Somewhat tricky room (Beacon View) for “mature” clients……

The staff are fantastic. Very young and welcoming team who know their jobs well and are efficient and personable. We stayed in Beanstalk which was quiet just as advertised. Breakfast was delicious and varied.

My one mark down is due to the mattresses. They are at the end of their use. I could feel the springs.

VG breakfast . Open fires. Staff friendliness. Location. Historic building. Lovely village.

Next time we will choose a bigger bedroom than Black Cap!

Comfy bed with lovely sheets, interest period property.

SO expensive for what it was!! Was just not to the standard of clean expected for the price. Property was nice but average. At breakfast we literally had to go round the property find a member of staff to serve us breakfast as the room was totally unattended. Breakfast was small but nice. Was a birthday night away but really rather average.

The beds were rather hard and as you get older thats more uncomfortable but they were spacious and had lovely bed linen

Expensive Staff communication poor in advance of stay Dinner service very slow Breakfast not served until 9 am and then not laid out and no orders taken until 9.15, we had to leave without full breakfast Staff pleasant but not efficient
