We enjoyed the space and views of this property. Close to downtown plaza and shopping, restaurants. Wish it had AC instead of evaporative cooling on these hot days. Great outdoor entertaining spaces. A good experience.

The upscale home was as described in the listing with easy access to downtown Santa Fe. The kitchen was well equipped with modern gourmet appliances. The living room was very spacious with ample seating for 10+. The furniture was comfortable. The weather did not allow use of the outdoor space but would have been nice for our group of 8 overlooking great views. The views could also be enjoyed from large windows in the living room. The only negative would be the BBQ was not clean to the point that I would have been hesitant to use it. Overall, it was a beautiful home, and we would definitely rent it again.

Television in main room too small. Master bedroom has queen bed., not king. Guests said mattresses are worn. Kitchen pots and pans need replaced.

It was a wonderful home with a beautiful view. My family and I enjoyed watching the snow fall thru the large windows, with the fire going in the fireplace. Would recommend this home for rental.

The Dorthia Garden Retreat created the perfect atmosphere for our family holiday vacation. It all started with the accurately worded description and images followed by the perfectly timed communications and easy to follow check in/check out processes. The management of this property was perfect. The Dorthia Garden Retreat is situated on top of a beautiful hill that overlooks the valley with a view of the nearby mountains. The view from the living areas created an uplifting spirit in our entire family. The well designed and apportioned kitchen with island bar encouraged group effort for meal preparation. We ate delicious hardy home cooked meals. The large comfortable bedrooms with baths gave us the privacy and quiet that was needed by our growing family. The babies took their naps while the adults shared pictures and memories from the days events. Santa Fe offers family fun shopping and entertainment. We took advantage of both. We took the babies to the mountains to sled in the snow and to explore the mysteries of Meow Wolf. We shopped in the town square for holiday memory souvenirs. The Dorthia Garden Retreat was our refuge after our long energy absorbing excursions! We highly recommend this beautiful home.

Home was as described. Lots of space for a large party of friends and family. Quiet neighborhood, easy and quick access to the city for supplies or dinner and shopping. Great kitchen for cooking when eating in. Trails for walks or runs are close by. Would definitely rent house again if we return to Santa Fe!

With the most wonderful livingroom to gather the family. Great view, clean and functional, bedrooms with own bathrooms were a big deal!

The property itself is amazing with beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset and close to hiking trail. It is very spacious with lots of patios open floorpan. However, that was about all the property had going for it. The furniture, bedding, TV's and electronics were old and extremely outdated. In all the downstairs rooms the beds are all queen with old bedspreads and pillow shams (not sure they are cleaned between uses) the mattress were old lumpy spring mattresses. The only king bed was located in a random upstairs bedroom with no bathroom attached. The TV's were the old tube TV's and we had to buy a HDMI cord to get football games on through our computer. The master bath hot tub shot out mildew when you turned on the jets, and the master shower was very musty. Over all I would not choose to stay in the property again.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely recommend. Location was easy to get to the plaza and restaurants. The view is amazing and the outdoor spaces are great. Kitchen has all of the amenities.

This large 5 BR home is perfect for large groups. Four of the bedrooms have private bathrooms. Beautiful southwestern decor is comfortable and elegant. The kitchen has near-commercial grade appliances and plenty of room for group cooking. The views from this hilltop house is fabulous. This was the perfect spot place for our family reunion.

We had five people meeting for a mini-reunion. Perfect location!

This place is wonderful and has an amazing view of the mountains and city. If you have 8-10 people there is plenty of room. A huge gorgeous kitchen and two patios. I’d recommend staying there. That said. There are some irksome issues that need to be addressed. Check in is very late at 4pm and then you have to check out at 10:00 am. This major inconvenience is non-negotiable for an increased fee. Very frustrating for travel plans. After checking in the property was unbearably hot and there was no specific instructions on how or where to turn on the AC. After discussions with the mgmt we discovered how but everyone felt the bedrooms were hot and uncomfortable at night. Other than those issues, it’s a beautiful large home and we’d stay again if some of the ac and check in our issues were improved. The home is dated with old TVs and poor WiFi. The 5th bedroom upstairs has no bathroom and has a weird sink instead of a bathroom. Uber rides to and from the downtown plaza run $10 and drivers are 3-10 minutes away. It’s a great place but I wish I’d have known some of this information before we rented it to make our stay more convenient and comfortable.

Rented the house for a family Thanksgiving of 10. The good and the bad: Each bedroom had its own bathroom except for the upstairs (which is described as a bedroom but there's no shower etc.) My sister-in-law had to share a shower and use the downstairs guest bathroom to get ready. We loved the family room layout. The space was wide open and everyone could lounge comfortably without being on top of one another. Be mindful of the 2 steps going down to the sunken in living room. We had to keep reminding our elderly parents so they wouldn't fall. The view was really quite stunning and everyone commented on how relaxing it made them feel. The kitchen was also nice since we had a large group. The oven space was tricky. We needed 2 large overs but it had one large and a quarter size oven. The only real negative comments: 1) They need a new TV!! The TV is an old tube style about 30". When you're having a family of 10 come for Thanksgiving and watch football, this was pretty ridiculous considering a large flat screen costs about $500-$600. 2) WIFI is terrible!!!!! I can't emphasize that enough! We had some of our family members who had to work and with the WiFi being so horrible, they couldn't get much of their work done and had to use their hotspots from their phone. 3) They need more adequate lighting outside in the driveway area AND by the outside stairs. Coming and going during the evening was rather tricky. It's a safety issue and needs to be addressed by the owner. We would have rented the home again for the following Thanksgiving but given these negatives, we opted out and found another home in Santa Fe for 2018.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is so poorly maintained that it ruined our visit. The freezer stopped working one day into our visit as did the dishwasher. The maintenance people came to the house and were able to fix the freezer, but the dishwasher never worked properly. The buttons on the control pane were so worn out that they did not engage properly. Also, there were ants in the kitchen which had not been sprayed for prior to our visit so the maintenance people had to do that as well while we were there. The swamp cooler sounded like a jet engine and was so loud you could not hold a normal conversation in the living room. The final straw was that the smoke detectors continued to go off without provocation. This started at 6:00 a.m. while we were all sleeping and continued into the evening hours. Since this occurred on a Saturday and Saturday evening, we had to call the emergency number and have the maintenance person come to the house. He disconnected the detectors which stopped the noise, but by that time our visit had been ruined. In addition to these significant problems, there were other annoyances such as shades in two of the bedrooms not working so that air could not get into the rooms through open windows which in turn meant that the swamp cooler could not work correctly. All in all, it was a very dissatisfactory experience and we would not come back or do business with Kokopelli Property Management again.

However, there is much unrealized potential and a number of maintenance/amenities problems. There were cobwebs in the doorways, one of the bedrooms was unusable when we arrived, there were ants in the kitchen, the water somehow got turned off, and one of the smoke detector's batteries went, initiating an incessant beeping. The property managers were incredibly responsive in addressing these issues. On the amenities side of things, the bed linens and bath towels could all use updating, there was no patio furniture so we could not enjoy the outside areas, we could not get the main TV working in the living room as the set up is arcane and too complex with no instructions, and we had to reset the router to get the wifi working. This a great house needing a lot of attention in the details to make it worth the per night cost.

There are four wonderful bedrooms with very comfy beds and each one has a private bathroom. The fifth bedroom has a mini kitchenette, however, the couple that stayed in that room said the bed was very uncomfortable. They had to share the master bath since it doesn't have its own bathroom. Overall, we loved the home. It was very spacious and was perfect for all 10 of us. The view from the living room is absolutely beautiful. The home is a 5 minute drive from a grocery store and a 10 min drive from the plaza. The ski basin is about 45 min away. We would highly recommend renting this home.

The house is perfect for a small family reunion. Immaculate, spectacular views, very comfortable, and good location. It suited our cousin's reunion very well. It will be difficult to come close to this for our next reunion.
