Everything was perfect, the views, the house, the rental agency. We definitely want to return to this house. The neighborhood is quiet, and the access to the ocean and the preserve couldn't be more convenient. We enjoyed watching the birds, the sunsets, and cooking most of our meals there. The house was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We slept in the master bedroom and the bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed sleeping in late. I would recommend this home to anyone who enjoys having outstanding views and walking to the ocean. Thanks so much to Jone and Heidi for being so accomodating.

What a perfect little house with a view of the ocean to celebrate our anniversary. So many windows to see the beautiful scenery. This home had everything you might need for a comfortable stay.

The upstairs sliding door had problems opening and closing. The Master bath pocket door had problems opening from inside the bathroom. One of the Blue High Patio Chairs seats was broken with a hanging screw. A ceiling lightbulb above the couch in the living room needs to be replaced. The location of the home is absolutely wonderful.

An amazing time over all. The lay that greeted us with keys and remote was LOVELY and took care of us. Can’t wait til next visit.

We love the very short walk to lamp post Park and also it is in walking distance to the ranch trail. The beds are cozy, the deck has a nice view and the little gas fireplace is lovely. My daughter and I spent a thanksgiving here, while the rest of the families visited the other family sides. It was traditional for out family ( when my wife was still living) to spend this time in Cambria, as close to Fiscalini Ranch and the coastline as possible. It brought back those sweet memories. It was a joy to wake up to the sound of the surf

The homes are always clean and as advertised. Heidi and Jone are always very helpful, courteous and professional. 1980 Sherwood is a quaint little home across from the beach in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with an amazing ocean view. You can walk just a couple blocks west and hike/bike in the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve or just stay put and enjoy the wonderful tranquility that Cambria has to offer. Another wonderful experience in beautiful Cambria.

Beautiful view and nice location with beach access really close to house.

It was a great location to walk my dog and ride my eBike. I really enjoyed taking my bike from the rental property, through the neighborhood and then the bicycle access road through Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, North to Shamel Park and then Moonstone Beach. I also enjoyed the view from the upstairs livingroom. And they have a telescope that was fun to view the ocean, sealife and sunsets. I even managed to snap a shot of a sunset with my cell while looking through the telescope. FYI: The bedrooms are on the first level. While the location was fantastic for me, my husband would not be able to endure the stairs on this particular rental again. They were a bit too tricky for him and his bad back issues. The stairs do not have treads and one should be mindful to not descend in socks or slippery shoes. Anyway, we had an issue with the coffee maker, but Jone was super sweet to drop off a new one the next day. All in all, it was wonderful. It's Cambria and that's fabulous.

This house...I'll start with the good. It's across the street from the water, and has pretty good ocean views from upstairs. Marine Terrace area so it's SUPER quiet. The beds seemed newer and were very comfortable. Even tho it's small, it has 2 bathrooms - 1 for each bdrm. A garage that you get to use is a plus, as well as the hot tub (although we didn't use that).
What we didn't like: Upstairs is all living room with a tiny kitchen. You can pretty much only have 1 person doing something in the kitchen at a time. If you really wanted to cook, the pans and stuff are very inadequate. The house was OK size in general for 2 people, but 4 people would be really crowding. The slider to the upstairs patio desperately needs repair - like new roller assembly and stuff. It's really hard to push open. And if you are like us and you get cold easily in Cambria, the heater is pretty much useless except to heat the upstairs. Downstairs it's cold and the heater doesn't really do anything down there. The upstairs has a gas fireplace that just operates with a switch, and that's nice to have. Overall our stay was good, but this house needs some fixing up and it's just not one of CVRs better ones.

The trails were in walking distance or a very short drive. I have already booked 2 more vacations here and will continue to book more. The deck has a nice view and the house had everything we needed. My only suggestion would be that there would be some screens on the sliding doors and windows to allow the lovely ocean breeze to come through without mosquitoes coming in.
