We stayed over Thanksgiving with local family. The house gave us out-of-towners a great respite, though local enough to join in when we were ready. The house is fine and comfy. The only challenge is the driveway. Once mastered, it was kind of fun!

Our group of 5 ladies truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The sunrises from the deck and living room window were breathtaking. We also enjoyed watching the barges, and using the firepit. Joe and Carol answered our questions promptly and even provided a larger folding table for our eating and game playing needs along with a board that we used on the living room table to do puzzles on. They were perfect Hosts! As mentioned in other Reviews the driveway and entrance to the road is a bit challenging, but it helped to arrive in the daylight. Our driver handled it fine with her pickup truck and it was well worth the beautiful views we had from the hilltop. The location was convenient to the Peoria Zoo and Luthy Botanical Garden which we visited. We highly recommend this lovely cottage!

We were in town for a wedding and found this great place to stay. Beautiful view of the water and within a short drive to downtown.

Beautiful. Joe was amazing as our caretaker. Getting in and out on a steep driveway unto a busy street was very tricky

We are a family of 5 visiting from NC. This home was perfect for our stay!

We loved everything about our stay! The view was spectacular, we loved the huge front deck and the back yard. The place was very clean and homey, it was a perfect place for our needs.

We stayed here this past weekend for my daughter's softball tournament. The location was perfect! We had great restaurants within a 5 minute drive and the softball complex was an easy 15-20 minute drive. It was nice to wake up and have coffee on the front deck overlooking the river. If we're playing in town again this season, we'll definitely be checking to see if this location is available!

House was extremely clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the view and watching the barges on the river. Owner was very responsive and welcoming. The only negative was the steepness of the driveway, and the street being busy at certain times of the day. It made it challenging to drive in and out of the property.

Nice house with excellent view, centrally located for the 4 dirt tracks we went to. Stores all around with quiet surroundings . Manager was very helpful.

Four of us traveled to Peoria for a girls weekend. Joe and Carol were great at communicating with us about the property, our booking, and suggestions of things to do and places to go. The views were beautiful and the house had everything we needed.

This was the perfect spot for our trip to Peoria! The location was central for everything we were doing, the view was amazing, the amenities met all of our needs and the owners were the kindest most accommodating people we could hope for!

This VRBO was a wonderful home for my brothers and I to stay as we gathered in Peoria to meet up with our sister who lives local. For us, the location was great, but was not within walking

River traffic, barges, close to excellent reasonable restaurants, quiet location, games, no books, some kitchen amenities as coffee filters, s&p, grocery etc. near. We enjoyed it, easy time. Thank you! Would go back.

We were so thankful for the incredible kindness and hospitality the property managers extended to our family…..they even put out extra lighting to find the drive since we were arriving late into the night!! We felt like we were being cared for like family. The views were fantastic and if time and weather would have permitted we would have spent a considerable amount of time exploring the nearby trail and lake. We also would have spent more time on the deck areas.
