We spent a week with family at Sol Mate and couldn’t have enjoyed our stay anymore. All the added amenities such as the putting green, kayaks , game room and pool were such a hit! The home slept all 8 of us very comfortably! We stay in Marathon once a year and we have enjoyed many homes but this is definitely a favorite of ours and we’re already looking forward to next year!

We had a fantastic stay at this gem of a property! Views of the inner bay vs the nearby tight canals were amazing. Plenty of dockage space for boats if you wanted and room for our trailer on site. Easy and deep access to the Gulf. Pool has a great location with sun and shade always. Home was comfortable and covered all of our needs. The game room was an absolute 10 out of 10 for my kids! Will definitely be back!

My husband and I take our 5 kids to Marathon every year. Their ages range between 14-21. This property was perfect for our large family with lots of fun things to do right in your own home. The game room was great for night entertainment. Thank you for a great stay :)

The house was an absolute dream. It was in such a great location that we spent most of our time out on the water. However, at night, all of the amenities were wonderful. The game room is outstanding, and the beds are very comfortable. It was extremely well equipped … and a wonderful place to spend time

This property was great! It had everything that we could have possibly needed for our week stay. The location was nice and was easy to get to from the boat ramp. There was plenty of parking on the property for our vehicles and a boat trailer. We had one rainy afternoon and had a blast playing the arcade games in the game room. There are plenty of areas to hang out inside and outside, we never felt crowded at any point.

When I started looking for a place for my siblings and spouses( 6 total) to stay, I'd look at a property and wonder if it was presented in truth and correct details. Let me say, this home did not disappoint and was true to every detail as advertised. Other than a day trip to Key West, we really had no reason to leave. We did bring our boat and ventured out for the sunset. We enjoyed the pool, Kayaks, mini golf, bikes, corn hole and indoor game room. So many outdoor seating areas. During the heat of the day we relaxed and had a nice breeze under the Oak tree. My favorite was the nice clean Weber grill and the owner had recently purchased a griddle insert. This was great for the Pancakes, sausage and Omelets. The owner could not have been more responsive with ansering questions. Typically within minutes from the time I had questions about booking until checkout. If you like to walk or bike ride, you can walk the path on Avaition Blvd. which is just a block or two away and very minimal traffic. Check in was unbelievably easy. Thank you Darlene for helping us create great family memories and providing us with A+ accommodations!

Fantastic place

Sol Mate is just as wonderful as you see in the listing, and more ! We had a great time. The location is perfect for someone coming with a boat.

The house is well kept, well equipped and very conveniently located. We enjoyed the game room, dining on the upstairs porch and appreciated that Publix was only five minutes away. Very comfortabke for six adults. Also, if you bring a boat dockage is good and open weater is literally 3-4 minutes away. Would stay here again any time.

Really enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was ideally located as it is on the water and we brought our boat down. The house was great with everything you would need. Loved the bikes/kayaks, etc. We had zero issues and Darlene was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. Would highly recommend!

This is a beautiful home. Stunning location on the water. We spent a lot of time on the wrap around deck and pool. Very very clean and all bedrooms and baths well appointed. If i had any questions, the host promptly responded. This is in a great location near stores and restaurants. Highly recommend!

My family and I were looking for a place in the FL keys that would accommodate 6 of us comfortably with water access and a pool. This house did not disappoint! The location was amazing and very central to everything in Marathon. Our VRBO host was even better! Darlene was so responsive leading up to and throughout our stay (although, we did not need to reach out to her much because everything she provided up-front was thorough and as expected). We especially loved hanging out in any of the various outdoor areas while we fished/kayaked off the dock, played mini golf, swam in the pool, enjoyed happy hour and dinner on the second level porch, and relaxed in the hammock. In addition to all of the outdoor areas, every room had a TV + the game room where we watched our Philadelphia Eagles lock in their Superbowl spot on a beautiful 90 inch TV!!! The beds were all very comfortable and there was no shortage of bathrooms/showers! I am usually ready to go home by the end of a 7 day vacation but I could have stayed at this place forever. My mom keeps saying “we WILL be back!” TYSM!

Magnificent house. Ideally located, direct and quick access to the gulf. Many activities in the property: mini-golf, games room, swimming pool, fishing. Very large dock for boats. House very clean and well equipped. Easy checkin. Easy contact with Darlene.

Everything was great. Had everything we needed. No complaints from us. We would stay there again.

Sol Mate was a fabulous home for our family vacation. The house had everything plus more. A great kitchen, family room, outdoor decks, great size bedrooms, wonderful pool, fantastic play room with skeet ball and basketball arcade games that our family spent countless hours having family tournaments, plus a great dock area to keep our boat all week. Then, the owner Mrs. Perez, was fantastic during the booking process, all the way through our stay. We will definitely be back and recommend the house to anyone looking for a great place on the water in Marathon.

Wow! Just wow! The property is amazing! The house was spotless and well stocked with everything you can ever need! The game room was a huge hit and the pictures of it online don't even begin to do it justice! It was AWESOME! The outdoor areas were heaven! The upper porch is where we spent most of our time! We woke up daily before sunrise to catch the view from there! We rented fishing rods from a nearby tackle shop (the house does have some) and caught numerous fish right from the dock. We enjoyed watching a small shark that visited several times and there was also a sea turtle that makes its home in the canal out front that we saw daily! The house is in a great location and there is lots to do around it! Darlene was very pleasant and easy to communicate with! We are so happy that we chose this house and if we are even back in the Keys again, there is zero doubt we would rent this place again! Thank you so much!!!

The pictures don't do this property justice! The house is spacious with access to a full game room, kayaks, bikes, mini golf, and more. The location on the canal is right next to the opening to the ocean for great boat access. My family had a great stay and we will certainly be returning!

Words can’t describe the beauty of this house! Everything you could dream x20! We caught shark from the dock, amazing food at island fish company, kayaked on the calmest of waters, rented a pontoon from marathon boat rental plus more! Darlene was beyond easy to work with making the whole process so simple! If this isn’t on your bucket list it should be!!! Take the warning on the no see ums and don’t go out in the morning or night unprotected. Me and my 50 bites are proof!!

This was a great place for a family vacation. There were a lot of activities for a variety of ages. Any minor issues or concerns were addressed quickly by Darlene. She responded to text without delay. The beds were very comfortable! We have stayed in different homes in Marathon over the past 6 years and these beds were definitely THE most comfortable. One concern mentioned in another review is the dishwasher door hinges don’t seem to work. The door will drop to open and hit the floor. This could be a problem for small children. I’m sure it will be addressed. We saw manatees, nurse sharks, variety of fish, and dolphins off the dock. Having our 21 foot boat on site was nice. The location of the house in a protected wide canal was helpful. No worries for rough waters. My favorite spot was relaxing in the Adirondack chairs under the shade tree. A refreshing spot anytime of day! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This home was clean and well stocked with everything you would need. The kitchen is equipped with a toaster, coffee makers, blenders and plenty of pots and pans. The game room was a hit with the kids! We loved having coffee in the mornings on the porch. We brought 2 boats and there was plenty of dock space. The beds were very comfortable! The property owner was very helpful and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home!

The property was wonderful! It is well equipped for outside activities and inside activities. The game room look so inviting, our group really only used the basketball game but there was so much more! The Tv's were so nice if anyone was in the mood to chill inside. The kitchen was well equipped with everything for cooking that you need. The only thing to watch in the kitchen was opening and closing the dishwasher, the door is heavy and can land on your foot for some reason, but this did not effect functionality of the appliance. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated and set up for guests! We enjoyed the pool and the dock daily, we caught many mangrove snapper with some being the legal size to keep. The chairs outside under the trees were relaxing to use and mini putt-putt was fun for all of us! I highly recommend this vacation for all!

What a great place. The house was just like the pictures. Loved having the dock and pool. House was clean and had more amenities than any other rental we have used. Owners were very responsive and great to work with.

The place lived up to our high expectations, they had everything needed for the pool/beach, plenty of golf equipment, separate bait freezer, game room was amazing, plenty of bathrooms with showers for everyone, great fishing off the dock. Boaters paradise with easy entry into the gulf so even on windy days you can still boat to dinner. We look forward to returning!

Well maintained / Close to everything / Many things to do without leaving the property. Loved It

Sol Mate is meticulously clean, well equipped, artfully decorated and perfectly located. Darlene and Ramiro are helpful, informative and thoughtful- but never intrusive. We have rented many vacation properties and this was overall one of the best. We were four adults and had plenty of room-six adults would be fine as each would have a bedroom and a private bath either ensuite or adjacent. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking, outside areas were delightful. It was great to sit- or eat- on the large upper porch and watch the neighborhood boats go by. We generally do not like canal houses because there is a lack of privacy. The canal here is more like a small lake and the view was lovely and expansive. Also five minutes or less with no impediments to open water. Game room was a hoot and putting greens led to some friendly wagering. We have rented it again for three weeks next year and intend to rent a center console boat for the entire time. Oh, did I mention that the neighborhood is quiet and private- secluded behind the airport - and only minutes from everything in Marathon! Kayaks and bikes were great too. Rent it and you will be very pleased you did.

Unbelievable property and location! Ideal for boaters wanting easy access to the ocean or Florida bay. This will be our go to in the future.

Everything related to the property was absolutely amazing. From the initial booking process until we checked out there isn’t anything more we could have asked for. The house is full of so many great amenities and everything is top notch. Any questions that we had were answered almost instantly.
