, this was not stated in the listing, so was a bit of a shock for me and my group. This absolutely should be stated in the listing. Other than that, its a nice condo with a great view. You will need to rent a golf cart. Best restaurant from our perspective on the island is south, about 1/2 mile or so, of the condo called Playa Del Sala. Small boutique hotel , adults only. Food is delish. New chef started a few weeks ago. If you stay make sure you visit.

Our family had an amazing time staying ten days at Ocean's edge. The photos on VRBO do not capture that you wake up to colorful sunrises over turquoise waters. Rays and other ocean life can be spotted from the end of the dock. If you want to venture out on a tour, your guides can pick you up from this spot. Ester, the property manager, was a miracle worker with hard to get holiday restaurant reservations. She found us a golf cart when I was having trouble myself, and most amazingly, found a tour group to take us out for a combination snorkel and dive trip to Turneffe Atoll, something I had not been able to find. And it was an amazing tour with nurse sharks, rays, turtles, schools of blue tang, and angle fish. And, of course, living beautiful corals. Hope you can go, and remember to bring your reef safe zinc sunscreen to protect all that ocean beauty.
