We loved the layout and design of this home. The care with which it has been decorated and equipped is delightful. The new outdoor area with hot tub and fire table is a great addition. We used every space within and outside - great for socializing as well as private time. The bedroom with fireplace and view of ocean is a treat. Upstairs game room is A+ (so often a dank afterthought, this one is airy, attractive and has a balcony.) Carpeted nook a nice spot for napping/reading. You can tell the managers of this property really care about guest experience, from the visual appeal from every vantage point to the thoughtful organization of even small spaces. We vacation in Bodega Bay and Dillon Beach regularly and everyone in our group declared this to be the best property yet. Tip for other guests: bring fire starters to help get the wood burning fireplace in the sitting room going. Easy walk to Dillon Beach general store to buy them. Prior guest had logged out of NetFlix which was a little annoying, but if you’re vacationing at the beach to watch television, you’re doing it wrong, in my book. Fun to observe deer, fawns and a neighborhood cat roaming about. You can tell this house has just about everything because the single item we missed was a serving tray (quite possible there was one tucked into pantry somewhere).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is located very close to a culdesac to walk down to the beach. We love this house because it is easy to enter without climbing stairs. The house was very clean. The kitchen was nice but was missing a few key types of usual items such as a colander (such as to drain a potful of pasta). We could not find any salt and pepper dispensers for the table. The house gets a lot of sun and got pretty warm. We would have loved to open some windows in the family room but none of the windows had screens, nor did the slider. This was the same situation upstairs in the game room.Other than those few things, we had a great time and plan to be back.

The house was very clean, well-kept and the layout was functional, plenty of pots, pans, utensils and plates for the stay. With the wind blowing at 30mph the pool table, foosball and ping pong table got a lot of use. The halibut fishing was on point, and we went home with an ice chest full of delicious filets. The location is awesome as the beach is a 30 second walk from the house and the sunsets are front row with no obstructions. Just a great place to stay.

Everything was perfect. Would highly recommend this home if you’re considering a stay in the Dillon Beach area. Two restaurant recommendations that are about 20 minutes away —— Nick’s Cove in Marshall (lunch & dinner) and Estero Cafe in Valley Ford (breakfast & lunch). The scenic car drives through this entire region are spectacular.

Etoile De Mer is a beautiful home and is very well cared for. Kitchen, while not spacious is well equipped and easy to work in. Dinnerware and flatware is plentiful which is really great! Bed and bath linen quality is lovely. I found the mattress to be very firm. The living and family room provides comfortable seating for multiple people - a rare treat! Thoughtful hospitality! Very special place to enjoy the ocean splendor.

This is our 3rd stay here and we absolutely love it. This is a beautiful, well cared for home with great attention to detail. The decor and design creates a very comfortable yet upscale atmosphere. Wonderful ocean views and easy access to the beach. Kitchen is well supplied to cook and dine in. We really appreciate that nice music is playing and lights are on whenever we arrive. Very welcoming. Backyard has been recently updated and was so well done! Great outside seating area!! Nice towels and linens and helpful amenities like toothbrush, etc. Thank you!

Such a beautiful place to stay! The house is beautifully decorated and picturesque views of the ocean and sunrise & sunsets. The morning tide pools were robust with shells and starfish. My little granddaughters were in awe to be able to experience the beautiful marine life. Our only disappointment was my “Lesson Learned”I only had 2 search criteria while looking for a home… a hot tub and walking distance to beach so the disappointment we all had when we tried to turn on the hot tub to get it heated up in which it did not turn on only to be told that the hot tub has not been serviced yet and that why it was not listed! It was listed… as that was my search criteria my granddaughters were really looking forward to it as well as my back! So from now on I’m asking and not assuming that the hot tub is in working order! The primary bathroom had a jet tub so that was the next best thing for them!
