This home was the perfect place for our extended family getaway to the Black Hills. We had 6 adults and 9 kids. The 3 main bedrooms were ideal for 3 couples and the 2 bunk rooms were great for the kids. We loved the hot tub, theater/game room and the community club house pool! The house was clean and well stocked with supplies; towels, blankets, pillows, games, kitchen equipment, garbage bags, soap etc. The only issues we had was the internet did not work the first couple of days. They did send someone over to fix it on the second morning. Also we did run out of hot water one evening when everyone was needing to shower after a long day of hiking and swimming. The Powder House Pass subdivision is an amazing area! We would definitely stay here again!

We loved this property. The theatre & game room were excellent for the kiddos and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Our family did a lot of cooking while we were there. Our only complaint is that the knives are very dull. Overall, the stay was fantastic!

There was dust and cobwebs that should not have been there considering how much the cleaning fee was. We had no wifi. The property manager was slow in dealing with this, however the owner did show up to try and take care of the issue. Turns out the provider had cut a line and it wouldn't be fixed until Monday. The TV in the living room did not work at all. The hot tub was dirty and there was thick ice on the path to the tub.

This is a great property that is able to accommodate multiple families very easily. The location is perfect for any Black Hills family vacation. We were within 15-20 minutes of Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon and Sturgis. We were within 45 minutes of Mount Rushmore, Bear Country and Reptile Gardens. Property manager was very responsive and extremely helpful. Property was clean and had ample parking so that we did not have to shuffle cars around as people came and went. There is a pool in the neighborhood that the kids went to and loved. The hot tub was so relaxing and enjoyable for evenings or mornings. We did smores on the gas fire pit and was able to grill/prep all of our meals in the large kitchen. Everyone in my family was extremely happy and impressed with the VRBO I had found, it was the talk of the week.

This was my first time reserving a place this way. Was very easy and Budi was very good to work with. The property was exactly how it was described/presented. Easy access to the trail. The house is large enough for a big group to comfortably spread out, make meals, watch movies etc. The kids especially enjoyed the theatre seats for watching movies. The property is in a housing development which does have advantages but does not give that being out in the hills secluded feel like some cabins we have stayed at. The cabin is fully stocked with kitchen appliances, towels, games etc. The biggest issue we had was with the hot tub. There was no supplies to check the levels, there was one small unmarked bottle of chemicals next to the hot tub for our stay of 5 days. When I called to inquire I was told that everything was good to go with the hot tub and there was nothing we needed to do. However anyone who has used or owned a hot tub before knows that it cannot be used for a couple days without levels being checked and balanced. So even though we followed all their instructions the Hot tub maintenance guy had to come out and drain it in the middle of our stay because clearly it had not been taken care of correctly before our stay started. Overall we enjoyed our stay but based on our experience with the property management company compared to others in the area we would most likely not use them again.

Beautiful home, great location. Beds are very comfortable with nice linens and there are a lot of towels for multiple people. Large kitchen table and a very well stocked kitchen. Very responsive to any questions we had or anything we needed. The basement setup with the theater seating and video game and game tables was a big hit for our family. Our only "complaint" is the basement area is a lot cooler than the upstairs, we wished it had a fireplace to take the chill out. Overall an excellent home to rent for your next family get together.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the On the Rocks property. The house was essentially brand new so everything was clean and functional. We had three families staying together and the property had plenty of space for the kids to hang out (amazing media room downstairs) and for the adults to enjoy each other’s company (main dining room/kitchen, patio and deck). A great stay overall - wouldn’t hesitate to book again!
